personal multimedia player of 500 g.
Hi, my first post.
I have a HP M 9162.UK - A with a 500 g Media Player using 32-bit vista, I also have a Compaq Presario SR 1239 UK with XP home 32 bt.
Can I transfer photos etc from Vista to XP using the media player and how do I go about it.
.
Of course you can. Just find the items that you want to switch from one to the other, strong point place by right clicking and then copy or you can left click on the item and drag it to a folder on the media player. If more than one element needs to be moved, click on mutiple items while holding down the 'Ctrl' key (it will turn them blue) then click on one of the items (isn't now the CTRL key), and then copy. Place the cursor in the folder media player where they will be copied. Do a right click in the folder and then 'paste', the files will be copied to the folder. Move the media to the other computer drive, and then follow steps to place them where they belong on the other computer. It's even easier if the entire folder is moved, simply drag the folder of the media to desktop player the other computer where the place of care desired.

I have a bit of outdated software, it seems, mostly because my last machine 'death', I migrated everything everywhere, however, there were several changes to the operating system, since I bought my last machine and a large part of the software on it is not compatible. The good news is that my old machine is not dead, so I can still use the programs and do the work for which I acquired it. I just have to work on that this is not necessary on this machine, which has need to update (money) and that I just need to keep it as it is. I learned and have read that DivX, I also is not good. I have only, because it was the only media player that would allow me to display some files; QuickTime and realplayer are not. Y at - it a multimedia player safe that I can acquire (preferably free; I have no money) that will allow me to play the .avi and .wmv files? Or is it better to convert them to a format that QuickTime can play, so a converter without danger? Thank you very much.
VLC Player has been my go to Mac/PC for years, it's free, that's for sure, it plays everything I throw at it.

It will make things that QuickTime could ever do for me, or DivX, who always seems to want me to pay for something, I'm not half as sensitive as VLC

Personal media player problem - Windows delayed write failed
I have a 1 TB Personal Media Drive (hd10000x) which does not with my e9120f machine Pavilion Elite running Windows 7. When I try to write to the disk using the dedicated Bay or USB connection, he wrote a small number of files (anywhere from 8-100), then an error "the system cannot find the specified file. In Event Viewer-Windows Logs------system I get thousands of warnings "an error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk6\DR6" and "the system does not have empty data in the transaction log.» Corruption may occur.
This is my second personal media player, I had the same problem with the first, and he returned after spending 90 minutes online with the help of HP trying to diagnose the problem (with a friendly assistance technician yet not very knowledgable). Its best estimate was Norton AntiVirus, but the drive did not work when the machine has been started in Mode safe and AntiVirus software has not loaded.
The drive works fine with my old Dell laptop Windows XP, but not with my brand new HP desktop computer. I think that it must be a driver conflict but can't find anything in the forums or elsewhere online.
Ideas anyone?
.
Who seems to have done the trick - thanks

car multimedia player does not display the titles of the songs as the music advances
iPod nano plays until 2015 Chevrolet media player on the radio, properly displayed and all playlists. But as the songs to change track information does not work. Unless the player on the car is advanced manually and then the current song information is displayed while music plays. When the next song comes on the information does not. Any ideas out there? Restarted the nano and not help.
With modern car audio systems, iPod is just acting as a storage device (as you connect a USB FlashDrive with music files). The iPod is not determinative of the reading; the car audio system is to play music files. So, I think that this problem is related to car audio system, not the iPod.

external personal media player
This behavior occurs with the 2 t HP Extermal Personal Media Drive, connected to a desktop PC, when the PC is turned off?
Drive external hard recognizes the stop and power off?
The external hard drive will recognize later PC startup and turn on automatically?
If the above does not work, is there a problem with leaving the external power drive while the PC is turned off? In this case, is there a problem with the PC recognizes the drive when starting from the PC to the top?
Thank you

Pavilion Elite NY554AA: Multimedia player of optics on Pavilion Elite e9240f
Anyone know where I can find a comparable DVD player to replace one that came with my computer? If it helps the reader is labeled "Compact Disc - Rewritable (Ultra Speed) LightScribe DVD Multi Recorder RDL RW DVD + R DL."
From what I could find on this model number - it indicates that he came with a BluRay player and SuperMulti DVD burner with LightScribe technology. Assuming that the drive mentioned in the post is the second, it would be just a matter of finding a DVD/CD player that responds to your price range. Readers of this nature are reasonable most on any place in the United States. Just an example
http://www.Amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?URL=node%3D1292112011&field-keywords=internal+DVD+drives
The lightscribe function is especially if you used in the past, but above all not necessary.

I have a personal media device GB 160 1600s. When I consult it's disk space, it shows that about half of this space is used, but when I "explore" what's on the disc, no files are listed. Anyone know how I can know what occupies this space? I wonder if I should try it repartitioning. I ran disk Cleanup, defragmented and tested bad sectors. There, all right. I appreciate the help.
Thanks for your help on this. Try as I might, I was not able to boot to the optical drive to use copywipe. But before you try Bootit NG, I decided to try reformatting the disk management window. Which has toured to clear up the used parts of the drive that were not accessible before. I then did a full backup and everything worked fine. Although, I would like to know why I couldn't use copywipe (probable lack of computer savy), we can consider this situation corrected.

Error on blackBerry Smartphones play iTunes from the multimedia player
I use the BB software to sync my music without DRM from iTunes to my Storm but for some reason, when I play the song on the storm and I switch from portrait to landscape view, the song stops and the next is played. I also get a generic error message 'Error play.' It is the second time that I have synced, and it didn't happen the first time. Everyone knows this?

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated. Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

I like to take the video with my Treo phone. It has Windows Mobile 6 Professional and the videos play in media player on the phone. When I try to open the file to support windows on my computer he named with a label of ".3g2" I can't my media player in vista to recognize the files. Help!
HelloWindows Media Player does not support playback of all types of media file available currently. However, Windows Media Player provides support for the most common media file types. The type of file you are trying to play on media player is not supported by the media player. If Windows Media Player does not support the file format you are using, contact the distributor of the file for more information on the availability of a viewer for the file. However, installation of codecs can help you read the file successfully, check for possible solutions in this article and check the result: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316992There are a couple of free video converters available on the Web that you can use to convert the type of current file for the file type compatible multimedia player. Please note that Microsoft has not tested these programs and you use them at your own risk.I hope this helps.Kind regards
