• Captivate 6 fail to export the project captions and subtitles

  Hello.

  I am using Captivate 6.1.0.319 on Windows 7.

  I have audio on my slides and captioning is selected on each slide, but when I export (file > > export > > project captions and subtitles), none of the text closed captioning is in the Word document.

  Most of the legends project appear, but not all of them.

  I've already renamed my preferences to OLD file to force the preferences to refresh.

  Any other suggestions?

  This seems to be a problem with corruption of files.

  The I'm working today with a particular file was initially created in Captivate 4.

  I opened another project that I created charges last month, and he has no problem with the export of legends; It works exactly as expected.

  It's the only one. It shows you how to load the stream and the top-level DOM object. You should be good to go from there. It supports the RSS and Atom media such as iTunes and MediaRSS extension tags.

• Questions about titles and subtitles

  I'm still not even clear on the terminology. Imagine a video with a chassis that features a picture of Mt. Rainier, accompanied by an audio file that says "Mt. Rainier is the highest mountain in Washington." If I add another graph with the words Mt. Rainier is the highest mountain in Washington, who would be an example of a subtitle or subtitles?

  I read articles that say adding text considerably improves the videos, but it's a major pain in the lacrosse. So I was wondering, it might be just as effective create just a simple text file that includes the story and link to it.

  Otherwise, the only ways to add text that I am aware of is to type the text in an editor (e.g. Dreamweaver) and save it as an image or use one of the features of Google. I tried the features of Google but I could not style my text, which was very small and difficult to read.

  In short, can someone offer some guidelines? How important is text and what are some recommended strategies to integrate into a video or a link to a separate transcript?

  Subtitles are when the text is engraved in the video file, or when they are added to a Blu - ray authoring program.  They contain generally the words we hear spoken.

  Captioning is quite something else.  I'm sure that there are resources on the web that could explain the details.

  Text on the screen that cannot be disabled SUCKS for the Viewer.  Just don't do it.

  When inspecting requests via a proxy and the player strobe asks my SMIL file, the following request is a request to the current domain (as if the base doesn't have any importance to OSMF).

  My understanding is that OSMF will use the base for any relative URL, when this is clearly not the case for me.

  Has anyone encountered these types of errors before?

  Absolute URL should work with progressive flv.

  We note, however: try to not use the tag to active single bitrate, the plugin creates a dynamic resource continuous not to mention that it is only a video.

• BDP-S380 and subtitles DVD

  I recently bought a Blu - Ray Sony BDP-S380 player and cannot for the life of me how to so he can show me subtitles for just sections of foreign language of DVD movies.

  The option of subtitles can be sellected under display of BD/DVD settings. The language of the subtitles is available when multilingual subtitles are recorded on BDROMs/DVD videos.
  Refer to page 18 of the manual of operations for more information.

  If it goes to the timeline, you are linking to the timeline.

  Here's the option 'specify the link' where you select a button in a menu itself, not a timeline.

  The timeline panel is a panel - not something that contains your changes. You must open your sequence in the timeline panel. In the project Panel, find the sequence that you worked in, and then double-click it. It will load in the timeline panel, where you can continue to work on that.

  Premiere Pro creates no subtitles, you can create titles (what you did), but that just creates a title element in your bin (or the project Panel). You must change those in your sequence like any other piece of footage, and you can set any time you like for them, because they are synthetically generated footage.

• OSMF and NetStreamCodes question.

  The last time Charles really helped me with reding OnMetadata. Now, a similar question. If I want to listen for events from NetStreamCodes, how?

  I put a listener if the mediaElement is loaded and onMetadata works, but listeners to NetStreamCodes do not work.

  Someone at - it any example of this work? What I am doing wrong? Where I am supposeed to listen?

  Good question, the Play.start and the StreamNot found are both propagated upward through the typed OSMF API.  When a video begins to play, it's of the PlayTrait playState property is PlayState.PLAYING.  You can listen to the playstate of the media player as well, which is a lot nicer than the syntax of character.  When he meets SteamNotFound, it spread upward like a MediaErrorEvent.

  I have a blu ray/dvd receiver Sony model hdbe370 connected via HDMI to a Sony's Bravia TV. The problem is that when I go to netflix, the TV do not display the subtitle or subtitles of the film. I saw the same picture in my computer or Xbox and then I can get subtitles and cc. I tryyied in vain to find the proper setting in the receiver and the tv.

  If a particular movie subtitles do not appear even after the steps mentioned in the link above, it may be possible that the subtitle data not in a format supported by your BD player. Cameras Sony BIV supports subtitles in the format of video overlay. If the subtitles for the film have been uploaded by Netflix in any other format as the broadcast LINE 21 format, then the subtitle appears during playback of the movie in the BIV unit.

  Your captions or subtitles may not exceed your security door or gate ground track. You need to reduce the font size or move to another line to shorten. Because first changes automatically position if it s more limit.

• Captivate 3 and CSS?

  My client, at the end, wants a new font type. We are talking about 9 project files .cp and over 200 total blades with hundreds of legends/rollover slidelets/legends, etc. I want to just scream!
  
  I started to make changes - but noticed that when you access an area of text to make a change, the box on the screen the geometry is changed (ranging from the size and placement, I wanted to return to an original state - totally screwing up my layout of presentation), and its placement on the timeline gets hostage (actually to pass on the timeline - usually reset at the beginning of the timeline - and decreasing or in) increasing the period of presentation).

  Hi Joe_MD

  You can try by clicking file > export > project captions and subtitles. This will create a Microsoft Word document. Then you might be able to select all of the text and change it there. Then click file > import > project captions and subtitles to pull in changes.

  Changes in geometry, click project, and make sure 'Autosize Captions' is not enabled as well as 'calculate caption Timing '. You want to probably the disabled also.
