Oracle does not
Hello
I'm working on a strange problem. I select a table and oracle does not, simply nothing, no errors, nothing, seems, the customer is waiting for data.
After I put the arraysize / fetchsize to 10 works fine, slow but it works.
After that, I tried to select a table with multiple columns (more than 100) and oracle does not again. I put the arraysize / fetchsize to 1 and after that, he worked for, the great ' table.
I don't know what the problem is. If I connected directly to the machine and run my query 'local', everything works well. But the network seems fine, (AMT) ping works.
It's maybe a problem with the listener configuration.
Someone had a similar problem, or an idea to solve the problem?
Kind regards
André
We found the problem. It wasn't a problem to oracle. A firewall/router cisco magic that happened in our network. After the guys admin reconfigured it, each reflection works very well.

OWM said "the directory <; OH >; / owm/portfolios/oracle ' does not exist
Hello, RHEL 6, x 86-64
Oracle 11.2.0.4 Ent Edition
I installed the database from 11.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.4. User reports ' ORA-28365: portfolio is not open "while trying to access the tables in a schema of some.
I have little experience with Wallet, so I did know that I can "open" the wallet using OWM. I start OWM and follow the instructions in the section 9.4.3 http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/network.111/b28530/asowalet.htm#i1006711, and after step 2 which is to select a directory for the wallet, he tells me, ' "the directory < OH > / owm/portfolios/oracle"does not exist".". " Ahh! (By the way, it was when I was stressed the House ORIGINAL Oracle (11.2.0.3) because I wanted to see if the portfolio existed there.
Now, I'm panicked moderately. I try next? I have to open the wallet!
Thank you in advance for taking the time.
Humbly,
I had neglected to copy the 11.2.0.3 sqlnet.ora House. After moving only and the connection automatic as well as encryption of wallet files, everything was suddenly fine.
Thank you for taking the time to help me!
Appreciated!

If I understand you correctly, this is not true: you can create storage with different blocks and create objects in their breast.

Oracle does not allow several key primary why...?
Hi gurus,
Why oracle does not allow for multiple primary keys in a table...
Although people said not null unique primary key = + (it is possible for the other columns when creating)
Instead, oracle can define multiple primary keys... right...
CANY comments please or any specific reasons please
Thank you
PrasanthIt is called composite primary key. Primary key is one, but which consists of the combination of several columns. The AskTom link will show you why the primary key is not equal to NULL UK + OT.

Oracle does not sort the records
Hello everyone
When I select two date columns and sort as two columns below
Here the date1 is sorting correctly but should apply the date2 date1 sort right? but it does not work...select date1,date2 from table order by date1,date2
my output is
WHY this is happening... ?12-nov-2010 25-nov_2010 12-nov_2010 15-nov-2010
version of the client is oracle 8i
version of the server is oracle 9i
pls help
SOK, so Oracle is perfectly order per your request: order by date1, date2.
I suspect, however, that what you want is: order of trunc (date1), trunc (date2) or maybe just trunc (date1), date2.

Cards Oracle does not work inside a table cell?
Hi all
I've been using Oracle cards without a table, but now I need to put the screen (& lt; div & gt ;) within a cell of table for organization purposes. I noticed that it is not simply a map if I put it here.
It works and displays the map:
It does not display the map (the table and div are there, but no map is displayed):<body onLoad="loadMainMap()"> <div id="map_div" style="left:0px; top:0px; width:100%; height:100%; border:2px solid"></div> </body>
I'm doing something wrong?<body onLoad="loadMainMap()"> <table> <tr> <td> <div id="map_div" style="left:0px; top:0px; width:100%; height:100%; border:2px solid"></div> </td> </tr> </table> </body>
Thanks in advance,
~ Ruben JorgeThe table does not have its specified size, its size is determined by its cells. The cell does not have the specified size, and its size is determined by its content, the map DIV DIV. size plan is 100%, 100%, which is proportional to the size of the table cell, which does not have a size. Thus, the browser guess its size is 0px, 0px.
To resolve this problem, you must specify the size of the table (relative or absolute), or the absolute size of the div. of card
< div id = "map_div" style = "left: 0px;" Top: 0px; Width: 100%; height: 100%; border: 2px solid "> < / div >"

Lov POPUP Oracle does not appear in Internet Explorer (since APEX 5 upgrade)
The Lov POPUP does not work in Internet Explorer since the upgrade to 5 APEX.
I noticed inspecting the modal window that has the css for HTML, the hidden visibility value.
I can manually turn off what it works as expected. I tried to put CSS in the page 0 to force the visibility, but it doesn't seem to work because I think the modal charges in a separate instance, away from the clutches of page 0 .
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Looks like it was down to styling questions... using the standard theme is ok, so ill just have to work out what went wrong... Thanks for the reply.

