Open a PDF apart from Firefox / Acrobat Reader DC has not successfully installed
I'm new to Win 10 and try to get my Firefox browser to open in Acrobat Reader rather than the built-in player of Firefox. I followed the instructions of Mozilla to use
Acrobat Reader to open PDF files. I checked these settings about 8 times, and it always shows to use Acrobat Reader rather than the built-in player.
These settings have worked to Win 8, but fail to win 10. Despite the good configuration of Firefox, a PDF file opens in the embedded player.
I thought that maybe I need to download the CD player. My Acrobat Reader is Pro 9. However, when I tried to install that, I got "From Adobe Acrobat Reader DC have not installed successfully."
So now I have a very frustrating problem of two layers.
Hello
In the above screenshot if you scroll gets an option for PDF.
Here, select Acrobat Reader in the list.
Thank you

When I try to open a PDF file with adobe Acrobat reader, windows media center automatically opens. How to prevent this? I just want to open the PDF file with Acrobat reader.
The solution I think. If you right-click on one of the files and select open the file locations it now combined the file with adobe reader.
Yes - you simply need to change the associated file (and path) back to Adobe Reader. (If that's your choice PDF reader.)
If you did this:
Press the Windows Logo and R key at the same time to bring up the dialog box RUN.
Once you have the dialog box up, type in the following command and press OK...cmd /k ftype AcroExch.Document
That he return with? Should be something like:
AcroExch.Document = "C:\Program files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" '%1'

According to the version of Firefox 3.6.24 Notes:
Operating systems* Mac OS X 10.4 and later
Minimum hardware requirements
* Macintosh computer with an Intel x86 or PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor * 128 MB RAM (Recommended: 256 MB RAM or greater) * 200 MB hard drive space
the MAC PowerPC G4 is supported. I tried to install this 3 or 4 times and it never moved. It acts like it is install but when I check the version I am running, he is always 3.6.23.
If he has problems with the update or the permissions then simpler is to download the full version and trash the version currently installed to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the file on the desktop disk image (dmg)
- Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
- Trash the present application Firefox to do a clean (re-) install
- Install the new version you downloaded
Your profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you will not lose your bookmarks and other personal data if you uninstall and (re) install Firefox.

Mozilla Firefox Acrobat Reader Plugin ignores the security setting of the PDF document.
Mozilla Firefox Acrobat Reader Plugin ignores the security setting of the PDF document.
When, for example, the document is protected against printing (confirmed in Acrobat Reader DC 2015.007 20033) it is possible to print from Mozilla Firefox.
Environment:
Windows 7, Firefox 38.0, plugin for Adobe Acrobat Reader 15.7.20033.2203
Are you sure that you are using the Adobe Reader plugin and not Firefox "own PDF Viewer? See http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html

Open a PDF in IE8 with Acrobat, not Reader?
Hi Chaps,
I used to be able to open a PDF file from a HTML link, which would then open in Internet Explorer 8 using Adobe Acrobat.
Since the installation of Adobe Reader, all PDFs open in IE8 using the player, instead of Acrobat, so now I can't modify the PDF.
I searched through preferences in both programs, changed all types of program associate for Acrobat, reinstalled Acrobat files, but I can't get it back!
I use Windows 7 (64-bit), Acrobat 9 and Reader 9.
If anyone knows which option to change, it will help me no end!
Does not support Adobe Reader and Acrobat on the same Windows machine. Uninstall the drive and then re-install Acrobat.

Wie kann ich Win10 / firefox / Acrobat Reader DC als Voreinstellung
Wie kann ich Win10 / firefox / Acrobat Reader DC q so, dass PDF Dokumente immer mit Adobe Reader DC open werden?
Hi gerdk87960217,
Acrobat Reader DC is automatically set as the default PDF on installation manager.
Otherwise, open Acrobat Reader DC, go to the Edit-> Preferences-> General-> click "set as my default PDF Manager."
Click OK to confirm the changes.
Kind regards

When you try to open a PDF file, it says "Acrobat could not load the DLL base."
I do not have any Antivirus and when I want to open a PDF it always says "Acrobat could not load the DLL base."
Hello Kushagra_Saxena,
To address your error message:
You can repair Adobe Reader in Control Panel:
In Windows, choose Start > Control Panel, and then double-click programs and features.
Click on adobe Reader.
Click on modify and follow the instructions to repair the application.Since you don't have an Antivirus, you can download Microsoft Security Essentials for free.
It offers offers protection in real time for malware, spyware and other virus infections. It runs
quietly and efficiently in the background.
You can download at the following Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/security_essentials/default.aspxI hope this helps.

Where Iget can help with this message? «Adobe Acrobat Reader DC could not open (my file.xls) because it is not a type of supported file or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an attachment to e-mail and has not been correctly decoded).» I don't know where to go or how to solve this problem. It started to happen after I went to the office 356 and uses Windows 10.
Please see the troubleshooting provided in this KB doc steps: fix damaged document error when opening PDF files

Acrobat Reader DC will not install. It goes about 85% and stops with a message that the file I am trying to achieve is on a network and not available. Totally frustrated that many files need this program to open.
I got this program for years. Update Windows 10 and after nothing more than headaches with he returned to Windows 7 and it is then Acrobat has stopped working.
There is no uninstall for Mac Reader program. You can directly delete the application from the Applications folder, which is just trash/Applications/Adobe Reader.app.
Then you can download Adobe reader from here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
Kind regards

bundles of thanks in advance to get out.client_host is not available in forms 6i as part of webutil. However you don't need client_host. Simply use the host :

Could someone please tell Adobe programmers to give the possibility to remove ' home, tools, documents, learn Adobe icon, link icon Mobile and sign in "from the Acrobat Reader toolbar.
Even assuming that we could achieve these programmers they don't make decisions like that, do marketing.
