    Hello

You must perform this procedure as the owner / schema of the applications in your workspace for analysis.
You can also use the java Apex export utility.
See this blog for example http://www.talkapex.com/2012/04/command-line-backups-for-apex.html

  • Oracle document for backups of applications Apex?

Y at - it an official document from Oracle that tells us how to export applications apex command line instead of using the GUI in apex?

When I google, I've seen a few links of apex users who had written that export using utilities to ApexExport, but since we are in the windows environment, we are
hard time getting the class_path, java_home... etc to install correctly. I guess that its not just me most of them would have met there.

But I'm looking for an official document to Oracle? (export of the Apex of the command line applications in the Windows environment).

10.2, you have to specify NEWSPAPERS.

    10.2 documentation:
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B19306_01/backup.102/b14194/rcmsynta035.htm#sthref554

However, 11.1 and above, it is NOT necessary and, I would say, must not be specified.
    11.1 documentation:
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B28359_01/backup.111/b28273/rcmsubcl011.htm#i97063
«+ An archive backup is autonomous because is contains all the files needed to restore the backup and recover in a consistent state.» "If the database is open during backup, then RMAN automatically generates and saves them archived redo logs necessary for the protection of the compatible database.

    and
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B28359_01/backup.111/b28270/wnbradv.htm#sthref6
"+ Long term + improved backup management.
+ You can create a backup archiving or long-term with the BACKUP... "KEEP that keeps only the required log files archived to make consistent backup.

    and
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B28359_01/backup.111/b28270/rcmbckba.htm#CHDHAFHJ
"+ When you specify the DUNGEON on the BACKUP command, RMAN generates multiple backup sets. ...... It automatically generates a recovery archived log backup to ensure that the backup of the database can be recovered to a consistent state. »

You could log a SR with support of Oracle to confirm if you need the key word "LOGS" in the BACKUP... KEEP and to identify the behavior if you happen to keep this in your backup command.

In my humble OPINION, not be specify the LOGS of the BACKUP... KEEP.
You could test this in a test environment by doing a BACKUP... MAINTAIN a database that has a very small WINDOW of RETENTION.

  • How recovery works after an online backup

    Hello

Although conceptually tent understand how backup and restoration works, I stumbled upon a question about the hot (on-line) backup.
It is a conceptual question (I'm trying to understand how things work), is not a ' how can I do / what should I do step by step "question.

As far as I understand, an online backup of a tablespace can be done by copying files operating system place a tablespace while the database is in place and used (i.e. transactions are changing data in the database). Before the copy of the operating system starts, the Oracle RDBMS should be informed that an online backup is taken through 'ALTER '.... BEGIN "(such as additional information are written to the log again, that may be required for subsequent recovery using the backup online BACKUP). During recovery, the Oracle RDBMS uses copies of the OS as well as the line and archived files redo logs in order to rebuild all committed transactions and it uses more (uncommitted) transactions ongoing restoration UNDO tablespace.

Think about it, it seems to me that, so that it works in all possible scenarios to cancel it, information from moment has been the backup may be required. So the UNDO tablespace backup suits as well (see the explanation of this assumption below). However browsing the internet (including the Oracle online documentation) I find all instructions for the backup of the UNDO tablespace when an online backup is taken. More I couldn't understand when exactly such a backup of the UNDO tablespace must be done to ensure that the database can be retrieved in all scenarios.

I believe that the cancellation as soon as the last hot backup information can be held for example in the following scenario:
Suppose we take a backup of a given tablespace hot, i.e. we copy all files of the OS that make up this tablespace, while the database is potentially used. Either D1 one of the data files in the space of our table and let the T1 transaction change datafile D1. Allow transaction T1 still be engaged during the copy of datafile D1 are made and allow of (at least part of) T1 changes included in backup D1' D1 (because DBWR has already written the changed blocks to the moment where they have been copied to the backup). Allow transaction T1 be restored once the copy is complete. D1' will therefore include changes in T1, while D1 do not.

Now some time later, the D1 data file is lost. When you get the copy of D1 D1 ", recovery logs (archived) apply to D1. Before that, transaction T1 must be restored in the copy of D1 ", because changes to the T1 should not appear in the version retrieved from the database.
I have however not, understand the information in the statement rollback transaction T1 out exactly. It can still be in the current UNDO tablespace. I guess however that rollback information is not maintained in the UNDO tablespace forever. I see three possible answers to this
    (a) there are some requirements that missed me so far for the backup UNDO tablespace whenever a hot backup is found.
    (b) given that the Oracle "RDBMS" must be notified that you made an online backup, it can store all the information relevant cancellation (e.g. write it in the redo log) when the tablespace is put in backup mode.
    (c) there are situations where recovery is not possible due to the "old UNDO information missing.

