  Everyone has problems running DreamWeaver (I have CS4) or PhotoShop Elements 7 on the new OS of Windows 10?

  I do not know whether or how well former products will perform in Win10.  CS4 is too old to be eligible for updates now.  But my guess is that if it ran OK on Win 8.1, it could work with Win10.  My advice is to run the compatibility checker. Or Win10 to test on a 2nd machine.

  Are you running 64-bit or 32-bit. I've heard some people get parts to run in XP mode, but some parts do not specifically work in 64-bit Windows 8.

• AE CS4 9.0.2 crash on any file operation or to quit smoking...

  I have the demo AE CS4 installed [install base - no additional plugins or scripts]. No script no anchored Panel.

  It worked fine the first two uses. Now, it crashes if I try to stop, import a file, save a file, change/save preferences. I uninstalled all using the uninstall program. Re-installed. I updated with version 9.0.1 and then updated with the version 9.0.2 with no change in behavior. I left two days demo. Our company was ordered as a result of the Production, but it didn't happen. Now, I'm on the spot, justifying an expense for an expensive app that won't run.

  Installed Perian and Flip4Mac (but AE worked when they were installed)

  From your description, looks that AE is not able to write to the disk. Have you tried repairing permissions with Mac OS disk utility?

  Before embarking on a major update of the OS, it would be wise, judicious and careful if you have a good one, the backup job from your current system to a connected external and Mac to format key USB connected external OR USB, Thunderbolt or FireWire 800, Mac formatted hard drive. Then use either app of your Mac OS X Time Machine to back up your system on the external drive OR buy, install, and use a soft, like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper, cloning of data to make an exact copy and updates (clone) of the hard drive internal all. This step is really necessary in case something goes wrong with the installation of the new operating system or just you dislike the new operating system, you have a very easy way / procedure to return your Mac to its former State.

  Then, determine if your Mac meets all THE minimum installation requirements.

• Adobe CS4 Illustrator freezes in OS 10.11.6 El Capitan?

  I am using OS 10.11.6 El Capitan and when I start a file in Illustrator CS4 file shows, but all the Illustrator application is frozen. Can't even move the window. So I have to exit the application. This has happened when I upgraded from the previous operating system. I trashed the Illustrator preference (.plist). It made no difference. I trashed the Adobe font cache. It made no difference. Anyone had this happen? And if so, is there a work around?

  More that likely Illustrator CS4 is not compatible with El Capitan and you will need to upgrade to a version that is.

  The short answer, I think, it's 'no'... the GPU is integrated on the motherboard.  Sometimes I know what my Go5700 NVIDIA (same zd7000) fried itself a few years ago, and now I am trying to find a replacement motherboard.  There are other options of motherboard using other GPU (especially from NVIDIA, but also that of ATI), but I understand, none of them are supposed to be as good as the Go5700.

  I installed what I thought was 64 bit Adobe CS4 production Premium in a XP Professional 64 bit operating system. However they are all loading in the subdirectory 'program file (x 86)' I understand, is for programs 32 bit. Only the Photoshop version 11 load in folder "program" I understand is 64-bit programs. What should I do here. Eveything 32 bit accept Photoshop V11?
