  We are currently developing an e-learning in Captivate where the learner has the ability to create a personalized avatar to be used throughout the online learning. The learner can choose between sex, color of skin, the color of the hair and outfit. This translates into 54 different avatars. Now we come to the conclusion that we must develop 54 similar projects, but each with a different avatar. E-learning itself is also quite complex, so development time will be huge. Is there another way, then develop learning online 54 times (javascript might be an option, but we do not have this expertise at the moment)?

  OK so here's my advice:

  • Using a MP4 instead of an image PNG is a bad idea.  You will lose a lot of bandwidth and probably compromised the user experience with download times and slow playback.  An image will always be easier to work than a video.
  • If there are only so many components of these avatars and you assemble each avatar using a small subset of images (body, face, hair, etc.), then you can place all the on a slide at the beginning all to be programmed for the rest of the project and then control their visibility for the duration of the project through the sharing of conditional Actions triggered on slide enter for each slide.  In this way, you can use the same path for all users.
  • If possible I suggest you that you simplify the number of combinations of avatar to a handful.  If you do then you could get away with just having each avatar image fully assembled and then shown or hidden by the actions.  This should have very little overall impact on your published project size.

  There is a very good web gallery TTG pugin (Turning gate)

  Its called client response Gallery. When configure your clients can select the images they are interested in, fill in the details, you specify (email, name, comments) and press the Send button.

  You will then get an email with a list of the files that they have chosen. Copy and paste this list into your search bar of LR and all will show selects it. Extremely useful.

  One of my favorite features is the ability to have more than a preview on the screen image at a time. Saves a lot of open click click Close.

  I am building an online language learning platform. Part of our feature will be to have a direct communication between teachers and students with the least amount of trouble.
  This video of Firefox is great, because teachers and students can share a link within our chat system and start their courses right away, and it will remove an amazing amount of coding hours to have something similar.

  Can we sort of personalize this service? Maybe we can work together somehow and support each other? Oh, I can't chat in the video system functionality, I think that this will be a great addition if you can have it in place.

• Question about the subscription renewal for vSphere lab Essentials home

  First post on the forum here.  My apologies if this isn't the right place for a question like this.

  I have a lab at home that I have set up using the "VMware vSphere 5 Kit Essentials" that I had bought on the VMware online store.  It was a pretty fun because it let me familiarize themselves with the technology that I use at work without the same consequences for the mistakes of the project.

  To be honest though, I have never much thought about support and subscriptions for it... Setup should really just have to learn and be the main server for my house projects.  The cost for me to buy the Kit of Essentials has been a little more than $500 a year ago, and it seems that my still currently active subscription (my account displays "subscription only" for the Essentials Kit) allows me to download the latest patches and maybe even upgrade to a new major version in the future.  I would like to continue the subscription, as this seems to be more profitable that leave on the subscription and then renew... compared to the initial $ 500, a one or three year renewal looks pretty good - and I'd get to continue to be on the latest versions of the vSphere Essentials.

  I thought it would be as simple as clicking on renew somewhere on my account, but that begins to not look like an option.  I think that I am driven to get in touch with a business partner for the subscription renewals (is this sounding right?).  This seems a bit much for me for a small laboratory at home like mine.  Is the only way to renew a subscription via a partner company?  If I'm completely off track here, please let me know.  If I'm here, does anyone know (or recommend) a partner company that manages small renewals as mine would be?

  Maybe I'm hesitant for nothing, but I thought I would ask those who understand the subscription and support better than me.

  To answer my own question, I discovered that for users with contracts less than $3,000... is it possible to make a renewal online without the need to go through a partner.  It turns out that the link to the online renewal page is available through the 60, 30, 15 days notice in advance of the emails that are sent to the holder of the account (which is how I found it).  The page renewal me related to this FAQ PDF that I found useful.  I was able to successfully renew my subscription from the link.

