On the Images of background and layouts

Hello everyone - two quick questions that are virtually related to each other.

First of all, is it possible to make a fixed image against canvas (similar to the background position: fixed in CSS attribute). I have the following code - the image is located in the back while a text is superimposed on it. I want the image remains fixed while the user scrolls the text. I could not find a method to keep the fixed image.

HorizontalFieldManager horizontalFieldManager = new HorizontalFieldManager(HorizontalFieldManager.USE_ALL_WIDTH | HorizontalFieldManager.USE_ALL_HEIGHT){
    // override pain method to create the background image
    public void paint(Graphics graphics) {
        // draw the background image
        graphics.drawBitmap(0, 0, deviceWidth, deviceHeight, _backgroundBitmap, 0, 0);
        super.paint(graphics);
    }
};

Second, is a way to position a field/label button on the screen absolutely? I read on setChildPosition() but I don't think that's what I was looking for. Basically, I want to put in place the following code to show to the bottom right of the screen with some of the background image. I imagine that there is a way to do it, but it eludes me right now.

_playButton = new WhaleAppButtonClass("stream1button_PLAY.png", Field.FOCUSABLE);

Thank you in advance!

Hello

On the background image, you can try something like this:

import net.rim.device.api.ui.*;
import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.*;
import net.rim.device.api.ui.container.*;
import net.rim.device.api.system.*;

public class TestScreen extends MainScreen
{

    private VerticalFieldManager mainManager;
    private VerticalFieldManager subManager;
    private Bitmap _backgroundBitmap = Bitmap.getBitmapResource("sunset.png");

    private int deviceWidth = Display.getWidth();
    private int deviceHeight = Display.getHeight();

    public TestScreen()
    {
        super(NO_VERTICAL_SCROLL);

        //this manager is used for the static background image
        mainManager = new VerticalFieldManager(Manager.NO_VERTICAL_SCROLL | Manager.NO_VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR )
        {
            public void paint(Graphics graphics)
            {
                graphics.clear();
                graphics.drawBitmap(0, 0, deviceWidth, deviceHeight, _backgroundBitmap, 0, 0);
                super.paint(graphics);
            }
        };

        //this manger is used for adding the componentes
        subManager = new VerticalFieldManager(Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLL | Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR )
        {
            protected void sublayout( int maxWidth, int maxHeight )
            {
                int displayWidth = deviceWidth;
                int displayHeight = deviceHeight;

                super.sublayout( displayWidth, displayHeight);
                setExtent( displayWidth, displayHeight);
            }
        };

        /// add your component to this subManager/////////
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button1"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button2"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button3"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button4"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button5"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button6"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button7"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button8"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button9"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button10"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button11"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button12"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button13"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button14"));
        subManager.add(new ButtonField("Button15"));
        ///////////////////////////////////////////////////

        //add subManager over the mainManager
        mainManager.add(subManager);

        //finally add the mainManager over the screen
        this.add(mainManager);

    }
}

And on the definition of the elements in X and there contact information:

There is no direct method to place items in X, Y coordinates.

In this case you will need a custom layout manager.

This article will help you wtitting Manager of custom page layout.

  • Why restore the elements of background and foreground in separate passages in a scene animated 3D CGI?

    Imagine an animated scene 3D CGI (not a stereoscopic scene where you need glasses but a regular CGI 3D scene).

    '

    In the scene, there is a main area (call it the background element) and the foreground or the foreground element.  The substantive element of the scene has a car on the road in the countryside.  The foreground element consists of trees and shrubs that grow on trees. The shot is 4 seconds and movement of the camera is a simple camera upward tilt, where the camera is located upward to the Crown of a tree and behind that tree and the camera tilts down to place as he leans on his car in the background.

    It is recommended to render elements (background, foreground, etc.) in the separate and composite passes in post-production.

    The question is:

    Why is it advisable to render the elements of background and foreground in separate passages in a 3D CGI animated the scene? In the example of the previous shot, why not make the background and foreground together in the same passage?

    In order to strengthen this argument, I read somewhere online of an excerpt of a book that says the following:

    "In addition, it is also common to render elements of 3D animation, such scenes.

    as the background and foreground, passes separate to be met

    in the post ".