Oracle does not try to run the scheduled job
Hi experts,
We have a scheduled task that runs a procedure every 15 minutes... the procedure is written so that it retrieve data in a cursor in the remote location and insert it into a table server...
It was working fine, but at 6:00 in the morning the link is disconnected from the remote site (as it it connected through lease line and RF) then oracle has not tried to perform the work, and when I see tasks it shows that work always running from 06:00 morning...
I have check all views, dba_jobs, dba_scheduler_jobs, but in no view or a table, it is shown broken... anyway now I recreated and it works well.
but I would like to know how to force oracle to re-run performance if it is not run on a specified due to connection failure? I read in the documentation of oracle running oracle work try if it is not performed after 1 min, 2 min, 4 min and so on for 16 times, then declare it as broken...
and I also saw column "retry schedule" in dba_scheduler_jobs...
Can someone tell me how to plan this new attempt explicitly?
Thanks and greetings
VDVikrant,
Not going to publish a solution, but would advice to take your question to the forum of the annex. I'm sure someone would be able to give the answer.

SGA, PGA is greater than the memory and oracle does not work
Hello
Wrongly, I put the following:
ALTER system SET sga_max_size = 1500M scope = spfile;
ALTER system SET SGA_TARGET = 1400M scope = spfile;
ALTER SYSTEM SET PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET = 9000M scope = spfile;
My total memory is 16 GB, Win8
When I rebooted the oracle, he could not start and I m sure 100% that these sizes of memory are the problem.
Now, I can not connect to the DB set these sizes of memory.
How can I change the SGA, PGA, while the entire oracle is down? It is not only the DB instance that is nt working. It s the entire oracle.
Is it possible to change the spfile from a text editor?
I d appreciate your quick responses.
Kind regards

Vidar, great recommendation. There are cases where the spfile directly change can cause problems. If you happen who meet and the spfile is not usable, you can also create a new pfile of content in the journal of the alerts, start the instance by using the new file pfile, then make a copy of the pfile to the spfile. Here are the basic steps if the spfile is corrupted and you need to create a new:
(1) find the alerts log, copy the lines below the comment "parameters of the system with default values:" in a new file called
init .ora and save the file in the directory by default (dbs or database) file. (2) make sure that the bad spfile is not in the directory of the file/start setting and start the Oracle
service & the instance should now be available. If you are not able to connect as "/" try to use sys / as sysdba (3) create a copy of the spfile
init .ora file: sql > create spfile from pfile; -You can specify the directories, or leave the default value. (4) return & validate the parameters according to the directives of our discussion earlier.
Hussien, I hope this helps.

Net Oracle does not read the tnsnames.ora file.
I am running 11.2.0.3 on Solaris 10 SPARC x 64. I'm trying to configure oracle net for a new database on hold in order to be able to use rman duplicate to create. LDAP is what we mainly use for all of our connections and, possibly, what I could use very well for my goal of rman duplication. But, I fear that I do nothing seems to allow me to read the tnsnames.ora file.
My SQLNET. ORA file is as follows:
NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (LDAP, TNSNAMES)
NAMES. DEFAULT_DOMAIN = mydomain.com
My TNSNAMES file. ORA file is as follows on both servers:
WLDB_HERE =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = primary_server) (PORT = 1521))
)
(CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = wldb_here.mydomain.com))
)
WLDB_THERE =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = standby_server) (PORT = 1521))
)
(CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = wldb_there.mydomain.com))
)I have a static entry in the remote listener.ora file so I can connect to create the instance:
SID_LIST_LISTENER =
(SID_LIST =
(SID_DESC =
(GLOBAL_DBNAME = wldb_there.mydomain.com)
(ORACLE_HOME = / u01/app/oracle/product/OraHome112)
(SID_NAME = WJZI)
)
)
LISTENER =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = standby_server) (PORT = 1521))
)Permissions on my .ora files in $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin are
-rw - r - r - 1 oracle dba
The user that I am connected to who is oracle.
I have set up several times before, but for some reason that I can't get this to work. I get
AMT-03505: failed to resolve host
Of
tnsping wldb_there
or
tnsping wldb_here
I have not tried to take the LDAP Protocol on my sqlnet.ora because I need, but I really want to know if anyone has had an experience like this before.
Thank you-

Hello
Please disable the subscription of the listener to TNS 10 g for the Oracle of Notification Service (ONS) by adding the following parameter in the listener.ora
SUBSCRIBE_FOR_NODE_DOWN_EVENT_
= OFF Then start the listener. This could probably solve your problem.
Thank you!!

SagarHi Sam,
OS is Windows7, so I think it must be the problem with the file of the Java virtual machine. Navigate to the following location:
C:\Program Files (x 86) \Oracle\JInitiator 1.3.1.30\bin\hotspot
Replace the file FMV of 805KB size with a FMV of larger file (say 2, 280KO).This should work... Let me know if it worked or not.

Payroll Oracle does not the laid off employee in the future dated date.
Dear guy
In fact we run payroll on 25, but some of the employee, ending dated forward like etc. 28 or 30.
While the termination we have entry date of final treatment which is the date of the end of this month, but now the problem, it is this system is not remunerated by process 26 Date of words, however the system should give salary pro-rated for this employee.
However, oracle is recommended, if you enter date final treatment on the window of the termination, system will process the payroll of this date.
Kindly can inform you about this.
Thanks in advance.Make sure that the following configuration is carried out.
1 pay is set to 'Process' for the State of the assignment to terminate which is used. (Working structures > status).
2. proration is enabled for all items for which termination rule is the real value of termination / latter process Standard. Otherwise, when payroll is run, it covers only the entries of which were active in the period end Date.
