OWB copies the entire project into another environment repo

Hi Experts,

We are using Oracle 10 g R2 and I'm still pretty much back to OWB. My question has probably been answered before but I can't find in the forum.

Details:
-We have 3 repository environment (Dev, Test, Prod).
-Connection users Dev
-In Dev create us our projects, deploy and run for the initial test mappings
-When everything works well, we put the location and configuration of the TEST environment. Yet once, deploy and test for the largest data set

Question:
-Is it possible to copy entire projects from Dev to TEST environment? If so, please help me on how to do it.

Concern:
Although the change location and Setup for the control center of one environment in another works very well. For me, having the copy test is more organize and easier to manage.

Thank you for reading and hope to get some answers.

After importing, you can check if all the objects have been imported into the newspaper. If the project has not been recognized, all internal objects will fail.
But first you must choose if you want to match by name or id. If the projects have created isolated in each environment, you have to choose "by name". If project names are different, nothing will then be imported. I only use 'match by id' when a project is the result of a previous import from the other project.
In addition, you must choose if you want to merge or replace objects, because you'll have a lot of duplicate objects. If you have selected 'create only' and objects was already there, nothing happens.

  • make an an area smaller than the entire project does not work

I recently installed 8 PE and converted from the original version of PE3 a project which is about 1 hour 40 minutes. I want to burn to a DVD and added some finishing touches.  Everything was fine, except that the entire project had a red line, so I decided to make the project (I couldn't see much if anything) which I did, and it took more than two days is more slower!  (35 video clips and 123715 images) OK, it finally finished so I saved the project.  Look at one was much better, if it's not perfect, but watchable.  So, back to the disk space, I deleted rendering files. Imagine my surprise when as soon as I did the red line is back, and intolerable listening to the edit mode.  The impression I got from PE8 help is that you could remove render after render files, as their goal had been finshed. I can't wait 2 days, so to accelerated rendering, I thought I would in small pieces, say 5 minutes each.  But even if I change the area of the workspace such as defined by the gray bar, (grabbing the end and drag it to a much smaller size - to the beginning of the project for example |) it begins to make the entire project again! what I am doing wrong?

What you're looking for is the Windows address book (WAB, work area Bar). You can then assign the share of exports/only the area work for most export formats. Don't forget to do. It is usually with a drop-down menu, or a checkbox.

  • Comp CC send the entire project to Muse

It seems that you can only send an entire project with its pages associated with the Muse only once.

Painful OK... .but now lets send them individually.

Yes it works... but now I have 10 different Muse open windows...

OK so let combine to make a project Muse

The staff in the forums says that you can not do this

    Really?

Comp CC is really a one page to MUSE tool - which seems just stupid to me.

Why allow Comp CC to have several pages in a project, if you cannot use them in the parent programs (Muse in this case)?

.. .or am I missing something?

    Hi Kim,

Thanks for posting. He is a frequent comment/request.

Several documents in a project is a relatively new feature in Comp (introduced in the update). That said, the product team knows that, since its introduction a few months ago, people want / need to be able to export an entire project in PDF format or on the desktop.

I don't know much more now, but I don't know that the Comp team seeks to integrate this feature into the app.

I hope it helps a bit.

  • Combine the two projects into one

I know it is a very popular question and I read many answers excellent previous answers.  The two most popular procedures seem to be simple copy - paste and use clips of compounds with copy / paste.  CPF has improved this process over the years and I ask the question again to get the benefit of current thinking.   I have an iMac (mid-2011) OS X 10.11.4 and FCP worm 10.2.2.  I have two separate events within the same library.  There is a completed project, with all the transitions, effects and music, located within each discipline.    Current ideas on how to combine these two projects into one would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Copy and paste is the only method I know.

Open the project in the timeline first.

Open the second project in the timeline panel. Only one project appears at the same time.

Select an item in the timeline and press command + A to select all, then control + C to copy.

Use the project navigation arrows to return the first project:

Move the playhead to where copied clips must be glued and press command + V.

  • Draggable object throughout the entire project?

