Oracle 11g save the BC4J password in the database?

In 10g, Oracle stores the password in the database encrypted in bc4j.xcfg.

However, 11 g, it seems that Oracle is not saving the password in any file (I checked connections.xml and bc4j.xcfg). Oracle records db password in database system?

I ask this question because we are going to deploy a Java ADF program on the production that I don't have access. I wonder if I need JDeveloper for access to the production environment to configure the credentials for the connection to BC4J in the database server.

Hi huaichen

Documentation "15.3.2 Packaging credentials with the Application.
at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/core.1111/e10043/devmancfg.htm#JISEC2949
says "the credentials of the applicationare defined in a file that must be named cwallet.sso. ..."

Thus, looking for documentation for "cwallet.sso" might help.

  • Master of Certifieed of Oracle 11g of the prerequisites

    Hi all

Can I know that outside hands on courses and OCP requiement, is "3-4 years of experience" mandatory or nice to have do appear/CMO for 11 g

I found a PDF "D61731GC10" file in the location

    http://education.Oracle.com/pls/web_prod-PLQ-dad/view_pdf?c_org_id=28 & c_lang = US & C_ID = D61731GC10

Below the 3 sections are related to the prerequisites. I'm just confused to determine if 3-4 years experience is required or is nice to have. Can someone please help?

    Section 1:

    REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION:

It is strongly recommended that participants have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an Oracle database administrator.

More typical of the qualified candidate would be 5 years or more.

    Section 2:

Before register you for 11 g COM, candidates must:

-Complete the CERTIFICATION PREREQUISITE - Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional (OCP).

-2 full prices advanced or specialized to satisfy the requirements of the hands on course.

-Acquire practical expertise with all the objectives of the review.

-Be comfortable with Linux basic command language.

    Section 3:

    Prerequisites

-Complete the CERTIFICATION PREREQUISITE - Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional (OCP)

-2 full prices advanced or specialized to satisfy the requirements of the hands on course.

-All candidates must have their ID to test Oracle 9 characters to start the review of the CMO.

-Candidates should have a minimum of 3-4 years of database administrator Oracle of experience.

    Thank you.

Just to confirm - the experience is not a requirement that we check (such as training and examinations). However, it would be very difficult to pass the exam without 3-4 years of experience.

Here: [features enabled by disk group attribute compatibility settings | http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10500/asmdiskgrps.htm#CHDBCHIH] there is a table with what is or is not possible to use depending on your configuration.

The main advantage is that a single instance of the ASM will be able to support different customer RDBMS and the main disadvantage is that not all ASM new feautures will be supported for disk groups that are defined for reduce the compatibility properties.

    It will be useful,

I want to create a database that will allow me to download files from drawing updated and provide a description and a download link so that my clients can download them.  I have worked with databases, but am not really a teacher to him. Can it be done in Dreamweaver? Yes.

Dreamweaver will do all the coding for you? N °

What you want to do is not particularly difficult, but this requires the knowledge of PHP and MySQL. Dreamweaver extensions sold by WebAssist to might be able to automate the process for you, but I've never used them, so can't make no specific recommendations.

Oracle wants certainly but with a higher cost. You must enable the audit (DB, extended) for it and Oracle then saves the information in SYS. AUD $ table.

Otherwise, as colleagues have done for you, you can query V$ SQL, V$ SQLAREA (aggregate of V$ SQL) and if you have CWA (Diagnostic pack) license, you can consult the history tables.

I think that you have 64-bit system. Please confirm with your supplier. If you're on 64 bit you can use 11 GR 2 but if you're on 32-bit, you can use only 10 gr 2

  • Configuration of RMAN in anticipation of the database

    Hi all

We have to configure RMAN in stanby Server database, so please give some advice.

Database server: Oracle 10 g RAC with 2 nodes
    Backup server: Oracle 10g
    Platform: RHEL-4

    Thank you

    Achyot

    Hello
It is true that for physical standby Robert says. If you use the suspend logic, the backup is not identical to the primary database.
In addition, you said that the wait is in read-only mode. If it is physical in the version prior to 11g, when the database is read-only, it is not get synchronized with the primary, she can apply archives only when mounted.
Anyway, you can use RMAN to back up the database pending.

  • Backup of the database of the eve

I backup my primary database (11.2.0.3) every night with RMAN - no problem. I also have a database of pending. Should I be back up the standby database too?

If I should be back up, it causes a problem, save the database in the RMAN catalog? Even if the db_unique_name is different, it always has the same DBID.

    Thank you

    Hello

the backup database is an identical copy of the primary database block.
Therefore, simply to save one of the two (you can choose to only save the day before, however, if you want to load on the primary leigthen). But if you are uncomfortable with the primary backup, it is not necessary for the safeguarding of the day before. (Since you can recreate the primary backup before).

The only important part, is that you use the RMAN catalog. Then only known RMAN, the two are identical and can use the same backup.

    So:
    a.) primary backup is enough
    (b) If you save both, there will be no problem in the RMAN catalog, because RMAN knows that it is the same database.
