Other Application CLDC & Eclipse Plugin Entry Point.

I'm create a listener in the background to update a GUI application and using Eclipse & plugin.  I don't see how I can change the type of request to be acting CLDC application Point of entry using Eclipse.  Does anyone know how to do?  I can create 2 projects of blackberry, but trouble doing that Im having a reference others even when I select project references.

Thanks in advance.

To change this right-click on the project and select Properties.  Then click on the BlackBerry project properties and select the Application tab.

Note that the alternative entry point option is not available if the project contains all the java source files added to it.

  • different icon for the different entry point

    Hi all

    In the taskbar, I want to show the different icon for application launched through different entry point.

    the instructions on this?

    Thank you

    Hello

    I found a solution to my problem.

    You can get application descriptor for the entry points added in the workspace, then using CodeModuleManager you can get the descriptors of application for the entry points for a given module.

    By analyzing this table of entry points for a module, you can find that you want to use and then use this index of entrypoint in homescrren.updateicon to change the icon.

    ApplicationDescriptor[] apDes = CodeModuleManager.getApplicationDescriptors(CodeModuleManager.getModuleHandle("XXXXX"));

    //apDes[0] is the default entry point
    //apDes[1] is the first alternate entry point
    //apDes[2] is the second alternate entry point
    HomeScreen.updateIcon(icon, 1); // updateicon for first alternate entry point

    Thank you.

  • direction of flow of entry point

    I used to know how to do this, but I do not remember, and I can't find in the help, or with a web search system. When I create a text layer in a composition (for example, to make a move lower third), text flows automatically the entry point as I type. But... she runs to the left. In other words, the "cursor" or entry point is still in the centre of the field, and while I'm typing text pushes to the left. I want the opposite - I want to run to the right of the text. How can I configure in AE cs6?

    Mess with the layer of text paragraph settings: justify left, right or centered.  Happiness follows.

  • Application Plugin error - could not find the entry Point (48::72)

    Hi all

    Anyone who bought my plugin has reported these errors when applying:

    invalid filter (25::3)

    could not find the main entry point for myplugin.plugin (48::72)

    They use CS6 on Snow Leopard on a Mac Pro 3.1 10.6.8 so this should work very well (the effect was compiled as a 64-bit using the latest XCode plugin, the Mountain Lion 10.8.5).

    I was wondering if anyone here has had this problem, and how they have solved.

    Thank you!

    Christian

    We managed to repro this on a machine running OS x 10.7.

    It turns out that it was probably due to one of the two parameters of generation in XCode:

    Basis of SDK, that I put OS X 10.9, and (most likely) OS X deployment target, which is the default value for the compiler. By reducing the Base SDKS to 10.8 and setting the target of 10.5 deployment. This fixed the problem on the machine 10.7.

    Waiting for the user who reported the problem to confirm the re-compiled version works on his workstation. However, I thought that I would put the solution here, just in case someone else has this problem in the future.

  • With the help of the parts Manager joined in the other entry Point

    Hello world

    IM currently building an application that will run on the OS 4.5 I am developing with the Eclipse plugin.

    What I try to do is create a context menu for attachments using the Attachment Manager and save it via an alternate Entry Point so that it starts and fits only when the phone starts.

    I already read the official BB articles about time to create a custom Attachment Manager and create an alternative Entry Point and I'm sure I followed the instructions correctly.

    So here is my main method:

    Public Shared Sub main (String [] args)
    {
    {If (args! = null & args.length > 0 & {args [0] .equals ("att")})}
    try {}
    AttachmentHandlerManager m = AttachmentHandlerManager.getInstance ();
    m.addAttachmentHandler (new AttachmentHandlerEntryPoint());
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    e.printStackTrace ();
    }
    } else {}
    MyApp PAP = new MyApp();
    theApp.enterEventDispatcher ();
    }
    }

    And here's my AttachmentHandlerEntryPoint class:

    Import net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.AttachmentHandler;
    Import net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.Message;
    Import net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.SupportedAttachmentPart;
    Import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.Dialog;

    / public class AttachmentHandlerEntryPoint implements AttachmentHandler {}

    String [] supportedFiles = {'doc', "docx", "xls", "xlsx", "ppt", "pptx", "jpg", "jpeg", "gif", "png", "bmp", 'pdf', 'txt'};

    public String menuString() {}
    return to 'My Attachment Handler';
    }

    ' Public Sub run (Message m, SupportedAttachmentPart p) {}
    Dialog.Alert ("file name:" + p.getFilename ());
    }

    {} public boolean supports (String, contentType)
    Boolean Val = false;

    for (int i = 0; i)< supportedfiles.length;="" i++)="">
    If (contentType.toLowerCase () .indexOf (supportedFiles [i])! = - 1)
    Val = true;
    }
    Return val;
    }
    }

    As I said, I already set the alternate Entry Point to send the 'att' arg to the Simulator.

    THE PROBLEM is that when I start the Simulator and open the mail browser, click on an attachment, but do not see the context menu which is supposed to be created with the AttachmentManager...

    Not reallly understand what is happening...

    Your help would be very appreciated. Thank you!

    You cannot create an AttachmentHandler for the types of files supported natively by the BlackBerry Smartphone. This and other methods of handling of attachments is described here:

    Delivering the content of the attachment to a BlackBerry smartphone

    It doesn't work anymore, I don't see an option for an alternative project entry point. How can we do this using the new plugin?

    Open your BlackBerry App descriptor file and you will see three tabs at the bottom. Go to the last tab and add your AEPS.

    No need to another don't project now (which is great).

    Hello

    As I read on this KB about to enter another application

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/set-up-an-alternate-entry-point-for-an-appli...

    But on the KB above, the main application is UiApplication and other entry point is not UiApplication!

    1. I wonder how to create the entry point alternative in which the two project is UiApplication

    2. for example, I have the application main who have 3 screens A, B, C. When user clicks on the icon for the main Application screens A. When the user clicks on the application of alternative entry point (another icon on the home screen), B screen. I wonder how we can do?

    Thank you.

    No, you create only one project. the ASP is set to the application descriptor.

    Man Shwarup

    Hi Shwarup,

    Try to replace these lines:

    int handle = CodeModuleManager.getModuleHandle ("MyApp");

    ApplicationDescriptor appDescriptor = (handle) CodeModuleManager.getApplicationDescriptors [0];

    With this:

    ApplicationDescriptor appDescriptor = ApplicationDescripto.currentApplicationDescriptor ();

    BTW, is "MyApp" the name of your application or the name of the module in your application?

                 MyApp appMain = new MyApp();
                    appMain.enterEventDispatcher();
                }
           } else {
               BackgroundApplication backApp=new BackgroundApplication();
               backApp.setupBackgroundApplication();
               backApp.enterEventDispatcher();
           }
        }

    The problem is that with this logic, my background application would be able to listen to incoming sms, but my application does not open when I click on the application icon in the home screen. If I exchange the conditions that the app opens but BackgroundApplication does not. Help, please.

    You can set the parameter of the appropriate project. the user interface needs the args "gui".
