  Try to re-create the hosts file.

  Open Notepad as administrator (click right on the Notepad icon or shortcut and click Run as admin) and type the following information in it:

  127.0.0.1 localhost

  : 1 localhost

  The '1' in the '127.0.0.1' must be in the first column of the line and there must be at least one space between "127.0.0.1" and "localhost". In the second line, there must be at least one space between ": 1" and "localhost".

  Save the file with name "hosts" in the C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc folder.

  You seem to have a hard drive problem. Please provide a copy of your system information file. Type the system information in the search box above the Start button and press the ENTER key (alternative is select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, system information).   My wife's computer keeps giving this error message when it tries to open all links in the emails. I tried everything I can think of without success. I even tried to re - install Windows 7, but the disc does an upgrade or a NEW installation so I can't FIX the o/s.

  I finally solved it.

  The problem is that for some reason Google Chrome had corrupted, result links via Chrome (default program) do not. We reinstalled Chrome and it now works fine.

• Can I delete the local data store on esx 3.5?

  I have a client with vmware ESX 3.5 no esxi

  They have a local data store but it is formatted with a block size of 1 MB, so I can put only a 256 GB VM out there and I need to put a test VM with a larger size.

  I know that in ESXi 4 you can simply delete the local data store and create a new, but I'm not familiar with ESX 3.5, are there hidden files on the data store that the server uses?  If I search for the store there's nothing in there.

  I finally managed to include the large data file in library projects.

  I have divided the data file in 2 separate files and then each file added to library projects.

  Each project the library has about 4 MB of the data file.

  So I have to install 3 .cod files.

  But in any case, it works fine. And I think that there will not be any problem because I use library projects only the first time.

  Please check section of applications that the built-in apps still exists or not. This will clear if the built-in apps are only missing the start screen or permanently missing. If you find them, re-PIN. If you can't find them, Refresh and they all will be back over your app so lost data file.

  I want to enlarge the data store, I don't have enough free space to create multiple virtual machines.
