Penetrating a tablespace of the table again to $ FGA_LOG

Hi all

I look at entering one new tablespace (other than the SYSTEM) of the table of $ FGA_LOG.

This table grew too big and made the SYSTEM tablespace more 13 GB.

I'm on 10.2.0.3.0, I know that there a package to perform this task in 11g, but I can't upgrade for the moment

Thank you very much

Hello

I think that it is not a good idea... This action can cause upgrades of concerning problems or, in some backup/restore scenarios. How to export or copy the contents of FGA_LOG$ in another table, located in a different tablespace? So, after that, you can clean the $ FGA_LOG (truncate) in order to save space in the SYSTEM tablespace:

1. create the table fga_log tablespace in select * from fga_log$;
2 - truncate table fga_log$;

I'm on 10.2.0.3.0, I know that there a package to perform this task in 11g, but I can't upgrade for the moment

Are you talking about the DBMS_AUDIT_MGMT. Procedure SET_AUDIT_TRAIL_LOCATION? If Yes, for more information, take a look at the Note: 72460.1 on the My Oracle Support website (formerly Metalink)... of course if you have a valid account of the ITUC.

See you soon

    Use a while loop with a delay time representing your sampling interval.

    Use is equal to the count Terminal to see if 4, then 4th iteration = 5th sample.

    Use a box structure. The real deal will only run on the 4th iteration.

  • Cannot bring up the Table again after the passage of the pages

    I have three pages in my application. There is one table and they all access. One is the homepage and includes a report. From there, I can click on "New line" and go to a blank form to enter another record. From the homepage, I can also go to a page "Updated a line" to update the information.

    This is the update to the update page that does not work. It loads a blank form.

    The parameters for the extraction process on the update page are:

    Type: Automatic line Fetch
    Sequence: 1
    Process: When loading - after the header
    Enforcement process: once a Page visit (by default)
    Process the message error: unable to fetch the line
    No conditional

    These parameters to produce a blank form. I don't want a blank form. I want the shape to be filled with the lowest ID number in the Table.

    Frustrating thing is, it worked a week ago, but somehow got back to "not the mode of operation."

    Hello

    OK - normally, the user would click on a link on a line in the report on the first page to go to the update page. This link would cross the primary key value of the record they want to put up-to-date.

    If you just click a button, the update page wouldn't know which required record updated. The update page has a process of "search for the line...". "that must have a parameter that identifies the page element that will contain the primary key of the record. It is this value that must be defined by a link.

    I suggest you change your report, click the column attributes tab and click a column that you can use a link and scroll down to the section of the link column. Here, enter the page number of the form was updated, the page element in need of the primary key (in the first 'these elements' SETTING) and the name of the column (in the "with these values" setting - surround the column with # s name, for example, #EMPNO #) that contains the primary key on your report. These settings then build a URL that, when the user clicks on the link, transfer the user to the update page and move into the desired primary key - the process then does the rest to update the record on the screen.

    Oracle stores audit trail records in a single table, "SYS. AUD$ ', being a dictionary database table, it is not supported to change.» However, it is supported to change the settings for storage by default (except INITIAL) in 'SYS. AUD$.

    By changing the 'SYS. AUD$ "storage settings, the table can grow as big as you want, but only within the space of SYSTEM tables. The Oracle8i / Oracle9i Administrator's Guide covers ways to manage this growth in the SYSTEM tablespace, but without the added flexibility provided by moving 'SYS. AUD$ "to a different tablespace.

    The following script allows to move the 'SYS. AUD$ "table out of the storage SYSTEM and the SYS to the user of the SYSTEM (although it could be any other user).

    1. start the database with:

    AUDIT_TRAIL = none

    2. run the following in Sqlplus:
    connect sys /.

    create the table system.aud$
    tablespace
    As select * from aud$;
    create index system.i_aud1 on system.aud$ (sessionid, its$ tid);

    AUD$ and rename aud$ _temp;
    create view aud$ in select * from system.aud$;

    Connect the system.

    grant all on aud$ sys with the option grant.
    Grant delete on aud$ to delete_catalog_role;

    3. restart the database with:

    AUDIT_TRAIL = DB

    4 re-create the views of data for checking dictionary:

    connect sys /.
    @%ORACLE_HOME%/rdbms/admin/cataudit.sql

  • compress the question from the table

    My question is simple:

    If I execute this SQL:
    ALTER TABLE some_table_name MOVE COMPRESS;
    and the table is already compressed, Oracle jump or spend time re - compress?