Answer (b) seems the most plausible to me. However, I found no confirmation of this and if (b) is really the answer, I'd be interested to understand what information is stored where by the RDMBS Oracle and how it is used for recovery.

To summarize, I have the following questions:
    (I) is there any obligation to save the UNDO tablespace and an online of a tablespace backup, and if so, where is this stated in the Oracle documentation?
(II) mechanisms to ensure that uncommitted transactions can be identified the copy a tablespace online (potentially very long once the copy has been made)?
(III) you know all the links (Oracle documentation or other online resources) explaining these datails?

Thank you for any advice and answers
    Kind regards
    Martin

However I don't see how T cancellation of transaction information can be recovered without such a backup of the UNDO tablespace

Taking your scenario that only datafile D is lost and only this data file must be restored when the loss is discovered in time t8:

At the time the restored datafile D t9 is from t4.

However, Oracle notice now that, while the rest of the database (i.e. all the other data files) from t9, this data file is from the t4. This cannot be permitted (a data file cannot be inconsistent with the rest of the database unless it is offline). That's why Oracle requires you to RECOVER DATAFILE D.
Get it BACK then if applies to all again them (archivelogs) T4 starting until t9 that relates to this data file.
    The price drop happened in the t6 is also re-played - of the redo (no cancellation). {Don't forget that again picking up all of the changes, including restorations! so the cancellation at the t6 was also captured in it again!}
For example, the data file is presented in a consistent state without having to redo cancel them.
No matter if the information contained in the cancellation had been released and crashed between t6, t8 and t9.

When Oracle made a recovery of media to a data file, there no need to cancel - media recovery does not care if the blocks are table, index, LOB, transactions, commits, restorations; It was simply a record physical of all the changes.

PS: This has nothing to do with what version you use V6 11.2
If the tablespace is called 'UNDOTBS1' or 'RBS' is irrelevant.

  • ProBook 4520 s: upgrading my ProBook 4520 s

    Hey there dear community,

I have been using my HP ProBook 4520 s for more than 5 years. It serves me well throughout my college and colleges after years so I decided to try to muscle it a little rather than change. My current system specs are (have it with Speccy):

Operating system: Windows Pro 64-bit 10
    CPU: Intel Core i3 330M @ 2.13 GHz 61 ° C Arrandale 32nm technology
    RAM: 4.00 GB Dual - Channel DDR3 @ 532 MHz (7-7-7-20)
    Motherboard: Hewlett-Packard 1411 (CPU 1)
Graphics card: monitor generic PnP (1366x768@60Hz)
512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series (HP)
    Storage: 1043GB Western Digital WDC WD1001X06X-00SJVT0 (SSD) 42 ° C Black2
Optical drives: DTSOFT device CdRom virtual hp DVDRAM GT30L
Audio: AMD High Definition Audio Device

Now, I have done my share of reading and I reach two conclusions:

-This laptop simply is not designed to work image or processors so my two options above are dual-core i5 or i7 CPU.

From what I've read here and there, the most optimal processor that can be used on this particular device are the i7 - 640M, i7 - 620 M and i5 - 580 M. I understand that if I go with either of these three, productivity would increase with about 25-30%.

    -J' have already updated the 3 GB memory to 4 GB, but to my understanding of this laptop supports up to 8 GB of memory, so I'm considerring getting a 2 x 4 GB DDR3 PC3-10600 • CL = 9 • unbuffered NON - ECC DDR3 - 1333 • 1.5V 512Meg x 64 kit SDRAM SO-DIMM 204-PIN.

My storage is pretty much the best thing to get for this laptop (there the SATA2 port (3 Gbps)) a full 1 TB SSD would be a bit pointless.

    My questions are:

-Are there problems or other things to consider about the possible CPU upgrade? I would love to see a video tutorial on how properly to the replacement

-Am I missing something with the memory upgrade? I'm a little hesitant on that tensions must be on the memory sticks (1.35v or 1.5V).

-Are there else I can do for this in order to make a little more current (drive optical swap with something else, etc..)?

I really appreciate every suggestion and comment.

    Thank you!

    Cap

I7 - 640 M is the top processor of the page. Memory DDR3-1066 and is 1.5 volt. The most recent memory of 1.35 volts to the DDR3-1600 not will probably support. HP recommends this:

    YouTube video

Technology in the video does not actually remove the CPU but it shows. Remove the processor carefully by turning the locking screw for "open" and lift the CPU out. Be extremely careful with the pins. The new line backup the same orientation as the old and drop it in. Just be sure to block the processor setscrew down tight when you go back. You must follow the instructions on the installation of thermal paste and cleaning.

