Open a pdf file directly in IE11 (ACrobat Reader VI, 8.1 for Windows)
Hello!
We use Acrobat Reader, Windows 8.1 and IE11 in our society.
Unfortunately, no user is able to open a PDF directly with IE11.
Instead of opening the pdf file, there is a popup that asked what to do with the pdf file - open, save, or save as
I couldn't find a way to set a default action (open)
In earlier versions, it was possible to set the option 'open in browser '.
This option is missing from AR11.
But why?
How can I adjust the deafult action?
THX
Hello together!
the problem was still there, so I decided to change my search.
Fortunately, I found a post from technet, which describes our problem.
The following solution worked in our environment. Documents PDF will now open directly in IE11.
In Windows 7 (also Win8.1), there is no default AttachmentExecute key. For this reason, the checkbox "always ask before opening this type of file" is missing in the download dialog window.
In fact, you can choose to add this key in your registry in according to txt, copy them to Notepad, then renamed as a .reg file. After that, import it into the registry.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\AttachmentExecute\ {0002DF01-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}]
"AcroPDF.PDF.1" = hex (0):

I guess that you are looking for this:
Open drive
Go in Edition > Preferences > General
Uncheck the option, the online storage see the opening of the files
Click OK and restart

I can't open a PDF file already created in Acrobat Pro
I get an error message that says:
There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and cannot be repaired.
Anyone know how to get around this problem? It makes me crazy!
In the same vein, where did you get these PDF files? If the e-mail, they are probably corrupt. For example, you can try to open the campus map to http://www.comm.vt.edu/Contact_Find_Us/campus_map.pdf. To test, it is probably best to download, or you can watch a show of browser plugin instead.

Is there a way (yet) to save a PDF file to disk using Acrobat Reader iOS iCloud
Any suggestions on how to save a file Acrobat Reader in iCloud drive in iOS. It doesn't seem to be one obvious solution other than emailing myself or using Dropbox. Surprising Adobe has not yet added this feature of Acrobat Reader.
While we do not currently provide support for the economy to iCloud Drive, iOS 10 will add this feature, and if you install the public beta version of iOS 10, you can try:
IOS 10, when the document is opened in Acrobat Reader, press the ' share' button to the right of the toolbar at the bottom. Then select "Open in... ' and then select 'Add to iCloud Drive' in the bottom row of the icons.
It is also interesting to note that with the latest version of Acrobat Reader (even with iOS 9), if you open a file to iCloud by car (via 'more places' in the scene selector), all changes will be saved to iCloud by car.

Open a pdf file in a single note
Good evening
I am trying to open a PDF file in an email, and I'm not able to him easily. What is the procedure please?
Thank you

Hello
To open a PDF file, you must have Adobe Reader/Acrobat on your computer or any Manager PDF. If you try to open a PDF file from a link in an e-mail or OneNote, then first, check the default PDF on the computer Manager.
Apply for management of default PDF Adobe Acrobat or Reader and try to open the PDF file of the links.
If you are looking for something else, please provide us with the workflow.
Thank you

How to open a pdf file in its native player in iOS using AIR?
Hello
I wonder if there is no feasibility to open a pdf file directly in its native player in the environment of iOS. I had to do since an AIR application.
I found that AIR can be applied using a java program to run the task above for Android.
Here is the link: http://www.jamesward.com/2011/05/11/extending-air-for-android/
Thanks in advance,
SRI
Hello
When you say native player, you mean ibooks? or the integrated web PDF Viewer?
iBooks:
Use the URL scheme provided by apple to call the app... you can find more information about certain patterns known to http://wiki.akosma.com/IPhone_URL_Schemes
I him have not tested/used, but it is average of thw you can call other apps of your application.
WebViewer:
Create an instance of StageWebView, a load then the PDF with it:
var view: StageWebView = new StageWebView();
view.viewPort = new Rectangle (0,0,320,480);
View.stage = stage;
view.loadURL ('yourPDF.pdf');
Note: I have not tested the latest code, it may contain errors, but you get the idea...

My pdf files secure when I make them or are they for all to see
I just wanted to know that when I make a pdf file on my computer, is it safe to my computer or is - to see everything and not secure. Anyone with the entrance on this would be greatly appreciated thanks.
I don't know what you're asking. If you have created a PDF file on your local hard shore, ask yourself if everyone can see? PDf is a file and can be seen by anyone who has access to \the hard shore on your computer. If I don't have access to your computer I can't see it. If you download this PDF on a Web site, anyone with access to this Web site can download your PDF and can see it. If you send me the PDF file I can see it.
Does that answer your question?
Or do you mean that you have distributed your PDF to a lot of people and I wonder if anyone gets their hands on it can see? If that's what you ask then the answer is that you can encrypt your PDF in Acrobat and only people who are allowed to open this PDf file can see. Acrobat provides two methods of encryption: encryption of password and certificate encryption. Password encryption is simpler, but there might be flaws in the dissemination of the password. Certainly do not communicate it in the same email in PDF. Encryption certificate is more selective, but requires more work. You must have a digital ID to encrypt private key and certificate with the public key of all the possible beneficiaries of your PDF in time you encrypt PDF. Each PDF recipient must have the digital ID with the private key installed on his computer. You get the certificate with the public key that you include on the encryption.
You can Google "encryption certificate in Acrobat" you will get links to tutorials that explain how to use this feature.

Anyone know why I can't open the PDF files attached to an email directly since I updated to 11.0? I could do it all day long before the update.
For some reason, the association of file in windows has been lost so I had to associate. PDF with Adobe Acrobat Reader extensions again. All together.

I have activate acrobat, but it happens always next time I need to open a pdf file. The same problem occurs when I use a quicktime file. I can down down I would allow me every time but one time, next time, I want to use, see, or hear a quicktime file I get the same question. It's very annoying. I went into options and chose the file to use to open rather than have me ask but it does not solve the problem either.
Hello moxiet, please go to the firefox menu > addons > plugins where you can set general preferences for individual plugins (always ask or always activate).

When I try to open a PDF file with adobe Acrobat reader, windows media center automatically opens. How to prevent this? I just want to open the PDF file with Acrobat reader.
The solution I think. If you right-click on one of the files and select open the file locations it now combined the file with adobe reader.
Yes - you simply need to change the associated file (and path) back to Adobe Reader. (If that's your choice PDF reader.)
If you did this:
Press the Windows Logo and R key at the same time to bring up the dialog box RUN.
Once you have the dialog box up, type in the following command and press OK...cmd /k ftype AcroExch.Document
That he return with? Should be something like:
AcroExch.Document = "C:\Program files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" '%1'

When I open a PDF file, I get the following message "invalid plugin detected Adobe Acrobat reader DC will leave" I reinstalled Adobe DC but still the same problem, it happens with all PDFs. Any advice much appreciated.
Hi Stephen39,
Do you have any 3rd party plugin installed for Adobe Reader? If not, close all instances of Adobe Reader running and delete the entire folder to: C:\program Adobe [version] \Reader\plug_ins.
Now go to control panel > programs and features. Locate the entry for Adobe Reader X and choose to repair the installation.
If you do not have a 3rd party plugin installed, try to uninstall them and see if the problem is related to the same. If it works, let me know what plugins have been the origin of the problem so that I can have a look.
If all goes well, this should fix things.
Thank you
Nicos

Hi Lisa,
To download PDF files, you have nothing else except a web browser.
However, to open the pdf file that is downloaded, you certainly need to download Acrobat Reader: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC DistributionKind regards
