opening a saved wordpad file

In general, I save URLs I want to send an e-mail or mailed later to a wordpad file.  Now, I can't open any saved wordpad file.  When I click on the file, I get an error message telling me Word cannot open Starter.  (I never bought MS Office, so I did not Word).  Whenever I open a wordpad file before, Word Starter has not started.  Any thoughts?

You could go to start / program by default and default Wordpad program or buy Microsoft Office.

You can download Open Office (free) and use it, you will need to go into the settings and tell it to save files in Microsoft format or modify every file in record under, files of type.

    Good news and bad news.
The bad news is: PDF files are permanently damaged, and you need to remove them.

The good news is: you can avoid this happening again.

Download the installer ollfine Reader 11 here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Save the DMG - DO NOT climb or run Setup yet.

    Quit Safari.

    Go to: Mac HD/Applications

Basket of the Reader 11 application from here

    Go to: Mac/HD/Library/Internet Plugins

    Trash the AdobePDFViewer.plugin file

    Trash the AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin file

    Empty the trash

Mount the DMG and run the installer from the reader.

Open Safari and go to: Safari > Preferences

On the Security tab, make sure 'Allow all other plugins' is checked.

You can now redownload previously "damaged" PDF files and they will be open.

  • Problem: Opening loss of saved job file in Illustrator

I have a computer that deals the Illustrator oddly. My student records his file, he shut up and quit unexpectedly on Illustrator. The next day, back in the classroom, she opens his folder and is absent from work since the day before. What happened to 4 - 5 times this year. It's happened on other computers as well, but students may have screwed up. This student's attention and I'm starting to think that there might be a glitch in Illustrator.

We are working on the iMac with Yosemite and the latest version of Illustrator CC

I worked with Illustrator since 1988 on a daily basis. The few times where that has happened was the operator error of savings under the same name of file to another folder and once was a problem of the server (using a mac on a windows server) cache and the file showed correct within a few hours. Servers are a lot better now and if you waited 24 hours and the file appeared correct then you know you have a rare server problem (the distribution and duplication of the RAID were to catch up).

If you had to open the file and the layers have been flattened and embedded images, it is a technical problem that opens the .pdf half the file rather than half when registering with pdf compatible with .ai.

I can understand how someone who takes care of that you would trust their file management skills more than other students, I don't know any of them so am impartial. Rather than seeking a glitch in Illustrator, I recommend that you search the problem completely. Not to incriminate a student, but to show them the steps you would take in the professional world.

    1. Search the entire disk, server, shuttles USB drive connected to the same or similar file name.
    2. Check the file modification date against when the student says that they have saved the file. Make sure they know all about this region.
    3. Check the server the day following the date of modification, and if the contents of the file have changed.
    4. Teach students effective world real file naming conventions, so who have backups incase their file is corrupted or power failure. Most of the agencies only have to register with a 01 to the and increments for each revision, dragging old versions in a folder named previous or similar.

The printing industry is very competitive and saturated. Giving students of file management and troubleshooting skills are essential to their ability to find a job in this industry.

Feel free to come back, but please provide some screenshots or variables to use, than without and the facts will be difficult to help you know what is happening.

Have faith well, Illustrator is not perfect, but save and do not open with updates files are very rare and I find a positive attitude and cool head is important to have.

  • Cannot open Photoshop saved the RAW file in Photoshop...

I got back from my school library, where I was using one of the scanners to scan my negatives. I scanned the files directly in photoshop CS3. In hindsight, I would have absolutely saved in tiff format, which has worked before, but this time I saved the files in raw. It is Photoshop raw, not Camera Raw. I assumed that I could open these files on my computer at home (Photoshop CS4), but apparently I was wrong. If I try to open raw files, I get a dialog box called "Photoshop Raw Options" and if I tap 'OK', it tells me something about missing color profiles, so I give myself a picture of grey noise. If I change the settings in the dialog box (the files have been saved to 16-bit grayscale with Mac byte order), I thought that "specified image is larger than the file", and I can't open the image.

What is going on? Why I can't open in Photoshop files I just recorded in Photoshop? My past few hours have just been a total waste?

    jbz2105 wrote:

Yes, well enough, unless you know the exact size and can correctly fill required dialogs required to open a "raw" Photoshop file. You've discovered that the 'raw' format isn't related at ALL to Camera Raw. It's really a support to the format in the early years, used at the time where there weren't some formats of files available on some computer systems... and Yes, you SHOULD have used TIFF.

