Pavilion g6-2241sa: remove message after problem solved

In 'updates & tune-up' in my "HP Support Assistant" I see that an important message is available. This is 'create your system recovery '. This has been done.  How can I remove this message?

Similarly, in "security potentiaal risk" I see in 'security system' that the 'virus protection' and 'protection against spyware and unwanted applications' are disabled. In fact, I think they are now on.  How to remove these warnings when the issues have been resolved?

Thank you very much for your help.

I agree I'd be concerned.  I used Norton which came with my new laptop, front of Sophos.

I spent hours chatting with a technician in Microsoft over the weekend, who did all the things that I did and got the same result.

Finally telling me I need to pay about $150 for further progress.  Maybe I'll wait for Windows 10.

I also tolds previously, after a lot of testing by a Microsoft technical, that to operate the player Media also would cost the same amount.

The computer is running and I'll leave it alone for now.

During the holidays, I thought I would try to solve my problems and learn in depth on my computer, but it might be better to concentrate on my work, do not get perfection in computer management.

So thank you very much, and for now, I'll consider the matter closed.

always check the compatibility of vista programs on the link below

If a program is compatible with vista you can try right click on the setup.exe and then by selecting run as administrator to install it

It is not compatible with vista, you can try running it in a previous operating system mode

This does not work for all programs

  • What happened to the question/problem, that I just posted? You meet serious accidents on your servers that removes messages?

I can't find the post I recently set up here. Have you had an accident which deleted all recent messages?
I wanted to write comments to a suggestion that I got here, which was the use of Acronis as a backup manager...
Manufactured by MowGreen - thank you for your comments.
But you might have some use of the comment, what I am to do - I actually tried on the backup program you suggested; Acronis.
I don't know if you have ever tried to restore a backup? You said that you never 'had to' restore...
I tried to make a backup of my fresh without Norton and all windows and then tried to restore the backup.

For me, Acronis 2010 ATI seems pretty useless!

He could not read that a backup of my discs Inter Raid 5 - OK, can be forgiven.
But he could not read from a SATA vanilla which contained a backup.
And when I tried the last option to put a backup on a DVD, the program crashed when trying to read the DVD that contains the backup.
So you better hope that you never have any of your backups - you will never be able to read from this backup.

On the problem using Windows Update.
You said that Norton 360 v2 Online is totally incompatible with Windows Vista (or Windows Update?). I am running Windows XP - is the same true for XP?
Is this true for the Norton 360 Version 3 too? All products current Norton is not compatible with Windows?

Here is the text that has been deleted on the Forum server:

I created backups worthless - MS removes automatically after 90 days...

But when reinstalling Windows XP Pro MCE 2005 I managed to beat or dodge the many problems - like all the
famous error when update .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 and many others
Suddenly I met an error generated by Microsoft of NONRECOVERABLE type!

While trying to install Windows, I agreed that Windows was full of bugs and security flaws and
need a large number of fixpacks installed via Windows Update.
Such a group of patches is called KB930494 and the full name is:

.NET framework 1.0 Service Pack 3 SYSTEM. WEB. DLL and MSCOREE. DLL Security Update for Windows XP Media Center Edition and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition

Windows Update gave a brief error msg that this update has failed and I have tried to run this update
manually when it produces the following error message: (note he's telling the truth when it)
claims that "Windows may not work correctly")

    ---
    KB930494 Setup error

    Error while updating your system.
Windows XP has been partially updated and may not work properly.

    Ok
    ---

So, this update of Microsoft killed my system - it sure that _ 'does not properly"more.
Lots of things off, lots of BSOD...

Og - of course I should have used the system restore and created a backup that I should come back...!
I did well - but this bomb of viral type of Microsoft made sure it was not possible to create
a valid system by restoring such a backup. Probably because half the file system matches the other.

The worst part is - even if I try to reinstall Windows again, avoiding this Virus created by MS, how can I be sure that
This will be the only disguised bomb nothing extraordinary provided by Windows Update as necessary security patches?

So guys, what is the best utility backup/restore partition there?

    Thank you for your response.

I didn't know about the log file, but watching her (she is very large) it seems is it can only be useful to those writing or working with
    updates...?
You want to send me the file here? (Probably too big). Or you want I send you the file to watch?

