ORA-01103 - restoration of database for the new name.
Hi, I am looking to restore a database from a backup to cold. RMAN is not, it is just a backup of operating system level.The technical details are
Windows 2003
Oracle 11.1
What has happened is - I upgraded our database of development of 11.1, 11.2 and we discovered a bug, so I want to restore the database in the instance of 11.1. Version 11.2 of the database is running, people use, we have a work around, so I can't delete this database. What I want to do is create a new instance to 11.1 restore all files/etc/files of control data, the file of configuration settings and start the database, of course I had to use another name.
However, the problem I see is
ORA-01103: name of the 'ALPHA' database in the control file is not "ALPHADB". ALPHADB is the new database. I thought to do the backup to retrace and recreate control files, but I can't mount the database. I did "backup to trace" on the OLD database.
Advice please?
Re-create the control file using the set database_name database

downloading a file, rename it to php and returns the new name of Flex
Hello!
I download a file in Flex, but I want to rename the file in php.
However, I need flex for the new name of this file.
I thought I could echo this string to use in the event of upload.complete, but the goal comes with the real/old file name.
How can I get the file renamed?
It's my php:
<? PHP
$file = $_FILES ['Filedata'];
$tempFile = $file ["tmp_name"];
$fileName = $file ['name'];
$autoRename = SDAKJHASD.jpgIf ($file ['error'] is UPLOAD_ERR_OK)
{
move_uploaded_file ($tempFile, ".") / files / "." $autoRename);
echo $autoRename; <- HOW TO RETRIEVE THIS STRING IN FLEX?
...
...
? >Thank you!!!
CONSTRUCTION ~Notice the 'data' part listed there. Your function would seek to event.data for example. You can send gross return strings, xml, or anything you want.

Hello
I'm trying to upgrade from my son's laptop computer and want to replace the current drive with a much larger.
It is running Vista Home premium Edition (32 bit) and he lost his records came with the laptop: I can do? I bought Windows 7 Upgrade and a disk hard sata 500 GB, but I need to get Vista on the new drive before Windows 7 readers.
I backed up the data using Windows Easy Transfer for issue restores the operating system.
Please note that this is a laptop, I can only have a hard drive up both and I don't know how to get the operating system to the new blank disc? I can create a recovery on a DVD disc / C or something Vista or a 3rd party utility?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Contact the manufacturer to see if you have a recovery Partition and if it can create recovery discs. If so, create the recovery disks and you will be able to use them to restore the system to factory conditions once you have installed the new drive (but you may need to install the new Vista compatible drivers for the new drive as the recovery disks can have only those for the old disk). Otherwise, contact the manufacturer and get a set of recovery (at a modest price) discs and use them to restore the system to the conditions of the plant on the new drive. When we talk to them, confirm that their recovery process allows you to install new drivers for the new drive hard during the process and exactly how do (or it doesn't work - so be sure to check it out). We cannot help you with recovery of the manufacturer process as it their not Microsoft.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

[HELP] Problem with the restoration and recovery in the new host
Hi, guys!
I have tried for two days, but still can't make it work.
I took a hot (online) full backup archive as well as the control file logs with the SPFILE and then copy the backup to the new host with the same directory structure and parameters. Finally, I tried to restore and recover the database on the new host, but failed during the restore process.
The original host and the new host have the same subject Oracle installed until the patch level. I couldn't understand the solution to this problem based on my knowledge on Oracle DB.
Could someone help me out here? Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
JayIn short, the RCS of the controlfile will be generally higher than corresponding SCN of the data in the event of hot backup (online) file; However, the two SNA will be the same in the case of cold (off-line) backup. Am I entitled?
Yes, it's true. In a backup cold (assuming that the CLOSURE was not a SURRENDER but was NORMAL, TRANSACTIONAL, or IMMEDIATE) all files in the database (data files, redo log and controlfiles files) are 'compatible' - at the same point in time, to the same SCN. In a hot backup, the files are updated. RMAN is not necessarily take all the data files at the same time - for example when you have several data files, RMAN would backup the files in batches of 4 or 8 - data files are therefore controlled at different points in time. Similarly, the controlfile is saved last.

