• Cvent Feeder should send information to a Contact record or a custom data object?

  We use Cvent to organize our event series each year. The event series contains ~ 18 events each year. This will be the first year we try Cvent trough to connect the information that we collect to Cvent and push it in Eloqua? Should push us to a record of individual contact or a custom data object?

  My first inclination is to match to a contact record. My reasoning for this is that the event creates many new perspectives and we want these people to become contacts in Eloqua, so that they can be put in feed and then also synchronized in Salesforce. Our Organization has also had a very limited use of custom data objects so far, we're still learning the system, and it's so advanced capabilities of segmentation may still be beyond our capacity at the moment. My fear is that if we were to store data of Cvent in custom data objects, data objects that can be linked to a contact record because they are quite new perspectives there. On the other hand, a lot of information from the event record (beyond names, emails and addresses) is really intended for a custom data object. Any advice as to how we should do that?

  My recommendation is to use a custom data object. -Especially if you store specific information about the event.

  While I'm not 100% on the configuration of Cvent, you probably have the ability to set the default mapping that relates to the LCO to the contact table. -It is usually an email address

  Otherwise, you also have the option of specifying the parameter 'Mapping the default used in Upload' for the CDO. -Make sure it is set up properly as well. -Yet once, it is usually to address Email

  As long as they are set up correctly, the system will automatically create a new contact for you if the 'E-mail address' the participant Cvent is NOT already a contact Eloqua... More importantly, if the 'Email address' the participant Cvent is already a contact-> a new contact will NOT be created. (Instead, the existing contact will be related to multiple records LCO)... That's what you want

  This way don't unnecessarily create you more contacts than you need to.

  Once you get this sorted out, you'll be amazed how it is easy to start to use these CDO into Segments.

• Boxes and custom data objects

  I am creating a form with a list of checkboxes based on interests of customers - there are 8 in total and they can select several options.

  What I want to do is to create shared lists for each option which will serve as a member of segment for future mailings.

  I also need to store data for that person together so if I never, I can go and say ' well, Joe Bloggs here is interested in X, Y and Z, so I'll put him in the countryside, A and B'.

  Are the data objects custom the way forward? I had a go at creating and mapping it, but I don't know what to do with these boxes!

  For the shared list, simply use the step "Add to shared Contact list" of your form and make it to the condition that the box is checked. You will need 8 of these steps, one for each option.

  To preserve the data, I would like to use a custom data object. Create a new CDO set with an address field of the email and one for each of your boxes (and any other information you want, of course.) And then use the processing stage of 'Update Custom Data object - With Custom Values'. You can define this step to add a 'yes' or 'on' or whatever you want to the appropriate field in the ORDER. Yet once, make this step on the box being checked in your form. Yet once, you need to create 8 of these steps, but once you get the first fact, others should go faster.

  PS, I kept typing "from" instead of "form". Argh.

  Does anyone know where there are examples for data objects programming customized via Eloqua.API, I created 2 custom data objects and you now need to write the code for these objects via the API. The examples of code that I used for the previous tasks such as create a contact, create business, update contact and company, describe the entity... I used the following link to complete the previous, above the tasks mentioned.

  Hi Joey - looks like you you will first make a. Query() call using the name or the GUID personalized criteria, then the returned object, you can retrieve the Id property that will have the whole you need.

  Without this whole you will not be able to correctly map the data card.

  Trying to debug... I saw in the object AbstractOperation "1023 stack overflow" error getting caught, but when I run it normally I see no error...
  
  This object I send as an argument is like a custom class to hold one of my items for various operations on the server and the first method that works, the object I have send as and the argument is simple...
  
  This second purpose is as a container that contains a table of another container of objects containing any kind of my items...
  
  I thought that maybe there is a limit for mapping... I don't know... but I don't see any information to reach the server...

  It seems that by using the same RemoteObject to call a large number of methods on the same destination is not good...

  I created another RemoteObject to call the method and worked...

• Can I evaluate and fill out a form with data from a custom data object?

  I'm not a developer, but I'm trying to find as much information for my web team so they can implement this for me.  We use the E10.

  I have some information for the contacts stored in a data object custom I want to use for pre-population information access door and in another form.  For example:

  1. User enters his email address into a form and hands
  2. A search and contact and custom data object (CDO)
     1. If the contact has a CDO with the required information, he fills the following form with the information
     2. If the contact does not have the required ORDER, it displays information and a link to the place where to go next

  Is it possible, and where should I direct my developers learn more about treatments?