Only say unique error Code I find gives the following:
Windows XP has been partially updated and may not work properly.
    29.641: Update.exe extended error code = 0xf070

Interesting piece of info about security SW, because I have Symantec Norton 360 v2 online riddled with bugs, but I'm not
optimist that disable Norton 360 Windows Update would do the trick, especially since I had so much
problems with most of the time updates .NET Framework - it seems that this Windows component is full of problems...

On the question of the "order of Installation" I initially let Windows Update handle this the way he wanted to.
After that giving the briefest mention that only KB930494 had failed, I then tried to revive this one update.

Do you think the system can be restored using the REPAIR, or whatever, or I have to reinstall all windows
    from scratch?

    Kind regards

    ---
    Ben,

There is no need to send or post the log, because the whole .NET updates installation and OS stability problems are caused by Norton 360.
Suggest you clean boot Vista as being expected to eliminate all processes and services of Norton to interfere with the installation of the update.
In fact, you'd be much better off dumping Norton 360 and installing a Windows-compatible antivirus software.
Then launch their removal tool for Norton ensure all remnants no longer stay or run this tool (AppRemover) as she removes a long list of security products.
Then download and install one of the free AVs that work well with Windows Vista, Avast or Antivir .

You can probably repair the OS running sfc/scannow from an elevated command prompt .
If that can't do the job, then perform an upgrade on the spot .

    Hello ch4rlie1949,

Run The System File Checker utility:

To determine if the problem you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows Vista, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the appropriate Microsoft versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search .
    2. Right-click cmd in the programs list and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue
    3. To order invites, the following line and press ENTER: sfc/scannow (Yes there is a space after sfc)

This analysis may take some time to complete. When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved. Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!

  • Camera not properly initialize since v. 4 - PROBLEM SOLVED

I'll preface this with have not only I've done several ' resets all the ', I deleted all the files from camera loaded on the SD card that have been created in v.3 and after 'Reset All' was performed manually via the menu and re configure all my preferences instead of loading old sound of the SD card.

With that of the road, my problem is 80% of the time that I start the camera with power supply or a battery, the unit freezes at the Sony logo on the submenu. Power must be cut (which has no effect), power removed/disconnected, wait the Sony logo screen disappears and then try to restart. It usually takes 2-4 trys until the camera manages to move to the "Sony" screen and performs full initialization upward. IM dreading the day that this happens on a job and the camera completely fails to start completely. I NEVER had this problem with all previous firmwares. Anyone else having this problem and any advice on how to solve this problem?...

Side note: my first F5 made the day I brought home from Abel a year ago, but in this case the start of Sony screen wouldn't go away no matter what I or Able tried to do. They talked to Sony and said send it back, fortunately Abel gave me a new on-site and I never knew the question once again. Until now...

UPDATE: May 30 - problem solved.

Well it seems that everything has been healed. I went to Sony to Teaneck service yesterday and they replaced "PCB of HIF - 64" or, as we have been referring to him as the SDI card. Also updated the wheel to stop ND, design much better. Engineers, that I talked to had seen cameras having the same problem as me and reinstallation of the map is the apparent cure. Spoke with a Senior technician there for a good 45 minutes a range of topics. Was'nt able to get new information out of him, but he was very helpful and insightful no less. He said that the Japan is aware of the issue of sensor grid that some people have, but they have not been told that the solution will be even.

Thank you Alister, I'll give them both a go and communicate the results.

  • iMessage misappropriation of Group Messages after cancel registration

    Hello

I recently turned to a Samsung Galaxy phone after a series of recent frustrations with my iPhone 6.  I followed all the instructions from Apple more than a week before you switch phones, including the signing of iMessage, FaceTime, etc. and unregister iMessage on the support site.  iPhone users can now send me different SMS messages without problem, but I can't group message with the users of the iPhone, as iMessage diverts the wire and I never see any message but my own.  It is a huge problem for me because we use texts of the Group largely to work.  I opened a bug with the following report:

Summary: After switching to an Android device and correctly following the instructions of Apple unregistered iMessage and FaceTime, I am still unable to receive messages from iPhone users group. They will receive my messages in the form of group MMS texts, but their yields are sent as iMessage and I (obviously) never received it. This has been a problem for years, but has apparently resolved. It is a major issue for anyone who switches between multiple devices.