I need to create an object, which

    1. appears with a toggle button (show/hide),
    2. must be movable,
    3. contains subtitles (closed captioning) for audio files,
    4. contains a button to get to the next slide. When you enter the next slide, the draggable object must stay on the same position as on the front blade, but the text of the following subtitle should be considered.

Is it still possible in Captivate?

You cannot drag a group or. Only unique objects can be dragged. D & D cannot be timed for an entire project.

Subtitle (CC) cannot be moved or.

I'm sorry, but without probably much JS programming, this isn't something that can be easily created.

  • Get CS3 to recognize the same project to another drive?

I have a couple of different external hard disks that have copies of my projects. Depending on what else is connected to my laptop the 2 drives can be named F, G, H, I, j, etc... The main external that I opened my project was named F:\ for very long. Now my laptop recognizes it as G:\. When I opened a project for this drive in the first, he asked where are all the files. When I try to rename the drive to the computer > FreeAgent drive (g) it's just renames it "FreeAgent drive F: (G :)". ", do not change the name of the real player. No matter what I unplug, restart the computer, etc.... the former F: drive is now recognized to G:.

In the first I can't find an easy way to get all the files that were previously associated with F: now to join G:.

Is there a way of to rename the F: drive through windows or within first first recognize that all of the files associated with the project are now on a G: drive.

I understand that I can reassociate the files individually in G: but that would take several hours.

Then you will have no problem changing the drive letter.

  • Why a few recorded tracks "empty" when I opened the Garageband projects on another machine?

    Hey

I have just updated my laptop to be able to run the same version of GarageBand on my iMac and MacBook (OS X El Capitan and GarageBand v.6.0.5) and work on projects of GB on what that machine is available.

I just tried to open a few GB on my MacBook projects (both were created on my iMac) and the recorded vocal tracks are "empty", as below.  The track from the top (purple) is any wav. file and the blue trace below is the vocal track, although it says "file not found".

I copied the root folder where I save all my records in GB on my iMac to Dropbox so I could open projects GB on my laptop, so all audio files must be in the same place.  Or I make a stupid mistake?  It's really quite likely, but any help is very welcome!

    Thank you

    Rich

I copied the root folder where I save all my records in GB on my iMac to Dropbox so I could open projects GB on my laptop, so all audio files must be in the same place.

The problem could be the DropBox synchronization. DropBox is ideal for simple documents, but your GarageBand projects are files with databases and multimedia files inside. Synchronization can break the connection between the media files and internal databases.

If you want to transfer projects with Dropbox, it is safest to compress the projects and move to archive compressed to dropbox.

But see, if the media are still inside the Garageband project. Perhaps the download was not complete.

    • CTRL-click the .band file and select "Show Package Contents".
    • In the Finder window that opens, select the "Media" folder
    • Copy the audio files in this folder to a folder on your desktop.
    • Try to identify the missing audio file.  If you can find it, drag it to the track where it is absent.
  • First 14 Elements: I can add / import a project into another project?

    Hello

I work with items 14 and really had a lot of files in my current 4 K - project.

Regardless, I have an Intel i7-K4770 performance within the project has been very bad and slow.

That is why I decided to split the Bill and begin to cut, cross fading and put title in sepearte projects.

I thought that the best way to handel this amount of project files is to export each project to a separate film.

Start a new project and put in files separated to put together, make cuts more and put background music in and extract in the final movie.

But in the meantime I think that different, so here's my Question:

Is it possible to import separate projects (not movie extracted files) with all the settings in a new project and work on it?

    Thanks in advance

    Eddy

You can import or combine projects in the elements of Prime Minister.

You can a video finished each of several projects and then to join them in a new project.

Some find out H.264 MP4 of sufficient quality, there is no visually perceptible loss of rendering.   Others feel better to use "Lossless" codec out of subprojects in the mater project.  Lagarith lossless codec is available as shareware on the internet.  Its drawback is that the intermediate files you produce will be large.

  • How to eliminate the edges of the image for the entire project?

I finish a project of 24 fps 1920 x 1080 in CS4. I want to cut the edges of the image to the film because the edges of the clips jump from one side to another a little. How can I do this?

Just clip on the clip with the effect of cropping and choose copy.  Then select all the other clips only and right click and Paste attributes.

