Overclocking on Acer AM3450-UR30P

I have an Acer AM3450-UR30P. Can I overclock my AMD FX-4100 with AMD overdrive to 4500 Mhz and everything is stable. My question is will be AMD cool n quiet Butterfly always my processor until a low Mhz when I do not use the full 4500 Mhz? I also brought up my 12 GB ram. I use my computer for the video and photo editing and also for copping movies on my hard drive.

Hello

Overclocking too often has negative effects such as the heat while introducing the waiting
States that actually causes the computer to run more slowly.

Check with Acer and AMD Support, as well as the Forums from AMD. And check with the sites
who specialize in OC, but there will be a lot of very bad advice available.

  • Switch from Acer 10 from 32 bit to 64 bit OS

    Hello

  • Order Acer XB270HU 165hz OSD/Firmware

Hello, I'm new here. I just bought a discount to Acer's nine Xb270hu, and I'm in love. I back that models October 2015 and later came up with a newer firmware to support the 165hz overclock. I thought I'd take the risk for the price of refurbishment (given that I ordered this in August of 2016) I thought I'd get a more recent than October 2015. Unfortunately I do not have (mine is April 2015) . Is there anyway that I can update my firmware to get the 165hz? If I could literally waited for like another week the order xb271 came back in stock on eBay and I paid a premium for my xb270hu $500 when the 271 was $40 more.

    Hello RobbyD,

I see that your unit is to order Acer. From the looks of it, you mention eBay, is the one where you bought yours? Acer user name?

If Yes, do not forget, you have 30 days to return your unit, and 90 days warranty for repairs. The repair will not cover an update of the firmware, and from what I read, it seems that you can really send your monitor in to Acer to be reflashed. (Don't quote me on that last bit, I'm just reading what was written in the previous answer)

If your purchase was actually Acer order directly, send us an Email to [email protected] (this e-mail address would be written in the paperwork that came with the unit) include your full name (one order has been put under), the serial number of your monitor, and explain your problem on the 165hz overclock does not. If you are still within 30 days (you mentioned August, so you might be good), you can configure a return so that you could use the refund to buy a XB271 instead, if they are still available.

If you purchased from a third-party provider, you will need to contact them for a return to the place. However, according the information you gave in your original post, it looks like it is one of us.

    Hope this helps, take care

  • Acer aspire Advanced page unlocked V3-372

    Hello!

I hate the BIOS of the laptop, they are far too limited... Since I bought this machine, I should have a complete control over it.

I need to access advanced hidden on my bios settings, but I can't since its hidden... More importantly, I need to change the value of DVMT-pre-allocating for intel GPU.

I know they are there, I've done some research, but I hope the employee of acer or qualified members could help me on this.

If it can't be found, I can promise it was the last acer laptop I buy.

I don't care if violent methods guaranteed. I can always buy a new one.

MY laptop is Acer Aspire V3-372(-52SZ)

    Hello

Of course, the settings are there but no manufacturer help to unlock the BIOS of your laptop.

Why do you think that these pages exist? https://www.BIOS-mods.com/

And of course I understand it's frustrating for an advanced user, but this is the case for most laptops (I really want you to tell me one company who gorge yourself you a BIOS unlocked, maybe cyberpowerpc...) and PC more pre-build (not stretch you buying components and some company he assembled but labeled desktop computers).

I still need to find a company that gives you access to all the parameters of a BIOS for your laptop.

Now to be short: no doubt, you can unlock your BIOS if you get on other forums who may provide you with instructions (for example the link above), but do not expect that a manufacturer will provide you with assistance.

  • Acer Aspire 3830TG-6494 blocks everything at stake, using either built-in or nVidia Graphics

Acer Aspire 3830TG-6494 blocks everything at stake.

    Symptoms of the accident:

-happens anywhere out in the first 15 minutes to several hours in a game (no link with the graphic quality settings). Any loss of performance leading up to the accident.

-seeds and black, with a brief gurgling noise goes from the screen. Fan and power remains lit always works, forcing a hard reset.