    Why is he current to render the components separately in the animated scene?

    Thank you!

    If you have separate passages, you can choose to manipulate elements in the application of the composition, rather than opportunities all in 3D, which can take some time. For example, you might choose to blur on the background in the application of the makeup, or you could choose to lighten or darken. Similarly, when rendering passes from the scene, you can have - say - a passage just for reflections, so you can decide to mix the highlights/highlights different facts in the application of the makeup, to make them stand out more or submit their. And so on.

    I'm retouching of images taken on my iPhone 6 more with Photoshop CS6. I'm doing my color correction and add effects and all that. Before you export the image I review and be sure to what I has no more sharpness and the lines are smooth and it looks good overall. I export it to JPEG, max quality with the establishment of reference standards. I then open the image and it seems fine, as it did in photoshop. My problems begin to occur when I try to download on Twitter as my profile picture. I tried downloading from my office directly on the site via google chrome. When I download the image then begins to have jagged edges and overlooks the tablets. So I thought it was some performance settings, then I tweaked them and restarted a couple of times and still the same result. He would go on my desk but when uploaded to twitter as my profile picture is horrible. So I tried emailing the image of myself and the download through my phone. I opened the image on my iphone and it seemed fine as he did on my desktop but when I downloaded the image it makes then look blurry. I had this problem when downloading photos Twitter via my iphone, so it doesn't surprise me. I have read different forums saying: you must download it from the office, so I thought it would work like this. This could be a problem of twitter than compresses uploaded photos? Other people can do very much the same way, but it does not work for me. Please someone help me before I put my computer in an oven microwave.

    This could be a problem of twitter than compresses uploaded photos?

    Yes. The rest, we can answer. You wrote a lot, but very little discussion. Instead of accurate information you lose yourself in the vague descriptions. Screw color management to the wrong dimensions that trigger resizing server-side it could be any number of things here.

    I'm trying to reduce the file size of a jpeg file, but the dialog box under image > image size reflects a much smaller that the file is. I saved the image after resampling and simplistic image, the pip size reduced to 72 and lowered the low quality only to see the minimum file size reduction. Why the dialog box in photoshop gives me a different file size than my computer and how do I solve this problem? Thank you!

    The Image Size dialog box dialog box shows the uncompressed size.

    Your operating system (Explorer/Finder) shows the size compressed. (size on the disk)

    If you use save for Web, you can see the compressed size, but also an overview.

  • Having difficulty using the quick selection tools to remove the images of background form. Any help appreciated

    Hi all

    I try to remove the background from images using 3 different selection tools.  I'm going fine, but eventually the images together ceases to be caught than ever the tool I use.  It is easier if you use a pro version of photoshop and not all versions of elements?  I have 11 items.

    Thank you

    You are welcome. If this does not work for you, consider using a mask. The goal is to preserve the foreground and hide/remove the background...

  • Repetition of the images of background in tables

    I'm working on a web page with a background image in a table. I also inserted a table within that table even to include text. When I saw this in Netscape/Firefox and increase the text size one or twice in the menu of browsers, the table with the image starts to repeat the text increases in volume. I don't mind text changes size, but is there a way to stop the table repeat the background image? It is a problem since the repeated image looks terrible.

    Use CSS-

    table {background-repeat: no - repeat ;}}

  • Create the image with black and white patterns

    Hello

    With the attached VI I am able to create an image that is completely black (or white or any color according to values in the color palette). See picture1.

    Is it possible to create an image as photo 2 and photo 3 or any other form which consists of black and white patterns? I need an image with black and white areas that a camera can recognize.

  • How to unlock the custom desktop background and activate

    Our technician COMPUTER has blocked my desk so that I can not customize the background and change the wallpaper. I was looking on the internet for solutions. It seems that what we call "regedit" can solve this problem. However, I can't locate same command "Run" in the start menu either.

    Is there another solution to unlock me my office?

    Thank you
    Perri

    I do not think that you will find everyone here is ready to give you instructions to work around your COMPUTER service.

    You should talk with the staff of the it Department at your job on your desire to change the background.

  • Why no response regarding the lack of background and text colors?