  Hi Richard,

  You can certainly do so using data for the Eloqua Web search (Setup > data Web Look Ups). A database search allows you to request data stored in Eloqua, bring up the page and with a few JS, we determine if they will go on track 1 or 2 you described above.

• process flow sequence (output of mapping)

  I have a map where I use the operator sequence and creating a record in the target table, I need to pass this variable out of the mapping and as input to another mapping. I'm not able to go to the sequence of the mapping. How we can assign values to the mapping of the output variables but I do it it says cannot assign variables to the output parameters of the mapping, it is said.
  
  parameter of input and output parameter mapping mapping are intended to be run before and after the stream of mapping and the cannopt accepts input from any part of the data stream.
  
  Any ideas as to how this can be done.

  write a plsql function that executes returns seq_XXX.currval (or, to be on the safe side, select the value in your table).
  Set this value to an output attribute.

  And no, pluggable mappings can be simply included other mappings, there is no way to run them directly.

  Hi, thanks much for reading! Long user Illustrator but I realized that I don't know how to do something very basic. I want to resize a group of objects to adapt to another object, without using the units of pixels or cm (all the vectors/parent).   As you can see, it is impossible to say when you have reached the correct place, because it is not in line with the other object when you use the resize tool.

  Ah ha, so, the Smart Guides like now Shift!  Because now with Shift will remain not the point to be broken under the cursor, and it won't work. I guess they have developed smart guides to work without using all the other constraints. It also works if you drag right to the edge and after the intersection with her along the edge where it intersect with the diagonal of the object to scale - it may be preferable for the amounts small scale where the smart guides label hiding the diagonal line. And I guess that the eye may be good enough for most cases.

  Also, when I tried it it did not for me, because in the Smart Guide preferences section transform tools were not verified. Maybe it's my settings, but I can never remember to turn it off, it can be turned off by default.

• Add custom SharedCollection object

  in my code, I have a SharedCollection called "playerDataCollection". I want to add a custom object called PlayerData which I use for storing drive-info like color, name, maps, etc... for her, something like that.

  If I now see in the ChangeHandler for the playersDataCollection, I see that its update, but the playerData is added as an ordinary object, making me lose all the data that I could access otherwise with the set defined in the custom object accessors.

  The only solution is to move all the separate components of the playerData object separately, something like

  playerDataCollection.addItem({userId:connectSession.userManager.myUserID, playerName:playerData.name, playerColor:playerData.color, ...});

  and rebuild locally in the ChangeHandler who would like this:

  Is it perhaps a simpler solution?

  Hello Hans,.

  All you have to do is register your PlayerData object that is customized by using MessageItem.registerBodyClass (PlayerData). Make sure that the manufacturer of the PlayerData accept null as default values for constructor parameters.

• BPM objects in XML format

  Hi all
  This may sound simple, but even for me is not. I want to get the XML data that comes out of my purpose of BPM. Basically, what I want is something like the XML object can do: use some kind of generateXMLFor() method, but I can't understand how to carry it out without doing a lot of work that is customized just on my structure of the object.
  
  I have some database tables catalogued in ALBPM, for which I created the heirs of objects. These objects are actually "contained" in a main object as attributes of it. In my obj I have a method that some work on the heirs of tables in order to manage the data. Doesn't bother me on how the data will be read or written, let's assume we have the large object filled with data. I want to convert data into XML generating tags called as the relative attribute and that contains the values of the attributes. How this can be done?

  Not sure why in this function you set only the part of the data in your data object. I suppose that you are unwilling to extend the reminder.

• IOM-impossible to map a custom field checkbox UDF via GTC

  We are on IOM 11.1.1.5 BP 02 and use GTC to the reconciliation of flat file. We have a custom UDF which is a box and the default value for this is 'False. ' We cannot map the value of this form of field configuration of the TAG page. When we try to save the configuration of the GTC it errros outside. Useful information on this please?

• Work of symbol map to the 3D object

  I can get the symbols pre-loaded to map to the art work, but the symbol that I created does not appear when I try to map it. I don't know if the problem is how I created the work or the original symbol or I'm doing something else wrong?

  Well, that's crazy. Finally managed to do work. You need to double click your symbol of circuit board to change. Go to Select > object > stray Points and remove stray points he finds. Double-click anywhere on the white work plan to return to the normal view and your circuit board needs to be mapped.

  Very strange that a wandering point keep this mapping, but there it is.
