parent of the window

I've done some JavaScript custom in Captivate and helping me understand works Captivate, I've been looking for examples.

To display a cp element that I can call

CP. Show ("the element name");

but I have seen a few examples where they preceded the call with window .parent for example.

Window.parent.CP.Show ("element name");

It's confusing to me - when "cp" would not be in the window, but be in the parent?

That would mean then that

window.addEventListener ("moduleReadyEvent", function (evt) {...

then it must be written

window.parent.addEventListener ("moduleReadyEvent", function (evt) {...

?

You use window.parent in the code inside an iFrame. If you create an animation and insert as a html5 animation, you must talk to Captivate in this iFrame/animation window.parent.

    * I have already connected to fss.live.com and https://familysafety.microsoft.com. This solution does not remedy the issue.* *.

    When you try to use the Windows 7 parental control features, it first asks you to connect to Live.  When I do, I get the 8004B3E9 error Code and it asks me to "connect to account.live.com and accept the terms of use.  However, in doing so, there are no terms of use for me to accept.  I also go to fss.live.come and familysaftely.microsoft.com and no option for the conditions of use is available to accept.  In addition, I tried different browsers.

  • Cannot make changes to the parents control settings (Windows 7)

    I've seen several comments regarding this same problem, but so far no solution.

    I am the administrator, but I get an error when I try to access the parent on standard accounts control settings.  Now, what's even weirder, is that I am able to access ONE of the standard accounts, and there is nothing different between this account and others.

    I have tried all the solutions already posted:

    -running 'services.msc' and the implementation of parent controls (which is said by the way, says "this service is a stub for of Windows Parental control feature that existed in Vista", which is strange, it's as if there's no 'Parental control' in Windows 7?);

    -create a new administrator account via the control panel (in the case where my administrator account is corrupt), by restarting and trying to put Parental controls

    -create a new administrator account using the command prompt "net user administrator / Active: Yes";

    -in the course of running "sfc/scannow".

    ANY OTHER IDEAS?

    Did you you run regedit as an administrator? It is a common problem in trying just new values. This is done by right-clicking on the program and selecting "Run as Administrator". This allows you to write new values.

    If you would like more information on this subject by me, read the last post on page 3 here:
    If you have recently encountered this problem, I would recommend a system restore, and I explain the reasons in the tread above.

    simply pass the parameters to your window popup, like calling a page apex and in defining the elements of the page.

    for example, html_PopUp('f?p=100:10:123123123:::P10_REGION_NAME:MYREGION');

  • Change the appearance of the windows of the inactive VI

    Hello!

    I'm working on a software that called screw under different and they all open as new windows in front of the main one. The problem is that these windows are usually smaller than the original VI and the amount of orders that you see on the screen is sometimes a bit boring. You would see the VI parent on the region covering the new window. I want to do is to have the parent VI change its brightness or perhaps have a "fog effect" on it so that attracts your attention is the currently active VI. I apologise for the confused explanation, but I don't know how to make me "understandable." I found an article that explains how to change the background color of the VI, however, I have an image as the background of the application, so the color change will have no effect. What I want is something similar to what happens when Windows Vista asks you administrator rights to perform an action, if all remaining screen gets darker and brings attention to the dialog box.

    Thanks in advance for the help!

    Kind regards

    Hello!

    First of all, thanks a lot for your quick help. Unfortunately, I am running LabVIEW 7, so I couldn't find the integrated function of transparency. I checked the tst library and used its transparency Subvi on the inactive window whenever a new window opens.

    I made a few changes to add comments of my research on MSDN about the functions used, so in case anyone feels helpul, here the VI.

    I appreciate the contribution of all.

  • Management of user accounts and Parental control in Windows 8

    Hello

    I'll post a thread on how to manage the user accounts and Parental control in Windows 8.

    A user account allows you to connect to Windows 8. By default, your computer already has a user account that you have been
    needed to create when you configure Windows 8. If you want to share your computer, you can create a separate for each Member of your household or office user account. You can also choose to associate any user account with a Microsoft account. Signature with a Microsoft account will bring all your SkyDrive files, contacts and more in the start screen. You can even connect to another computer that has Windows 8 and all your important files will be there.

    Here is a video on how to manage the user accounts and Parental control in Windows 8.

    Also, here is a document showing you how to manager Our user on Windows 8.

    If you have any questions let me know.

  • How do I create a Parent account to Windows Live family safety?

    Hello

    I have a Windows Live account and I have created several others to implement parental controls of Windows, but I could not.  With all the accounts that I created, I continue to encounter one or two messages error with or the other account.  It is said that "this service is not available at this time" and other States that the account is not registered as a Parent.  I read the comments to discussion threads where advice is given on how to fix known issues associated with these error messages, and none of them work for me.  When I connect to Windows Live with an account, any account, they look alike, and it is never an option to add a child with the exception of the link subsumed under permissions.  When I click permissions and click to add an account, all that I see is the ability to add social media accounts in my Windows Live account.  I tried almost every permutation I can think to solve this problem.  Provide advice.  Thank you.

  • Parental controls in Windows 7

    I am trying to set up a standard account with parental controls on Windows 7 and have Norton Security installed.  I'm blocking access to the majority of installed programs, but don't know if I should leave that everything related to Norton Security so that it works as expected. Am I suppose to allow any Norton-related programs for the program works properly or even Norton will work as it is supposed to if nothing is done?

    Hello

    You can use the Windows 7 or your security 3rdparty Parental control software. Of Windows 7 Parental control options cannot be combined with your security 3rdparty software. It would be better if you check the Parental control option that would suit you better. If you decide to keep your control Parental of Windows 7, you can leave your such security 3rdparty software what.

    For more than two years, I have install parental controls with the family of security filters on the computer used by my children. I have NOT connected to the computer or seen the reports. When I try to access the reports today, it took me to a Web site where I was prompted to log in to the Site of family of Microsoft. After using my normal Microsoft credentials, there is no account or clickthrough reports.  I was asked to add a child. I don't remember creating a separate account for parental control of Microsoft. Is it possible to determine which account has been used or is the way to access these reports changed?
