  Hello! If the sim card is old, you might need replacement. A sim card error message that does not resolve with a soft or hard, starting usually indicates a problem with the SIM itself.  Do you know if the sim card is 32 k or 64 k? The only difference between the two (as far as I know), is that the 64 k can automatically detect the network stronger. If I were you, I had to contact my operator to replace the sim card.

  It could be the current SIM card, or it could be the settings of operating system or to the carrier.

  Try going into settings > general > all. After a few seconds you will get a prompt to update if it is available.

  If there isn't, I'll try to do a backup and restore then the device in iTunes to install a new copy of the software, then set it up as a new phone for a day to test it.

  If after you restore the phone again to do, try to get a new SIM card from your operator.

  If it's still doing with a new SIM card, it is material to the phone and you should get it looked at.

  Go to find my iPhone on your pc or another apple device, click on the list of devices

  Delete iPhone list which will remove your Apple, I got what you want to give the iPhone.

I don't have a Micro SIM I want to switch between these phones (so I can choose my "daily driver"), but I am concerned about the effect of swapping phones will have a general user, both in terms of developer level.

  You can't - it is at once, by design. In addition, it is not the best place to put your data... anything beyond name and phone number will be lost. Contacts with several phone numbers will be will roll up upward with multiple entries. According to what is your real goal, there is probably a much better way to accomplish what you need.

  My girlfriend and I bought one to the iPhone in the United States a few weeks ago. We live in the Netherlands, so we asked for the correct model (A1723) and a sim phone so it should work on our carriers. We did not have a simcard nano of our carriers at the time so they have unlocked the phone with a card of sprint (without contract). Now, we're back in the Netherlands and we have tried our new SIM card and we get the "Sim not supported" error. It's almost as if the phone isn't sim for free. We called apple support in the United States and we talked for over an hour, and he could not understand the problem. According to him, the phone has been unlocked.

  We also called our subsidiary of KPN (simyo) carrier and they said everything was ok on their end, the problem is with apple. If we are really stuck here and I don't know what the problem is.