-Occasionally, the screen freezes, lines horizontal green of ~ 1 cm will appear everywhere and a humming noise is output from the speakers up to a hard reset.

-Rarely, I get a BSOD, or the computer will shut down and restart itself. DMP files obtained do show no consistent presumed cause.

-Crash will be preceded by sometimes some sounds in the game by cutting. But not always.

-The only link between accidents, is that I think usually a solution worked just before the accident. (Frustrating!)

-System crash occasionally in watching videos or something, but only accidents constantly all game.

    I tried the following:

-Games running using only the built-in graphics card or nVidia GeForce GT 540 M GPU.

-Underclocking is the GPU (500 MHz and 700 MHz, 672 MHz and 900 MHz) CPU (70% of the power max seting plan) and both at the same time.

-The temperatures do not exceed 70 c under heavy use, and crash does not appear to be related to increases in temperature.

-Run the memory diagnostic Windows 7 and memtest86 (no problem found)

-Execution of diagnostic CPU intel and intel UERX reference that has not caused an accident.

-Updated all drivers for the latest versions, as well as make them back to the versions recommended on the acer website to download. (Completely uninstalled the graphics drivers before reinstalling different versions) And ensuring that windows update not installing driver updates automatically.

-the upgrade of BIOS for v1.12, has been stable for a weekend, he returned to crashing.

-The system seems to be more stable in sleep or in balance mode, but not a lot. I also knew the power adapter because it seems not crashing on the battery for a short period. But I was wrong, and he eventually crashing if hooked up or not.

Oh and try cleaning w / air, obviously

I don't play often and used to play older games on the lower quality settings. I'm not overclocking or streaming at the same time.

    Help, please

It looks like the modules of RAM that came with the laptop were somewhat incompatible with each other in dual channel mode. Comes with a 2 GB and a 4 GB, same frequency but different bar.

MemtestX86 or windows memory diagnostic found a problem with a stick.

Computer is completely stable when running with only the 4 GB stick, even under heavy use. Have since replaced by a kit 2x4gb without any problem.

Wish that I had looked at the problem, while the laptop was still under warranty, instead of assuming that it was overheating.

Downloaded suggested Malware removal tool msert.exe. Performed a full scan which found and removed a Trojan horse and an adware malware program. Unfortunately, I inadvertently closed the details of the report that calls the two offending programs so I can't go to the list of their names in this response. Can someone tell me where msert.exe reports are stored? If so I will list them in this forum as part of a response to this topic.

  • I just tried to install Firefox 14 on my Acer A500 Tablet and says that Firefox is NOT compatible with my device. When is this corrected?

Hello! I just tried to install the new version of Firefox (version 14 I think) on my Acer A500 Tablet and I get a message telling me that my device is not compatible. This seems very strange, new versions of Opera and Chrome that both work. I've been using Opera because older versions of Firefox were not very good, but I want to use the same browser on the desktop of my PC and on my tablet.

  • Need a link to DL Firefox 7.0.1 for linux, lang fi - FI (Finnish), to install on Acer Aspire one notebook with linpus linux.

I got an Acer Aspire One 110 with Linpus Linux lite. Nobody has updated, so the browser to this topic is Firefox 2.0.0.14, which is a major concern for safety.

The latest version of linux that works properly (as shown) is Firefox 7.0.1. Some people have reported problems from Firefox 8 in Linpus Lite.

So I need to find a link where I can download this version of Firefox, in Finnish (apparently lang = fi - FI) because Mozilla has removed his breaks like a stale version.

However, as it is the most recent version to work properly under Linpus Linux Lite (and also in view of the features of the Acer Aspire One 110), I could really use a download link for this version of Firefox, 7.0.1 in Finnish language.

    You can download it here

    PhoeNiX777, welcome to the forum.

You can go into the BIOS to find the section for Overclocking.  As for how far can the processor be what OC'd? -It depends on the processor.  I've never found two processors that OC the same.  The best policy is to take in small increments.  This ensures that it is not too overheat.  HEAT is your enemy.  Liquid cooling can make a big difference, but it still has its limits.