    Why I ask this is because I have a few nice PL/SQL that loops through all the tables
    in my schema, I have about 1800 tables and it compresses, but it takes a long time, hours
    and I would like to only compress Tables which are not already compressed, so compressed, jump, so
    that's why I ask... try to determine whether or not PL/SQL needs a dry:-)

    To continue the question I found the following:

    (a) have compression enabled for a table does not necessarily mean that the data is compressed. If compression is enabled with the statement:

    ALTER TABLE tablename COMPRESS;

    the existing data in the table remain uncompressed.

    However the execution of the order

    ALTER TABLE tablename MOVE COMPRESS;

    Compress in the existing data in the table and it is caught in time.

    Try to compress an already compressed or partially compressed table is taken on time. Oracle will analyze the data in the table again and try to compress.
    I did a test on a table with half million records already compressed and time was almost the same as the initial compression.

    You can do a quick test on your environment to verify that.

    Sorry for the misinformation, I provided before.

    OK the guru! Your genius has helped me before (see this post... ( Help to return the query results table ) but now I would return null results 0 to the number. Below is the structure of the table (again) and my desired result (new question):

    The structure of the table is:
    Year of sport
    Baseball 10-11
    Football 10-11
    Football 11-12
    Football 11-12
    Football 11-12
    Baseball 11-12

    The result should be sports in each year and should be grouped by year but shown as columns so:
    (GROUP OF the year)
    1 hockey, ice 0, 1, Soccer baseball
    2, 1, Football Soccer 1, Baseball

    The new portion of this question is the "0, Soccer.

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello

    For counties of 0, you must join of a table that has one row per sport.
    If you do in fact have such a table, you can build a game on the fly that will work just as well of results:

    WITH     all_sports     AS
    (
         SELECT DISTINCT  sport
         FROM              t
    )
    ,     sport_year_totals     AS
    (
         SELECT       s.sport
         ,       t.year
         ,       COUNT (t.sport)     AS cnt
         FROM             all_sports  s
         LEFT OUTER JOIN t PARTITION BY (year)
                                          ON  s.sport  = t.sport
         GROUP BY  s.sport
         ,            t.year
    )
    SELECT   year
    ,       LISTAGG ( cnt || ', ' || sport
                , ' '
               ) WITHIN GROUP (ORDER BY sport) AS sports
    FROM      sport_year_totals
    GROUP BY  year
    ORDER BY  year
    ;

    However, you may find it useful to have a table with one line per sport really. In this case, you wouldn't need the first auxiliary request. Simply use your name of the table where I used all_sports.

    I copied the example of data that MichaelS posted in your previous thread {message identifier: = 10388879} below.
    You should always post sample data yourself when you ask a question, especially if everything you have to do is copy and paste from another thread.

    CREATE TABLE t as (
     select 'Baseball' sport, '10-11' year from dual union all
     select 'Football', '10-11' from dual union all
     select 'Football', '11-12' from dual union all
     select 'Football', '11-12' from dual union all
     select 'Soccer', '11-12' from dual union all
     select 'Baseball', '11-12' from dual

    When I go to move table B to replace table A (which will be eventually abandoned), should I raise his stats on table B?

    It's

    (2) table B becomes table A

    I have to raise its stats on table A in step (2)? Is there something else that needs to be done?

    Yes, you must.

    Name of your new table is 'Toys', but this new table is totally different than the old toys. If you need to analyze the table again.

  • Oracle 11g R2, CREATE THE TABLE and QUOTAS

    Hi all
    I need some insight on a strange behavior, that I discovered in Oracle 11 g 2. Don't know if I'm missing something or if I just discovered a security issue with Oracle.

    Oracle Version: 11.2.0.1.0

    The problem is with the CREATE TABLE and the QUOTA on the specific tablespace privilege.

    Please, try this on your system (if you have some free time and care to confirm the "bug").

    Create a user, grant privileges than two, CREATE THE SESSION and CREATE TABLE.

    Grant NO quota on any tablespace.

    Try to create a table on any tablespace (except SYSTEM) and everybody say if it worked or not.

    The oracle documentation provides the following:

    To create a relational table in your own schema, you must have the CREATE TABLE system privilege. To create a table in the schema of another user, you must have the CREATE ANY TABLE system privilege. In addition, the owner of the schema containing the table must have a quota of space on the tablespace contains the table or the UNLIMITED TABLESPACE system privilege.

    [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e17118/statements_7002.htm#SQLRF01402]

    The fact is, so far, on two different instances of Oracle 11 g 2, my users are not limited in the creation of the tables only when they have quotas, but where they want to, except the STRING.

    The behavior correct would be to deny the creation of the table the tablespace where there is no quota, but it does not work.

    My instance of Oracle 10 g behave properly and therefore the creation of the table is denied the tablespace with no quota.