  FredMcD, you really need correct/update your clipboard for that.

  The downloadable Shockwave player version (not flashing) is 12.1.3.153 and not 15.0.0.152 as you can be confusing which version of the flashplayer reached before.

  Flash player is 15.0.0.189 and not 14.0.0.179 as you can see at https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

  Flash player is used for good Flash videos like Youtube and Flash games in Shockwave player is little used compared to Flash, for things such as games and online learning tools.

  And please, don't say "I asked. It's the way it is displayed on the site"as you said last time in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1026518 , because who says little about why you're wrong ad versions and calling Shockwave player, Shockwave Flash.

• I installed 4 GB of RAM in my computer Windows XP which has detected correctly 4096 MB, but the system information that 2 GB of Ram available.

  I recently installed a maximum of 4 GB of RAM for my Win XP Home computer: four tips of 1024Mo in 4 available memory locations. Story: It came with 512 MB of RAM (256 MB two cards to 2 of the 4 slots). I sometimes treat files large image or video in a few applications, and if I do too much without saving the files, I get something like "...". not enough memory to complete... "and can not save either and lose an hour or two of work, all frozen, treatment and once had to turn off the computer by pulling the power plug (nothing else worked). Later, I added two boards of 1024 MB and moved the two 256 MB for the other two locations. The computer has detected correctly the RAM and showed 2,560.00 of available physical memory total MB of RAM in system information and available physical memory 2.00 GB (currently about 550 MB, current process). I put 4 GB page file. That helped a lot with the processing of these applications, but if do not attention, the same "...". not enough memory... "thing and I lost the job. So I added another 2 identical cards of 1 GB replacing the two planks of 256 MB. The 4 GB of RAM, I've added exact IS correct type for my computer. Set the pagefile to 1.5 times RAM available, etc, so that's it of OK. NOW THE PROBLEM, if it'S a PROBLEM: in the information system RAM is detected OK, showing 4,096.00 MB total physical memory, BUT not much more available memory: 2.16 GB available physical memory! Total virtual memory 2.00 GB remains the same in both cases, even if I put the pagefile of 12 GB. Page file space shows what I put in more added about 2 GB.
  SO THE QUESTION: Is all the 4 GB of RAM (essentially) available for use with my operations high megabytes to image and video processing applications?  Or is Win XP steal my RAM and makes the page file? What happens here? You wish to know if I've lost $120,00 on two more strips of 1 GB of memory. Thanks loads, if someone can tell me.
  Did not have a pretty good test in image/video applications to find out if I won anything yet. Always the same 550MO ongoing process. And Yes, I spent hours on the things in forums of online learning on the page file and RAM, most of which I knew already, but there is no explanation on the information system does not more than 2 GB of RAM available.

No, there is no way to magic, you can force a Windows 32-bit operating system to use all 4 GB of RAM. There is a difference between the question of whether a motherboard will support a certain amount of memory and an operating system be able to access memory. In the main screen, I create a Menu with password and username and I want to use this menu to change the ip addresses of the other VI. I did this task with global value, but when I change the work of the value of the other VI fine but when I shut the windows and when I open again the global variable is empty. My question is how can I store the new value?

  So I want to configure the ip address of the other VI (I create a menu system to make some changes as the Board of Directors). Then I type a new IP address and close the "vi admin".

  In LabVIEW, this is called a Subvi. You can have in - and outputs of a sub - VI connected by wires...

  After I opened the main program with tcp connection and ip address is configured and stored.

  Device application is certified only on Air and Nexus 9 tablets iPad. Technically, it should work on all Android devices that has the wide/Extra wide screen size.

  However, this feature is still in the pipeline, which should be introduced in future releases of the first Captivate.

  You should learn both, but you use may depend on the nature of what you want to display. AE can do graphics racing autour with the blur of movement and Photoshop quality filters, as well as the 3D perspective. But it is not very good at animations of the 2D characters.