    Although I see that two posts asking why this happens, the only answer has been asked which PC they had. I'm having the same problem (background colors and text are ignored) with this pavilion ze4900 (IE9.1). Pages display properly on my desktop PC but not on this laptop. Driver chart updated today but no change. I'm not formatting HTML simple like bgcolor = text color and black lime green = talking (even if the format #00000). I do HTML (no java, no flash, but a simple formatting) for my web sites and ebay auctions and have never had this problem other than on this laptop.

    After the search for other sources mentioning accessibility features, I thought about it. The IE Options for accessibility and the colors were not the solution, but by going to control panel, I found other accessibility options and had the function of "High contrast" which forced most of the elements without color and also made most of the invisible extra boxes (no border).

  • Urgent! InDesign CC, problems of placement of the image with Mac and Windows

    Hello

    When I tried to place an image or move pages in another file, indesign gives the following error.

    "The file does not exist, you may not, or the file is perhaps currently in use"

    I tried renaming the file, copy the file or re-edit the images... Nothing has worked... I am convinced that this is a problem with the mac and windows integration...

    How can I transfer files without problem from the Mac to the PC or vice versa.

    already solved...
    Mac OS permission issues.
    Adobe customer service solved the problem

    For more explanations and for your understanding...

    1. I create a template for my colleagues to work under Windows. Give them the files with a flash drive.

    2 employees were working on Mac...
    3. I took the model in a flash drive and tried to place some pictures...

    4 indesign gives me an error saying "the file does not exist, you may not, or the file may be in use by another application."
    5. I tried to recreate a link to images in document thinking "Okay maybe." it's a problem of link

    6 indesign gives me an error saying "the file does not exist, you may not, or the file may be in use by another application."

    7. I have tried to move the pages in the document to another, think "might be that I can work around this problem.
    8 indesign gives me an error saying "the file does not exist, you may not, or the file may be in use by another application."

    9. I tried to place another image to another folder

    10 indesign gives me an error saying "the file does not exist, you may not, or the file may be in use by another application."

    11. I tried to rename the file and after that the evolution of the file

    12 indesign gives me an error saying "the file does not exist, you may not, or the file may be in use by another application."

    I guess that this time there is no confussion in your mind...

    to cut the story short, it's a problem generated by authorization on Mac problems. It is resolved by defining the whole Adobe preferences folder and its contents to be read/write, not just read-only.
    In Mac OS: [Drive] /Users/ [username] / Library/Preferences/Adobe
    In Windows [drive] \Users\ [username] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe

    also after you change these files for read/write, you must copy the files you worked on once again.

    Thanks for your attention...

  • Script to remove all the images, text blocks, and the page numbers on a layer

    I have a 364 pages with 322 illustrations, photographs mainly, for offset printing.

    The photographs will be be overprinted with the varnish on a plate in the fifth, and I set it up as follows:

    On a new layer, (double layer 1) all photos are removed, but not their mounts.

    The frames are then filled with 100% black.

    All text blocks and page numbers must also be deleted.

    I realize I could have done this job easier if I put all the images on their own layer first, but unfortunately I do not have.

  • Why is there a difference between the size of the image in photoshop and the investigator?

    Because there is a difference between the size of the physical FILE of a recorded file, and the actual size of the same file MEMORY use when it is opened in an application.

    Jpg is a file format of an image compressed with loss that compresses the image data when recording. When you open this file in Photoshop, it will be decompressed in memory, as Photoshop requires access memory of uncompressed data.

    Simple as that. Try to save as uncompressed tiff file. You will notice that the file size will be the same as the open in Photoshop.

    I'm designing an interactive catalog in a pdf document. Is it possible to have the images as a thumbnail then click to enlarge the image and then click again to bring them back to the original size?

    Thank you in advance!

    Select the small image and amounted to a button, place the magnified image and which to a button. Change the button to show/hide the big button do. The large button is hidden until the button is clicked, and then to hide when you click New.

    Alternatively, you can have another InDesign document with images in full size, add text anchors to the images full size. Convert the small images for the buttons (or add invisible buttons above them) and tell the buttons to go to anchor text in the other document. Combine the two documents in a book, export to interactive PDF format.