    Steps to reproduce:

    (1) have an iPhone on a cell line with turned on iMessage.

    2) unregister iMessage and FaceTime, and then swap your SIM card in a phone Android 24 hours or more after.

    (3) send a group message to some iPhone users.

    (4) they will receive your messages as SMS/MMS, but their statements will be sent as iMessage and so lost.

Expected results: iOS devices should recognize that the device that they sponsor is not compatible iMessage and default return of SMS/MMS Messages as expected.

Actual results: complete failure, with iMessages lost in the ether and interrupted communication.

    Version: 9.2 / 13 c 75

    Notes:

    Configuration:

IOS9 iPhone switched to the Samsung Galaxy S6 after following Apple recommends steps to unregister from iMessage. Also reproducible simply turn off iMessage and trying to use the SMS of traditional group on an iPhone with iOS 9.

This is the response I got:

    Apple Developer Relations21-Dec-2015 10:17

Engineering has provided the following information about this issue: that's right. The group, if she's never iMessage, will not downgrade to MMS. If you have had at some point in the past sent an MMS to this group we would allow downgrade of the group. Basically, if unsubscribe iMessage in one group of iMessage we don't downgrade the conversation to a weaker technology.

I can't imagine that their strategy of engineering must divert ability group for users e-mail constantly, so I sent the following response:

Although Apple cannot divert definitely my ability to group with iPhone users message - there must be a method to solve this problem. How did I go on group messaging with iPhone owners that use iMessage? Deletion and recreation of these threads do not work for iPhone users, even those who can me message directly, as the new thread converts iMessage and I'm still cut out of the conversation. I can't imagine that Apple engineering strategy is to break the ability to e-mail for each user who passes off the platform.

You all have my question is this: someone could resolve this problem and resume the group messaging with iPhone via MMS instead of iMessage users after the passage? Engineering response seems like it would be incorrect (and it also seems that it would somehow illegal/immoral to permanently divert number someone if it was actually true).

Any help you can provide would be great.

    Thank you!

I met just that as well. I had to disable the Group MMS on my new phone just to receive texts from my roommates. It is unacceptable behavior if there is really no work around beyond disabling group MMS.

  • 4 updates keep the facility several times, but do not appear in Add/Remove programs after a reboot

Original title: 28/03/14 Windows XP updates wants to keep same installation 4 updated updated on logoff. BUT do not show in Add/Remove programs after a reboot? Thanks.Help please.

Hi, I know this question is a chopped dead horse more again and again. And thank you for your help. Preparation for April 8, the best I can. You want to change this mess first. Very tight schedule. Don't know if these updates are important. Has been published about 5-7 days ago.

There are 4 Windows XP updates on my 2004 Sony Vaio wish to logoff (on the stop icon) install. And say sucessfully installed it when I do this on the Windows Update page. But after the restart, the updates below do not appear in the Add/Remove Programs folder. That's why when I logoff, he wants to install on the stop icon again, eating my C drive that has now fallen to 15%... Just enough to defragment. I don't know where to install these files. Need to trash and cleaning of the space. Your help is more appeiciated. Thank you very much.

Either by the way, the blue light caps lock shift flashes once every five seconds then stops, then continues the cycle. I went through all the normal fixes (remove the battery press button start for 30 sec etc etc no luck) and after perseveering attempts of 40 or 50 by pressing F8 repeatedly at the start I finally get a result.  and I am offered beginning of normal startup mode / safe etc. and then windows 7 log on screen performance. Evertime I get the screen back, I noticed that the date is returned in May 2009. Other small things like no sound setting when I click on the desktop icon are also apparent. Restore to an earlier time makes a difference in the way.

    Hi @WaterlooSunset ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion g6-1010sa Notebook and the problems dated back to 2009. Try to check the RTC battery. Could be low and causing the time clock (RTC) incorrect real which would cause the error of the internal battery. Here is a document to show you how you can replace that.

    Hope this helps you.