    P.s1 sorry if this a well known "bug/problem/question". I've been ridiculous on a well-known forum for the same question. I don't need to be "filled spoon" as shown on this famous site! I have read the documentation! I googled a lot!

    P.s2 even if the creative work of table on tablespace with no quota, you cannot insert data into it. Yes, big picture, the user cannot not filled space with irrelevant data tables, but it can create thousands of tables...!

    Did I miss something?
    Is there a 'default' option I have to mark to prevent the creation of the table where it shouldn't?
    ? (?)

    As KarK says you should not use SYSTEM tablespace for the user data.

    If you can make after:

    Create new tablespace:

    Go to sqlplus and run (change the name, path, and a size suitable for you. You must have enough disk space for this new tablespace data file.) :

    CREATE TABLESPACE PETIT_FICHIER DATAFILE «TEST_TS_01.dbf» ' TEST_TS'

    SIZE 1512M LOGGING EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO;

    Create a new user:

    Go to sqlplus and run (change the name and the password for you):

    CREATE PROFILE 'TEST_USER' USER 'DEFAULT' IDENTIFIED BY ' * ' DEFAULT TABLESPACE "TEST_TS".

    TABLESPACE QUOTA UNLIMITED ON 'TEST_TS' TEMPORARY 'TEMP' ACCOUNT UNLOCK;

    GRANT 'CONNECT' TO THE 'TEST_USER;

    import of user data (user who has data (in the source database) you want to import) for this new user:

    IMP system/password@tesdb fromuser = = TEST_USER leader touser = myback.dmp log = implog.log

    and if it doesn't always fit you can resize your bigger like that new tablespace (once again if you have enough disk space):

    alter database datafile 'TEST_TS_01.dbf' 2512 M resizing;

    If you need to make several attempts, then rub new user before retry (sqlplus) with

    drop the TEST_USER user cascade;.

    and then recreate it.

  • Total space occupied by the table of tablespace

    Hello

    I'm looking for information find the total space occupied by a table stored in a tablespace. We can consider a scenario in which the table has data present in it, constraints, indexes, LOB columns and free space left on the total, that it has been allocated. I tried two queries, but don't think they give me what I'm looking for.

    Select bytes from WHERE user_segments where nom_segment = "EMPLOYEES";

    SELECT
    lower (owner) as the owner
    lower (table_name) AS table_name
    nom_tablespace
    num_rows
    , blocks * 8/1024 AS size_mb
    pct_free
    compression
    logging
    From all_tables
    Owner WHERE AS UPPER ('HR')
    AND table_name = 'EMPLOYEE '.
    ORDER BY 1, 2;

    Basically, I need to get this information before executing some DML is on the table, after which, I'll check once again how much space is free after the operation. So kind to provide information to customers on space used and released for a table in a tablespace.

    Now how do I go around to find the total space occupied by the table combining the factors mentioned above.

    Thanks in advance.

    Your queries refer to the segment info.

  • Move the table in same tablespace is not reorganize the data

    Hello.

    I am facing a problem that I have not used to have.  First of all, a description of our envorinnement:

    We have a few large tables partitioned and performance optimization, our ETLs use bluk, add notes, parallelism and so on.  This create several holes of unused space in tablespaces/data files as well a kind of leak of space on our drives.

    A complete correction would re-create the tablespaces move everything is of opposes another.  It would be impratical, because there are about 15 who are top of 100 GB; the time and effort to recreate everything is not affordable for the Business.

    Instead, we have a single proc that comes to calculate the actual amount of used space (converted to blocks) and makes a move of all objects above this block_id.  Just after this operation, there is a dynamic shrink based on the new HWM (given that the objects have been moved) on the data file freeing disk space.  As we have a datafile by tablespace and a tablespace by schema, we would like to keep this body, if we make a single movement for objects, like 'ALTER TABLE' | owner: '. ' || nom_segment | "MOVE; "(the complete query works with all types of data such as partitions of table objects, the index partitions and the subpartions).  This will move the object in the same space for the first freespace on the tables and free up space at the end of the file to shrink.  In theory.

    This unique proc used to work properly.  In a 650 GB GB 530 tablespace in use moving about 20 that Go (the amount of data beyond the HWM 530 GB) is simpler than to create a new file/TBS and the displacement of 20 GB is faster than Go 530.

    But suddenly things changed when some TBS refused to be narrowed.  What I found out: the command move doesn't fail, it works very well and Oracle really moves the object.  But for reasons that I don't know, he's not moving it at the beginning of the file, it keeps the object at the end.  So the da calculates the new HWM, but because some objects that were in the tail of the queue, the shrink is done with a very high HWM, if no real space is reclaimed.

