PDF file created in Indesign on Mc cannot be edited od PC?

Hello

I use Indesign CS6 on Mountain Lion. I have today at epxorted a book in PDF format.

Unlocked.

I checked several times in Acrobat. everything is allowed.

Then I sent thr pdf more translator for proofreading.

But he is not able to add a note on WInXP AR IX.

PDF seems to be locked in enamel somehere...

No idea how to solve this problem?

Thank you

OK, Reader 9 (Adobe has not started this Roman numeral x, then that sounds a bit weird).

Well... Yes. The reader is free, there are a lot of things acrobat can do but drive impossible. After all, drive exists to encourage people to buy Acrobat. So watching what is allowed in Acrobat will not tell you what someone with the drive can do.

That said, there is a feature in Acrobat Pro, which can allow people who own Acrobat to unlock a little drive. Try file > save as > Reader Extended PDF > allow comment and measurement.

  • Impossible to print a PDF file created in InDesign

We have created several PDFs from InDesign and have had problems, their impression.  I am sure that the problem is with the type of policy that was used in the PDF (Lato).  Recently, we sent the same PDF on a 3rd party and they have problems printing.

Pdf files of fine print preview on a Mac.

On Win7 64-bit, they print out of the browser chrome, but not Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat. (on X and XI).  If I go to advanced properties and select "Print as Image", it will print.

The document properties list the fonts as "embedded subset".

To check if this is a matter of police, is the only option to remake one of the documents problem in a different font or y at - it another option?

I did a quick test with Lato Type open and it prints without problem in Adobe Reader/Acrobat. That is why I referred you. Now, given that many documents with TT fonts, you will have to do a search/replace to replace. But you might want to just try a file with open Type and see what happens.

  • Problem when printing the PDF file created by InDesign

    OK, here's the scenario.

I have a flyer, created in InDesign. I drew a grey curve (in InDesign) that goes at the top of each page.

I import a transparent logo in PSD format and place it on top of the grey curve.

In InDesign, and when I PDF looks good (at any zoom level).

However, when I print, there is a slight outline around the logo transparent and it has a slightly different shade of gray in the background (it is different from the curve).

Does anyone know why this might be?  I also tried to import the logo with the same gray background as in InDesign, but the same problem occurs.

    Any help is appreciated!

  • A pdf file exported from InDesign, but displays various error messages when the same file is downloaded on the same laptop from the company's Web site

    Hello

I'm having a problem with a pdf file created for my business. It exports without problems and displays correctly on my computer, but once it is transferred to the Web site and you download from here, pages randomly displayed not correctly, images and pieces of text go missing and different "internal error" messages pop up, such as:

    "An internal error has occurred."

"There is an error on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the pdf document to correct the problem.

"Failed to retrieve the embedded police"LICYDR + GaramondMT". Some characters may not display or print correctly.
    "Insufficient for an image.

And when I close the pdf file it asks if I want to save even if I did not bring any changes to the document. It seems that everyone has problems with pages and receive different error messages. It is exported using the smallest file size preset in InDesign. Any idea what could be the cause? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

One thing to check is if BINARY is used in the FTP client. If a client FTP ASCII is used, it may corrupt PDF files.

Here's another thing to check yourself for you. Find the size in bytes of your original PDF. Now, look at the size of the uploaded file in bytes. Are they the same? If this is not the case, ask your colleague the size in bytes of the PDF file on the server. Is this the same as the original, or bad file?

In Windows Explorer click the icon "show preview pane" on the right side of the toolbar. Whenever a PDF file is opened in the preview pane, Windows treats as "in use" and will not allow that it be modified or deleted.

  • Cannot read the PDF files created by the FTP adapter

    Hello

I cannot read the pdf files generated by the FTP adapter with its default settings.

Can someone guide me how to proceed with him. I guess I have to change something in the mechanism of coding in the FTP adapter outbound connection Pool, but do not know what is to be.

    Thank you

    Richa

    Hi all

I got the solution. I was unable to read .pdf files because the FTP adapter send files just by changing the extension of .xml to .pdf .txt is the reason why it was not readable.

We had to write a java code to convert the .xml file .pdf and then PAA to the FTP adapter.

    Thank you

  • VISTA - cannot find the pdf files created?

I run Vista Ultimate 32 bit and Acrobat 7.0 standard
When I have a document open for example... I click on print and select PDF Writer (normally) I then have the option the name of the file and go to where I want it to go.
I always choose "desktop" I then click on print... and a popup window then advises:
"For the safety of your computer, this file was saved in the temporary Internet files folder. Do you want to open this folder? »

If I select Yes... it opens the folder, but there is no inside pdf file... If I select No.... I find myself with no file in any case.

Conducting a search of the name file also does not return the location of the files... where the hell VISTA to put the files, and how do I get put them where I select?

OK... understand, she was purchased for XP...

I can't afford to buy another complete copy... just for generation occasional .pdf, I'll use one of the free .pdf instead generators.

  • Editing a PDF file created in another program

Can someone point me down on this?

When I go on change just has a bunch of seemingly random editable text boxes everywhere.

Edit PDFs of way must be avoided as much as possible. They were supposed to never be edited like that.

The solution is to go to the format of the original file used to create the PDF file, edit and then generate a new file.

If you do not have access to this file, you can try to export the PDF to a more editable format (Word, InDesign, etc.) and then work on it, but it's a long shot...

  • In what program this PDF file created from?

    Hello

I hope someone can clue me on how this PDF file has been done where I'm guessing that if you regularly Adobe Acrobat reader you can edit/interact with the file. I really love to know if there is a tutorial that can teach me how to create the blank square text for changes by others field. Here is the link

    http://www.sec.gov/about/forms/formd.PDF

I thought that the document could have been done in Adobe InDesign or even Microsoft Word, but I doubt it. And I think there could be some XML implies that I have never learn how or know what it is.

There are a number of programs that can create a PDF form. Adobe's Acrobat, LiveCycle, LiveCycle Designer, InDesign. Third-party providers inlcude Open Office Org and Nitro PDF. It is even possible to add form fields to a PS file and let distill them to create the shape. You can watch the Acrobat user community tutorials and seminars on creating forms.

There is the problem where the baggage file. I think that they are referenced as links that obviously won't work on other people's computers. You can submit a feature request to see if Adobe can figure a way to apply it.