  • I accidentally deleted the entire project.

    Restores possible in Sketch?

    Hi Sergra,

No, I'm sorry. It's not once you type in two confirmation dialog boxes remove.

There are two ways that it can be recovered, but both methods require special circumstances:

    1. If you were offline when you deleted the project, then the deletion has not yet synchronized to the cloud. In this case, stay offline on your device and connect to http://assets.adobe.com (My Active - Mobile Creations - Sketch), and then make any changes to the project (for example. Rename it). Then, when your iPad comes back online, the new edition will cancel the deletion and your project must synchronize down to your device.

    2. If the deletion already made it back to the cloud and you can no longer find your project on assets.adobe.com, so if you have another device that has Sketch installed, you can try to disconnect this device, launch the application and make any changes to the project locally (renaming). Then, when this device comes back online, the new edition will cancel the deletion and your project must be re-downloaded back to the cloud.

    Hoping that it might help.

  • Is there a bug with the maintenance of interaction of the Glossary for the entire project?

    Greetings,

I've seen in other posts (Cp6) that there is a known bug with the maintenance of interaction available in a project glossary.

Maybe my problem can help further this question - or maybe someone can post tips on how to solve this problem.

I use a trial version of the Cp7 and followed the advice in this tutorial: http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=wTEF-56V1Z4

I found that if I left 'Visible output' box unchecked for the button closure (as in the tutorial), I don't see the glossary at all.

Similarly for the button I created for the glossary - I couldn't have hidden or I don't see it.

Another problem: the close button in the glossary (which is grouped in the interaction) in a first time appeared with the glossary, but then decided to appear on following slides without it (but in the same location).

Everyone has been able to follow the advice on the above tutorial link successfully and is there another tutorial I can watch or read about it? I really want to provide access to the glossary on multiple slides and during quizzes. (And Yes, I'll buy a license - although the number of bugs I encounter creeps upward!)

    Thank you

    Jacqui.

    Hello

Unchecking 'visible output' means the Group glossary will be invisible in the output until it is made visible by an action. In this case, the action that make visible is assigned to the Glossary button.

    Make sure that:

    • Glossary button, button Exit and the Widget are defined "Rest of project" accordion Timing.
    • EXIT button is set to Place object on top in the accordion of Timing.

  • reentrant VI copies the entire structure VI (of Subvi) when it is called?

    Hello world

I would ask each of you about the reentrant VI.

I have a VI (Thread.vi), which is set to reentrant (Preallocated clone reentrante execution) that is called from the main vi using the method run a VI. Reference of vi is open with all of the option 0 x 8.

When I call the Thread.vi, the original vi clone is created.

My question is, when the clone of the first level vi (Thread.vi) is created, all the Subvi contains the Thread.vi is also the Subvi originally clones?

Going to queue named in the Thread.vi when it is called by using the control property value node and using this queue within the Thread.vi (in sub - VI) to control the Thread.vi.

My problem is that when two clones are created, I can run, stop, and close the two together. But when I want to close the second clone, the Dequeue function reference to queue the first clone. I do not understand what the queue has been obtained with the name in the main vi and spent in the clone of Thread.vi. When I want to close the first clone, it works as it has reference to the appropriate queue.

I thought that LabVIEW creates entire hierarchy of the Subvi the reentrant VI so when it is called.

Thank you for your answers and help.

    Tukan

    I'm using LabVIEW 2014 32 b, Windows 7

You use named queues, so unless you call your clones several times (rather than, say, calling a clone and get running code in a loop for a "long time"), I would recommend not worrying to pass a reference queue for the Clone, but rather the name of the queue.  Get the Clone of its own queue - if the hand is already done, get queue of the Clone will not allocate a new queue, but returns the reference to the queue already created.

Screws that are used by the Clones can be "specific clone" (if they are, themselves, marked as Reentrant) or 'universal' and shared by all of the Clones.  There is really nothing wrong with that, as long as you realize that while A Clone uses void-VI X, Clone B will be "blocked" when it tries to use the Subvi, if you want to run in a mode of the Subvi '-and-out ", without blocking.  In particular, not to put any function, for example a Dequeue, who must wait in a common Subvi.
