  I'm not on the same OS, but don't you have an option to preview in Firefox/Beta. You will need to disable the plugins PDF first.

  If you are able to see on the web pdf files ok I see no reason why it won't work on local files as long as you have the permissions to access the involved file path.

• When I select a photo to email in "my pictures" or Picasa, Thunderbird opens is no longer an empty email with the photo attached.

  I used to be able to select a photo in my images or Picasa, select size, select e-mail and an empty email open in Thunderbird with the attached photo. I wonder if there is a setting somewhere in Thunderbird that needs to be enabled.

  3. who is your provider of mail service?
  4. What is the accurate and complete error message you get?

  What is the attachment file extension? If you know what program should open with, just do the following.
   
  1. download and save the attachment to the office.
  2. right click on the saved file.
  3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
  4. click on: choose [default] program.
  5. Select: The appropriate program.
  6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
  7. click on OK.
   
  This should allow you to open these attachments directly from email address now.

Now my account sues IMAP servers "TWC" for mail entering and leaving. I also have what appears to be files duplicated in the sidebar to the mail for example app, I have a sent folder and a sent mail folder; even with junk and spam. I can't delete a file and have no idea how they differ. I tried deleting accounts and adding a new account, but I can not bypass the automatic detection and preserve characteristics even if I of delected as preferences.

  Is there a way to remedy this situation without reinstall OSX and start over?

  Thank you for visiting the forums of answers.microsoft.com.

  I did some research and a file ending with .odg is an OpenDocument Document OpenOffice/StarOffice (Ver 2) of graphics by Sun Microsystems, Inc.    This means that in order to open this file, you will need this program to open it.  You will not be able to open this file with Vista.
