Operating system recovery discs repairs

I have an office of 180 t Pavilion with Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit, which does not allow me to upgrade to Sp1.  I ran several times of sfc/scannow, and every time I said I have corrupted files which can not be repaired.  Is there a way I can repair my installation of Windows 7 since the recovery discs?

You cannot repair your installation with the recovery discs.  You can create a Windows 7 repair disc on another computer which has Windows 7.  This tutorial shows you how to create such a floppy.  Read first before you do anything.

  • Replacement of the HARD disk on Equium A100-337 - installation of operating system recovery disc?

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A100 - 337 Vista Premium. Unfortunately, the HARD drive died in it and it is out of warranty.

I have the recovery CD and it have used before so know this works.

I intend to put in a HARD drive replacement, but looking around, I can get a much better deal on something like maxtor/WD/seagate.
It would be a problem for the recovery CD?

In addition, the original disk is 60 GB - but if possible, while I replace in any case, I like to put in a bigger. What worries me is if the recovery CD is for 60 GB image pre - and then the rest of a larger HARD drive would be just wasted space? (if indeed it would even work in the first place)

Someone else put in a brand/different size of HDD and used the successfully recovery CD? I have to admit not knowing much about how does the recovery process, pointers on that would be appreciated also.

    See you soon.

A different size will be fine. Not sure about the different makes it well, but as far as I know, as long as it has the same interface as the original HARD disk, and then you'll be fine.

A Yes, the recovery works on a more than 60 GB HARD drive.

    I hope this helps.

  • System Disk Image recovery and system recovery discs discs

    These terms are very confusing.

I had 3 HP computers to office over the past 15 years and have always comes to an ERD but my luck could escape and I'm going to need one of them.

However, I'm confused.  I thought that as HP comes with a drive D: original Image, it would be enough.

I make records of recovery or system disk Image?  Are they the same?  My HP Advisor on this computer again I do "system recovery discs!

I would really like someone explain (in novice language) which mean the above and what I need to do?

I appreciate so much people in the help forums, as I learned more from them than books I have.

    Twinkie3

    Twinkie3

Hello Twinkie3, I suggest making the game to restore HP Recovery disks.  Even if you have the recovery restore D: hard disk partition, it may be damaged or if the hard drive fails and needs to be replaced, you would not be able to access the recovery partition.

If you have to replace the hard drive, you can only insert disc 1 of the the recovery set and put the system back as it was when shipped. Without these records, you would need to try to acquire at HP for a cost to you, and after a while, they are not available.

The set of recovery disks cannot be done once and only be used to restore your particular system.

Normally, it takes 3 DVD discs but can take longer depending on the size of the restore partition.

The HP advisor don't constantly remind important you to these disk since it's a step in maintaining your system over time.

  • G20-114: Re-install operating system recovery disks

I have a 114 G20 with two drives hard sata 100 GB and recently reinstalled my operating system. The way I put in place, it is that I have XP MCE and all programs on a drive (drive C) and all my documents and given the other drive (drive D).

Reasonably enough is for that if I need to re - install the OS I can keep my data on my D drive and reformat and recover on the C drive. However, in practice I couldn't do this job.

To use my data while reformatting, I had removed the D drive and plugged into another PC. Try now that you want recovery disks would not begin their process with a single disk in the machine. The recovery work that once I had replaced the second disc in the machine.

In addition, once begun, she insisted on the restructuring of the two drives before reloading the OS, despite me setting the raid option to two independent hard drives. Fortunately, my natural recovery disks distrust had caused me back up my drive D on an external drive, so I do not lose anything, but I would prefer not to have to do it again if I ever re - install Windows from scratch, as it seems to defeat point of two drives and keep the applications and separate data.

I'm guessing that it is something else, that I was wrong or that it is necessary to have both drives up something to do with the process requirements raid as part of the recovery.

So someone could tell me if it is possible to perform a recovery with a single disk in-situ, or without recovery wiping both discs and if so, how.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Well, I think that it s because of the RAID drivers on the Toshiba Recovery CD. This CD is designed for use with two hard drives.
If you want to use the Toshiba Recovery CD so that the two HARD drive must be placed in the unit.

    Help

It depends what you mean by "Fancy HP Software"... pilots and most, if not all, of the software included with the computer can find on your HP recovery disks. Just insert disk #1 and look in the folder "HP". You should find a driver and an application folder inside. There are records of installation and/or files contained there and you should be able to run the 'setup.exe' for each application or driver.

Anything else you might want will require using the HP recovery discs to reinstall the factory operating system and all software. Yes, I understand that you cannot complete the installation and it is probably due to your new HARD drive is a 'Advanced Format' disc that came out after Windows Vista was released. With the help of a non - drive AF will solve your problem. You can also install a newer SATA storage controller driver allows to cure the issue. Try searching on the net for the accurate OFT of the messages received.

  • Create a system recovery disc?

    Hello

My girlfriend just got a Probook new 6460 b (what she ordered to hp.com) with Win7 Pro and she wants to create a system for her recovery disk.  We have been able to make a 'system' repair disc, we found it under start > Maintenance, but I am sure that this is not a complete system recovery disk.  I found the following link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01895783 . But his computer does not appear to have installed the HP Recovery Manager.  She also received no recovery discs.

How can we get the recovery disc for this computer?

    Thank you!

None of the professional laptop computers come with a recovery CD set more

Anyway, if you live in the United States or the Canada, here's how to get a set of restore for your PC disks:

    1. Enter the reference number and the serial no on the underside of the computer on the tag.

    2. call HP at 1-800-952-7689, option 1 (ranking in the list in the option made restore disks).

    3. provide the information asked by the representative who answers the phone.

    4. do you have a Master Card or Visa ready for purchase. They do not take discover. I believe that you will be charged $10.00.

You will receive the discs by first class mail, or you can pay an additional $10.00 for shipping FedEx.

Alternatively, you should be able to Access Manager (dvds aren't needed) recovery with a F11 key at startup

To do this, just restart it, to the hp bios screen, press f11 and select recovery
