Operating system compatibility still CS6 Adobe [Mac El Capitan]

Adobe Encore CS6 works OK with the last February 2016 El Capitan far?

Migration of Mac with Time Machine NOT WORK with Adobe program activations due to hidden folders are not included when Migration or Time Machine make their copies

You have to disable everything that you do not use your old Mac, and then perform a new installation on your new Mac

CS6 installing on a new Mac is VERY likely going to be a problem (it was for others, which is where I got the links below)

This information is a MUST to install old programs on Mac El Capitan

-You can't get the same error message, but here are some links that CAN help with old programs

Install CS5 on Mac 10.11 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003455 can help (also for others than CS5)

  • best operating system for Photoshop cs6

What is the best operating system for Photoshop cs6? Choose 32-bit or 64-bit? Windows 8 is compatible?

Photoshop works well on most systems and has problems on some systems - either Mac or PC.  It's not really work "better" on either.  This (great) selection of the platform must be based on other factors.

Note that Photoshop CS6 works in 64-bit Mac OSX.

If you work on large images, Photoshop can really use the address space of extra RAM that can provide a 64 bit OS.  If you are wanting to go with Windows and some hope scalability really probably want to consider variants of Windows x 64.

Windows 7 x 64 is mature and very functional.  Windows 8, not really after being released to the public yet, is fairly new to consider immediately (although I tested it carefully).  Display drivers may not be ready, plus a few things that you know and love has actually been removed (for example, the Start button).

Personally I suggest to go with Windows 7 x 64 for now - that's what I'm staying with - at least until the dust settles a little after the release of Windows 8.

Regarding the compatibility of the applications you have specific concerns?  Windows 7 x 64 works virtually any 32-bit application very well indeed.  It will not run 16-bit applications (for example, from 15 + years), but if you still absolutely need one of these there is the possibility of running virtual XP in Windows 7.

Depends on whether you want to replace OSX, dual boot with OSX, or run in a virtual environment.

Linux operating system isn't a BONE btw, is a generic name for all versions of Linux.

  • Mac with CS4 programs operating system compatibility

I have an imac 2009 8 running OS 10.6.8 with Creative Suite 4 installed. I can upgrade to El Capitan and there still be compatible with my Creative Suites? And I would be able to upgrade my Yosemite to El Capitan on my laptop (2010 macbook pro) runs the same programs?

Maybe, but maybe not... and Adobe is only updated of CURRENT programs to be compatible with the new OS (Mac and Windows)

CS6 and previous programs have not been tested and will not be updated to run on Mac El Capitan

-which means you are trying to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems

  • Guest operating system compatibility

    Dear team,

We have mix U1 ESX5.1 and ESXi5.5U2 environment. We are palnning to deploy Windows 2012 R2 on U1 ESXi5.1 host, I want just to cofirm will, I was able to migrate 2012 SMV of ESXi5.1U1 to ESXi5.5U2 I found that there are a few incompatibity with mixed version as shown below KB. I would also like to confirm that they said that this applies to 5.0.x and 5.1.x.

    KB 2033723.JPG

need your urgent help on the same.

    concerning

    Mr. VMwrae

Ko 2033723, the affected guest operating system is Windows Server 2012 (not R2) and hosts ESXi 5.0 Update 1 or ESXi 5.0 P03... then I think you should just avoid using this version of the build host, given that the VMware compatibility shows that Windows Server R2 2012 is compatible only with ESXi 5.0 Update 2 and later versions.

On the other KBs, make sure to read workaround, and everything will be OK.

  • When you run Fusion on a Mac, where a shared folder appears if the virtual operating system is another version of Mac OS?

I have a Mac under VMWare Fusion with "Snow Leopard Server" running as a virtual OS, invited.  The instructions say I can specify a shared folder to shared between the Mac OS and Mac OS virtual.

I've specified a folder, however, this folder is not matter where displayed on the virtual server. Maybe I have no idea where it should appear, then maybe that I'm in the right place.

Anyone know where I can find the shared folder in a version of the Mac OS running virtually in VMWare Fusion?

(There are instructions on where to find a shared folder for Windows and Linux, but none for where it should appear for a virtual machine running under Mac OS). Thanks for your suggestions, you can offer!

    Best wishes

    Jeff

Using VMware shared folders requires VMware Tools installed in the guest operating system, you have installed VMware Tools?

If so make sure that you have enabled in the settings of the Virtual Machine to the shared folders and have added a shared folder.

If this has been done should be a customer alias for shared folders of VMware desktop operating systems.