You can also consider a SSD drive. The gains to be achieved will be more sensitive than the CPU or memory. Also keep an eye on what you spend and make sure it makes sense. If I could only do an upgrade, it would be the SSD. I would like to bother with a Blu - Ray player on a laptop.

  • [HELP] Problem with the restoration and recovery in the new host

    Hi, guys!

I have tried for two days, but still can't make it work.
I took a hot (online) full backup archive as well as the control file logs with the SPFILE and then copy the backup to the new host with the same directory structure and parameters. Finally, I tried to restore and recover the database on the new host, but failed during the restore process.

The original host and the new host have the same subject Oracle installed until the patch level. I couldn't understand the solution to this problem based on my knowledge on Oracle DB.

Could someone help me out here? Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

In short, the RCS of the controlfile will be generally higher than corresponding SCN of the data in the event of hot backup (online) file; However, the two SNA will be the same in the case of cold (off-line) backup. Am I entitled?

Yes, it's true. In a backup cold (assuming that the CLOSURE was not a SURRENDER but was NORMAL, TRANSACTIONAL, or IMMEDIATE) all files in the database (data files, redo log and controlfiles files) are 'compatible' - at the same point in time, to the same SCN. In a hot backup, the files are updated. RMAN is not necessarily take all the data files at the same time - for example when you have several data files, RMAN would backup the files in batches of 4 or 8 - data files are therefore controlled at different points in time. Similarly, the controlfile is saved last.

  • How to remove LINE from iCloud backup

My iCloud storage is almost full, because the LINE is hogging 1.3 MB of memory. I appreciate the stories of my LINE, but I didn't need to save in iCloud.

When I tried to delete in iCloud, she threatens me that everything will be deleted from all devices.

I go to iPhone setting to iCloud to disable the list of backup LINE, but the LINE is not yet.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

You have installed for the line to the appropriate application? You can read the files using an application? If the answer to both is no, then line probably is not installed and the phone will not be affected by the deletion of iCloud.

  • How Windows Server backup and command-line tools are used in the installation of vCSHB?

How the Windows Server backup and command-line tools are used during the installation of vCSHB?  It takes in all types of deployments (PtoV, VtoV, PtoP)? It is used to create files that are put in file sharing for the second node to use during the installation of vCSHB or is it only used during a clone of vCSHB of a physical to physical deployment operation?  These tools are not used in some deployments?

You need backup Windows Server installed on the source and destination, and during the installation of vCSHB the installer will call the wbadmin (Windows Server Backup Utility) and will save the configuration and application data (application data is optimal, but can reduce the synchronization time after the installation of the secondary node). On the secondary node you will should only run the vCSHB Installer and everything will be restored.

Check this blog entry for some info on P2P deployment issues: http://www.vcoportal.de/2013/12/vmware-vcenter-server-heartbeat-restore-on-a-second-node-a-journey/

  • Just installed 32.0.2. All the icons on the address line disappeared including the arrow of backup.

That's about all. I can click when the icons were and they work, but "open menu", favorite icons, history lack. I'll try to reinstall 32.0.2

So I downloaded and installed it again and the images of the icons are back.

  • Backup script no longer works in macOS Sierra

This line in a backup script used to synchronize the folder my documents with my Synology NAS:

    rsync - avh - delete - progress ~/Library/"Mobile Documents" / com ~ apple ~ CloudDocs/Documents /Volumes

A ran in the Sierra, he deleted the contents of the folder/Volumes/Documents on the NAS. Nothing is copied.

The ~/Library/"Mobile Documents path" / com ~ apple ~ CloudDocs/Documents is valid in the terminal. I don't see what has changed.

    Modify the script to this:

    rsync - avh - delete - progress ~/Documents /Volumes

A did the trick. Do not know why. The old path seems valid in the terminal.

  • E-mail freezes with black horizontal line

When I open a message in Mac Mail, the screen freezes without a menu bar and a horizontal black line of 1 inch covers the message. I had to force a shutdown. At reboot I restarted / mail, even enamel was still open and froze the screen once again, so I had to reboot again. I am running Yosemite 10.10.5 on a MacBook Pro 15 inch since mid-2010 with a processor Intel Core i5 2.4 GHz and 4 GB of memory. Any ideas on what to do?

Make a backup, preferably 2 on 2 separate drives.

    Exit the Mail.

Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder. Go to Library/Containers/com.apple.mail.  Move the folder com.apple.mail on your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the content.

Reboot, re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, recreate the required e-mail settings and import emails you want to save to the folder on the desktop. You can then put the file in the trash. If the problem persists, return the folder where you have guessed replacing one that is there.

If he does not repeat the above using Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent.
