PDF shows fine on computers, empty on mobile devices?

Hey everybody,

Adobe Reader allows us to create order forms for customers to sign (from our own created template).

If we export the files and send them to customers, we see good on computers. However, if the customer chooses to display the PDF said on their mobile device, it shows the form filled in blank.

Any ideas?

P.S. - just an explanation of our process: the shape is a model that we created earlier. We open the template in Adobe Reader, add information and signature of the customer and then save it in a converted PDF file. The converted PDF file is sent to the client (locked version).

Is is normal since a number of PDF viewers on mobile devices have limited to no support of PDF Forms. If they open the form in Adobe Reader, the data field must be visible. If you do not need the fields to be interactive by the recipient, you can flatten in Acrobat (not Reader) before you send them and the data will be visible.

You can flatten a form in Reader (10, 11) if the form is not compatible drive and you use the EchoSign electronic signature functions can flatten form after that an electronic signature is placed.

  • Add the page button in PDF format does not work on the mobile device

    I created a button in my form that generates a new page. This new page has been defined as a model (Named 'New Page') and hidden (page 2). My button is on page 1 and uses a command script to execute a JavaScript script (on the mouse down) what follows is this script:

    var a = this.getTemplate ('new Page');

    a.Spawn ();

    Now, it works fine on my desktop. However, my problem is, I sent this form to myself, so I could fill it out on my phone. All of the s form other functions working perfectly, except the button to generate a page does not work. I am currently using an Android and view the PDF file on the application Acrobat from Adobe.

    Thank you

    Kyle

    I'm not aware of any mobile-based PDF Viewer that supports this method. Mobile versions of Adobe Reader supports a very limited subset of what support versions of office.

  • Are PDF Portfolios dead for mobile devices?

    Can you tell me if Acrobat CDS PDF Portfolios are convenient for viewing on mobile devices, especially for Android and retail?

    I was a big fan of highly customized PDF portfolio in Acrobat 9 and X era.  Now, I'm trying to get plain-vanilia Acrobat DC PDF Portfolios to work in mobile devices, including Android.  It seems futile.

    PDF portfolios don't will NOT be open and display in any popular mobile browser?

    Or is there a way to make that happen?  (I tried 'share links' of Google Drive, OneDrive and DropBox, but rather than consider the PDF Portfolio, it appears a message saying the visitor to download the PDF file to view it on their device.)

    PDF portfolios will be only open and view in Acrobat Reader for Android?

    I am tired of several popular applications for Android PDF Viewer.  None of them could open a PDF portfolio.  Or am I missing something?

    I think I'm spinning my wheels on trying to use this technology once and large (on the desktop for the distribution) and the display on Android devices.  Am I wrong?

    Thank you for your attention and your time.

    Sincerely, Preston

    The description of what makes a PDF portfolio work in a PDF are public and have been for many years. But as far as I know, none of the authors of software has nothing with this info, so portfolio view only happens in Adobe software. Unfortunately, it is up to the authors of all what other software. Now, it is not surprising that portfolios have been ignored for years, because for years the portfolios only we did used Flash. Times change, but it may be too late for the portfolios.

  • PDF for mobile devices

    How can I make my fillable pdf Adobe Acrobat X file accessible by mobile devices? Including the ability to send.

    By a large number of research and testing using devices and different applications. The ability to process a form on a mobile device varies so much because not all mobile devices and applications do not support the form fields in the PDF file.

    And if the form fields are supported, then all the code JavaScript that can be used on a form using a computer will work on the mobile device.

  • How can I share my pdf files from my iPhone to my other devices mobile link?

    I have a large collection of PDF files on my iPhone. I want to view them on my iPad and a desktop computer. I thought clicking on the mobile link on I could login to my account on any device and see all files with the content? What I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance

    Hello

    Mobile link is intended through all computers and devices to access recent files (not folders).

    Get your PDF documents, wherever you are. Adobe Mobile link

    Have you tried Adobe Document Cloud for sharing files and folders?

    Acrobat Reader for iOS, please select "Document Cloud" for the location of the file.

    You can sign up with the same identifier Adobe to access files and folders in the cloud to Document all of your devices and computers.  (Your files and folders are only visible by you in the account).

    Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

  • Legends of the slide show appear to have boxes around them when played back on mobile devices

    Hello... I searched this problem but could not find a reference - apologies if I have not quite use the right search terms and it has already been answered.

    I have problems with a widget slideshow base - seen on a PC (iMac in this case) the captions of images, navigation buttons and the meter have NOT any visible borders (I have not rubbed or filled the container boxes, other than the nav buttons). However, see the slideshow even on an iPad or iPhone, and there seems to be around the buttons of legend, meter and nav boxes. I would have preferred that there no contours of the visible area.

    The problem page can be seen here (remember, fine on a PC, not very well on a mobile device)

    http://mikehiggs.co.UK/musesite/case-studies.html

    There are two slide shows on the page I tried two different widgets - both have the same problem.

    The strange thing is, I used the same method on the slideshow on the homepage at the top of the page and it works fine.

    If anyone can shed some light on this 'problem' I would appreciate it a lot - I tried all I know at this point.

    Thanks for any help.

    Additive...

    If I change the transitions of the slideshow of 'horizontal' to 'fade' the problem goes away. But I prefer the slide show slide.

    Just thought this extra info can help diagnose the problem.

    I believe that this is caused by a bug error rounded in mobile Safari. If you set a feature of width not no white on the legend, or set the background transparent instead of white color, I expect that it will go away.

  • Can a customer with any Adobe online services sign a PDF form sent by Adobe eSign? (Mobile and desktop options)

    Hello:

    I'm trying a service allowing our small company to sign PDF documents in our offices or on our mobile devices. I came across Adobe eSign Services as a mobile solution (since we already have Acrobat Pro) However, because I am fairly new to the Adobe online services, I wonder is a customer with no Adobe eServices (eSign) could sign a PDF file that has been sent by us with Adobe eSign Manager? (especially on mobile devices. For example, if they had CudaSign or DocuSign) we do not want to cause inconvenience to our customers with download a particular application, or create accounts to anywhere just sign one of our documents. Some clarification in this regard would be appreciated.

    Hello TrinityGal,

    By default, it did not signatories to first have an account E-Sign to esign document. The signatories will receive an email containing the link to document and once it is which is clicked, it is opened in a browser to fill and esign.

    Kind regards

    It is possible with JavaScript to control if highlighted field is active. The problem is that it is considered bad form to change the setting of the user preference without letting them know, or at least attempt to restore the settings when the control document closed.

    Here is a code that you can use in a routine at the level of the document that runs when the document is opened:

    Store highlight LENGTH so it can be restored when the document is closed

    and turn off the power

    var RTH = app.runtimeHighlight;

    app.runtimeHighlight = false;

    Then, in the event will be closed, you can restore the original setting:

    Restore the original settings

    app.runtimeHighlight = RTH;