If there no client VMware Shared Folders alias on desktop operating systems then in a Terminal doesn't issue the following command to make sure the system and user VMware Tools Daemon to run.

PS to the | grep vmware

The output should display information for two instances of vmware-tools-daemon.

    kextstat | grep vmware

The output should list several extensions however is that associated with the VMware shared folders: com.vmware.kext.vmhgfs

Also search /Volumes VMware Shared Folders as is the mounting point on OS X for VMware shared folders.

  • A Portable hard drive operating system compatibility

I bought a Seagate Expansion Portable hard 3 TB drive and want to transfer the files on my old PC (which uses the operating system WIN XP) on my new PC (which uses the operating system WIN 7). When I connect the camera on my old PC, it is not displayed in "My Computer", but it can be seen under "sensor external hard drive... I followed the suggestion of Seagate to reformat the device in the MBR format but persists above. Is there a way I can connect to my old PC so that I can transfer the data via portable hard drive? Or is there a driver I can install to fix the problem?

    AA

Did you leave the 1 partition of 3 TB drive?  XP cannot 'see' as large partitions. It can 'see' up to 4 GB.  I would create a second partition 25% larger than the data on the XP machine by reducing the current partition and creating a new.

The best way to proceed is to use EaseUS partition magic (free)

  • Having major compatibility issues with Adobe, Mac Yosemite and Wacom Cintiq programs companion hybrid.

Since I upgraded my Mac iOS Yosemite, my Adobe CS6 programs do not work well at all. They start very well, but the menu windows acting weird, often forcing me by dint leave whenever I try to do something. I downloaded programs CC trials and some may work better for me, but most have similar problems when I try to use on the Wacom. I'll explain my setup, and exactly what is happening...

I own an iMac end 2012 model (the one without the cd player) and a Wacom Cintiq hybrid companion that I use as a secondary display design. The screen Wacom is under my iMac in the settings screen, since my Wacom rest below the iMac screen. Think Nintendo DS... like how the lower screen is touch screen... same deal here.

When I open Photoshop CS6, CS6 Illustrator or even Illustrator CC and move them on my Wacom screen, the 'new' window is aligned with the top of the screen, cutting off buttons and options I need. I can't reposition the window because the upper part is necessary to move it. In the case of the window 'opens', it does not at all appear, but it blocks my program. It is as if he wants me to cancel the open window, but the window is not on any screen. That's when I have to force quit. I also noticed that sometimes it seems you have a 3rd office every time I enter the mission control afterwards. I have no idea why this is so.

The only option that I know to get around these problems is to put my screen on the mirror and mirror of the iMac screen mode, but not only I have to go into settings and recalibrate my pen, whenever I want to use these programs, but it's a major drawback when I fight for space on my screen since I was only 1 working with this mode. And just to be clear that CC Photoshop works perfectly for me. No compatibility issues he Fortunately, but if it works well with my setup, then why don't the others. Worse yet, I don't know who is at fault... What is an Adobe problem, a problem of Yosemite or a problem of Wacom... I do not know.

Yosemite sometimes has problems, often related to the 'default' permissions that need to be changed

  • 5.0 operating system compatibility mode

    Hello

I have successfully used this property jad to install OTA with the original Storm 9500 on OS 4.7:

    RIM-TouchCompatibilityMode: false

However, it is not working touchscreen OS 5.0 devices.

My application is compiled with JDE 4.7.

If I download on a Storm II (5.0.0.334 - 9550), it will always be in compatibility mode, even with the property defined in the jad.

Also the 9500 on 5.0.0.252 does not behave as expected:

If I download an application compiled with JDE 4.2 it comes into compatibility mode.

But if I compile the same application against the JDE 4.7 it won't in compatibility mode.

I'm wiping the Simulator each between each test.

    Has anyone else seen elsewhere?

Or y at - it some new system that I must follow to ensure that my application will not start in compatibility mode for OS 5.0 devices?

    Thank you

    Hi Mark,

Finally, there is a problem in my download script where a code is compiled with the a previous JDE was included.

    Its solved now.

    Thanks for looking into it.

  • HP530: operating system reinstalled, still have problems with updates

Reinstalled Vista32 OS, on the advice of tech, to 'cure' MS update problems. Use recovery discs. (Recovery partition could not be installed for unknown reason) After reinstall MS update still has problems. Any help would be appreciated.

After the reinstallation, an update was successful, and then Update Agent failed to update. A number of updates failed (? 10?) and a number have succeeded. Then a small model, only 1.9 MB, Service Pack 1 installed, and then after that check Udates runs, it calls to reinstall Service Pack 1. Again and again and again.

    Thank you, volunteers.