Create the backup of the database on the new server to RMAN
I have a 1 - existing node RAC running 10gr 2 on Windows 2003. I am trying to create a backup of database on a new server running Windows 2008 and Oracle 10 g 2. Because the database uses ASM, I can't just copy data files. I did a full backup with RMAN and copy these files to the new server. I installed Oracle, but no database. I have put in place on the new box ASM.
Can someone tell me how to use the RMAN backup to set up a backup of database on the new server? The production server is still in place and running, but we are trying to get a server backup and procedures for the use of a filler RMAN restore in the case of a scenario of recovery after disaster.
PS. We use Standard edition, so Dataguard is out of the question. It would be nice, but the price is a little high.1 instance startup NOMOUNT.

hp support assistant for the new version update is not installed
HP Pavilion Slimline s5306ukP; Monitor LCD 20-inch HP 2010
My problem is that I recently had a HP Support Assistant alert to download the new HP Support Assistant for the latest features.
Well I tried to download the update, but it would not install? I'll go through the events on the screen and maybe you can inform me as to why this update for the new Assistant support will not correctly installed, thank you. Everything goes up to 4. Then it will skip "Download updates" and go on 5 /, but nothing happens?
Point adjustment 1/restore... pass; 2 disk space / audit... pass. 3 / connecting to HP services for new updates and alerts... pass. 4 / download updates... N/a; 5 / install/apply the selected items... no?
Should I have to uninstall the version that I already have the update through and re - install a new Version, or you have any patch that can be applied to make this update installs successfully?
I have Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.
Hi DP - K,.
I tried again since my last email with the problem where I couldn't find the program once it is downloaded, and alongside the race/Save little was downloaded files. I clicked on it and watched the sp54931.ex download in a folder "view and track downloads. I then told run this and asked that my administrative password. I thought here goes while I'm waiting for a response from you, nothing to lose to new and low and here is the update for the new Version HP Support Assistant downloaded correctly. Since then, I had a glance in the desktop program and there is no warning, everything is up-to-date.
If all is well now and I can't thank you enough for all your help to try to solve this problem for me. You are the experts, and I was just lucky. I sincerely thank you.
Best regards

I'm creating an application that uses the authentication of the APEX and characteristics (work) registration and forgot password forms (does not work).
My I forgot the password is public (requires authentication). The user provides the user name and a secret answer, which are validated and then provides the new password. I try to use htmldb_util.reset_pw to reset the password of the user, but it does not work.
I have a process on the new password page call a PL/SQL anonymous block that looks like this (see below), where username = P16_ITEM1 and P18_ITEM1 = new password.
BEGIN
apex_040000.htmldb_util.reset_pw (V ('P16_ITEM1'), V ('P18_ITEM1'));
END;
I don't know how to send a message of success/failure of such PL/SQL block to the APEX, but that's a separate issue, I guess.
In any case, during the trial through SQL Developer as the user with APEX_ADMINISTRATOR_ROLE, I get the following error:
ORA-20001: unauthorized access (package for the undefined security group variable).
ORA-06512: at "APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_FND_USER_API", line 22
ORA-06512: at "APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_FND_USER_API", line 1220
ORA-06512: at "APEX_040000.HTMLDB_UTIL", line 1253
ORA-06512: at line 8 level
I've searched previous discussions and tried different suggestions with no luck.
I'm on Oracle DB 11g XE and APEX 4.x.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

When executing code outside the Apex which depends on the security defined Apex group, perform the following steps before your own code:
wwv_flow_api.set_security_group_id(apex_util.find_security_group_id('YOUR_SCHEMA_NAME'));
Google "wwv_flow_api.set_security_group_id" for more details, like this blog:

Share the magic trackpad for the new Magic Trackpad 2?
I can negotiate the magic trackpad for the new Magic Trackpad 2?
Apple does not trade for these items. Your best option is to sell (on Amazon or eBay, for example) and then buy a new one. Ask yourself the question that Apple want to do with your old trackpad.
Two other things, your iMac does not run iOS 9.3.3; your profile must be updated. And if you are running an operating system that you are weaker than El Capitan, the new Magic Trackpad 2 may not work fully.

How can I change the default zoom for the new tab only?
The new tab in Firefox 33 zoom is too high to see all 12 of my thumb nail. I changed it using ctrl - but the next time I opened a new tab, the zoom is 100%. How can I change the default zoom for the new tab only?
I posted a style rule to shrink the tiles, which allows several of them on the page, but naturally reduces their legibility. You can experiment with the dimensions to find a look that works for you.
https://userstyles.org/styles/106326/shrink-new-tab-thumbnails
I use the Stylish extension to experiment because of its preview function that allows me to see the effect quickly. You can install it from the site of modules, then after restart of Firefox while searching for his "S" icon in the toolbar to manage Styles so you can edit and experiment.

How can I manually change the images used for the new tab Page?
I turned off so the images are not cached for the new tab Page history and be reloaded Firefox is restarted. In addition, some of the sites I've pinned use HTTPS and do not allow their images to be cached.
Is it possible for me to put a custom image for each pinned site? A custom screenshot that is not in the cache or an icon to be any? Anything would be better than a box empty here.
Thank you
You can use the following extension to customize the image displayed for the tiles pinned, among other things.