    So, the main question: How does the ALTER TABLE FOO MOVE really works?  I thought that it would be always to move the object to the beginning of the file thus reorganize, but I analyzed the last objects that gave me this problem (block_id before and after the move, compared to block_ids empty and everything) and actually, I see that they were moved at the end of the file, although there is enough space to accommodate initially.

    Okay, I think I found the problem.  Before that I just pulled the script as posted, but then I had the good idea to improve its performance with parallelism, so I added:

    ALTER SESSION FORCE PARALLEL QUERY 16 PARALLELS;

    ALTER SESSION FORCE PARALLEL DDL PARALLEL 16;

    ALTER SESSION FORCE PARALLEL DML PARALLEL 16;

    Returning to prallel not running, that I could reuse the freespace on the beginning of the file, and then narrow it down.

    Obviously, each writing data in parallel mode reuse freespace, I just forgot that a TABLE ALTER MOVE is also a data write operation.  I fell a bit ridiculous, caught in the same trap that I was trying hard.

    Thank you all for the comments and advice.

  • Column of type BLOB in own tablespace in partition in the table, tablespace to move

    Hi all

    First off I use Oracle Database 11.2.0.2 on AIX 5.3.

    We have a table is partitioned on a monthly basis.

    In this table, there is a partition (BOTTOM), this lower score is 1.5 TB in size thanks to a BLOB column called (ATTACHMENT).

    The rest of the table is not large, about 30 GB, it's the BLOB column that uses all the space.

    The lower part is in its own default tablespace (DefaultTablespace), the BLOB column in the lower score is also in its own tablespace (TABLESPACE_LOB) - 1.5 to

    I was invited in order to free up space by moving the TABELSPACE_LOB (from the low partition) to a data archive, confirming the data is there and then remove the lower score of the production.

    I do not have enough free space (or time) make an expdp, I think not only its doable with data so much.

    Then to create the table on the database archive 'with' the attachment column.

    Import data only, as I understand that if you use a dump file that has too many columns Oracle he will manage, I hope it will work the other way around.

    Then on the production, make the TABLESPACE_LOB read-only and move it to the new file system.

    It's a little more complicated that a normal gesture of tablespace because of how the table is split.

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    I was thinking about an approach as:

    SWAP PARTITION allows to separate the partition of the table

    • Create a non-partitioned table which is otherwise identical in structure to tablename (nonpart_tablename)
    • ALTER TABLE TableName LOWER WITH nonpart_tablename SWAP PARTITION

    Move the segment of the table at TABLESPACE_LOB, or to a different tablespace on its own. It is, as you say, only 30 GB and I think (but not strongly enough to go forward without testing/validation on a smaller scale) that the displacement of the segment of the table in this way does not disrupt the LOB segment, as long as you don't say MOVE LOB.

    • ALTER TABLE nonpart_tablename MOVE TABLESPACE TABLESPACE_LOB

    Now the TABLESPACE_LOB tablespace is self-contained and you can make it transportable.

  • where are stored physically tablespace, the table structure, package?

    Running Oracle 11 g on Linux.

    My disk parameters are:

    / dev/sda1 (start)
    / dev/sda2 (/)
    / dev/sda3 (/ u01) for Oracle software. Base: / u01/app/oracle
    / dev/sda4 (swap)

    / dev/sdb1 drive ASM for DATA
    / dev/sdc1 disc ASM for DATA
    / dev/sdd1 disc ASM for FRA

    1. where are the tablespace, structure of the table (for example the table name, column name, column type, primarykey keys and index), package, procedure, trigger, and stored PHYSICALLY function? I want to know the location of the path and drive common directory?

    2. when the Fast Recovery Area (FRA) performs the backup task, will be the tablespace, structure of the table (column, type, key, index), package, procedure, trigger and function also supported up to Fast Recovery Area (FRA), in addition to the data files, control files, and redo logs and archived newspapers?

    Thank you

    You must understand the difference and the concept of physical and logical storage Structures storage Structures.

    Probably your database is stored on the file system ASM, using the/dev/sdb1 and/dev/sdc1. Therefore, if your database files is on ASM diskgroup 'DATA' and then all of the objects is here.

    Query V$ DATAFILE, V$ CONTROLFILE, V$ LOGFILE, V$ TEMPFILE

    2. when the Fast Recovery Area (FRA) performs the backup task, will be the tablespace, structure of the table (column, type, key, index), package, procedure, trigger and function also supported up to Fast Recovery Area (FRA), in addition to the data files, control files, and redo logs and archived newspapers?

    FRA is used to contain backups of database then your objects are saved it too.