  • Windows is unclear, said program to open the saved favorites

I've saved my favorites (saved) according to your instructions on desktop as a .json file.

When I tried to open to check, Windows says that it cannot open the file cos he needs to know what program I want to use to open it and gave options to use the web to auto select or choose from the list of programs.
I don't know what to do.

Note that you can restore a JSON backup in bookmarks (library) Manager.

    • Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > restore > choose file

Restore a JSON backup will replace all current bookmarks.

You can open such a JSON file in Notepad (Firefox/tools > Web Developer) If you want to look at the file.

Use file > open the file in Notepad and click the print enough to format the text for easier inspection.

  • Open / convert .cwk drawing file into something else than Clarisworks

    Hello

I have a problem and can't seem to find a solution.

I have over 2000 + cards of Member (with images) stored in Clarisworks (.cwk) drawing files. Each file contains 10 cards of members with a photo that could be printed on paper card and laminate to make a membership card. so I have more than 200 of these drawing .cwk files.

I need to be able to open these .cwk files in another program or convert them to another program that is not interrupted so that I can entrust the task of taking every photo, cropping and at a savings. JPG file with the dimensions of the specific pixels.

I can't currently entrust this task as no one can open a .cwk file...

Does anyone know how to open these drawing .cwk files in another program or convert them?  I found ways to open documents to simple text but nothing that can open files of drawing .cwk with embedded images.

I also have access to an old Mac with the program of Clarisworks to open these files... Is it possible to convert it into a usable format more updated using this program?

    See you soon,.

    Duff

I have something to play with, but I can suggest that if you have a computer OS x can open AppleWorks, you probably can click on the picture, copy it and open preview and place n command to create a new file of the image in the Clipboard, and then save it in a file with the name of the person.

Preview will have the added benefit of saving to any size compatible format and file you want.

A good workflow would be to create an empty (white) image in the right size, the resolution format and file preview and paste it into that. You should get the handles on the image to be able to resize to the borders of files. And then do a record under. Organize a list of parallel text of the names of all card holders, so you can save typing (and errors) to copy and paste into the names of image files.

There may be other solutions you can think of that work better in practice once you have made a few.

  • a 16 bit saved TIFF file does not work in ImageJ

    Hello

I have a camera that records a 12-bit TIFF file.  When I have a saved TIFF file, it can be opened in ImageJ and all pixel values are preserved.  Also, if I display in Labview using IMAQ, it can be displayed properly and if I use ImageToArray, all values are correct too.  However, if I save it in a new file using written IMAQ 2 file, the saved file can be loaded in Labview with the correct pixel values, however, if I open this file saved in ImageJ, all the values are converted to 16 - bit wrongly.  For example, the value 62 (00111110) becomes 1000000000111110.  Apparently, the first figure when converted to 16-bit, it designates the first bit to 1 instead of 0.  I'm confused because the same saved when the image loaded into labview vi, the value is 62.

Is it possible to fix it?  Could this be a problem with ImageJ instead of labview? I joined the original file and save the file here.

    Greetings, Charles;

After looking at the attached screenshot, I have a question for you. Which is currently connected to the IMAQ Create for Source2? I guess it is an enumeration with I16 selected, correct?

The same thing happens if you use U16 times on LabVIEW and ImageJ, or any lower bit depth? Finally, if you save the image to a different file format, you get similar behavior?

    Best regards;

    Simon P.

I also have the latest player adobe downloaded on my computer and I have run Norton 360, which is to day saying my computer is free from any malicious dishes. Help, please!

    Hello ErikAtkinson,

You can try saving the PDF file on your desktop before trying to open it.
See if that helps with corruption problems.

If this isn't the case, then I suggest that you post in the forums Adobe for Adobe Reader. I have included a link below:

I accidentally deleted important information in a wordpad file. Any way to access the version of 2 days there in the home version of windows XP?

Assuming that you open the file in WordPad, made deletions and then have registered under the same name, there is no practical way to retrieve the previous version, unless you have created a backup (NOT a system restore point) until then.
