  • Adding Photo credit

When you add a photo credit to a photo, which is added and how/where is it added? Is the name of the author of the photo used or is the name of used adobe? A watermark is used? A link is used? Thank you!

Really depends on your use for where you put. For example if it's on social media, it goes right on the image. If it's in a book you can simply add it to any other loans you have inside.

Usually just the words 'Adobe Stock' and the Stock Number, or artist name is fine. If it's on the photo just small print at the bottom so it of readable but does not take away from the image.

  • Photo w / caption in newsletter email advice needed

I want to replace a legend-on-jpg method currently used in an electronic newsletter with a legend in html, but don't know much about HTML for email. According to this link , email mktg html must be designed as 10 years ago to work in most e-mail readers, for example by using the tables, forget about semantic html, etc.  I don't know how old is page or advice, but it's a link provided by email publishing service as a guideline, so I put the tips.

Here's a partial page with the existing photo + jpg of the legend (2nd photo) and suddenly I got to replace (1st photo). It's far enough in regards to the alignment and margins. The Red is just to see what happens.

Should I nest photo, credit and the legend in a table to space out the photo of the paragraph? Align the IDK why the paragraph on the right is not top, or how to rinse just the line of credit only.

This configuration/credit/legend should be used throughout the newsletter for different size images, sometimes align to left, sometimes right (photo attached)

How would you do it? Suggestions please. Thank you

You can float your legend to align to the right.

  • Use of customer

Some of my clients need images for their projects and content assets, which include typically:

    -eBooks

    -Press releases

    -Presentations

    -Customer interviews

    -Blogging

    -Social media

    -Computer graphics

    -Newsletters

    -White papers

After reading the use and license terms, I guess I can buy pictures on behalf of my clients - and sell these images as part of a project, for example an eBook - as much as they respect the restrictions and conditions of use. My questions are:

    (1) am I correct to assume that?

    (2) on the photo credit, it is only when you use the image in the articles editorials or credit of social media must be added?

    (3) need me a license for images that is distributed to traditional media, for example with a press release?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Johannes,

You must purchase an extended license.

I was a Subscriber inventory for a few months and have only received a response from mealymouthed to what is a simple question.  I have a site where I create pages of content (or positions) and want to use Adobe stock photos, which I have a license.  It seems that the use of the Web page is correct.  However, I can post to the sites of social media with a link to a new page/post on my Web page, which includes the adobe stock photo.  (With a correct photo credit).  And in particular I can do this with Twitter, Facebook and Google.

BTW: Isn't that more or less what everyone who signed up for the "Stock" thought they would do?  I mean, it wasn't my idea is not to print photos of 'Stock' to create posters for inspiration for my conference room.  I want to use the "big three" social media sites to promote the messages of my Web page. (Which is what Adobe is done through its Twitter account).

The answer I receive this simple question is a link to the contract from Adobe.  Well, I'm a lawyer, and I read the contract.  However, I am not an expert in copyright law.  The terms say you can post on a social media site if this site does not claim exclusive use over the images and messages posted on this social media site.   (Or something like that).  I don't know what the policy is with three large social media sites is.  I don't want to analyze their contracts.  I think someone at Adobe 'Stock' knows the policies in regard to these social media sites and could easily provide a 'yes' or 'no '.  My guess is that the answer is 'no', but not wanting to announce this fact, because only about two people would subscribe to the service, if they knew that at the beginning.

So, just say it.  Don't be passive aggressive and link to the contract.   The license allows for the display of records link to my webpage with pictures 'Stock' on Twitter, Facebook or Google.  My guess is that almost everyone who uses this forum wants a direct response to this question.

Yes.  Hows that for a direct answer? ;-)

Joking aside, if you are simply linking to your blog with the graphics on the site you are very good. If you want to use the image itself on social media simply adds a little 'Adobe Stock' in the lower corner of the image. Doesn't have to be big and awkward.

  • Use of licenses/Questions

    Hello

I am interested in Adobe Stock, however, I'm still not quite clear on the standard license rights and restrictions of use (which I read several times).

If someone could give me concrete answers to the following questions, I would be very happy:

    1. If I acquire the standard of a stock image license for myselfam I allowed to use the same image of stock for multiple projects? Say, use a paper structure photo on different digital drawings of mine.

Note: I understand that I must get another license, if I had to use the same image of stock for a client.

    2. a link (to the Adobe Stock page) for a stock image used on a Web site strictly necessarily in copyright information or is "NameOfAuthor ©" considered sufficient? What is the best practice?

    3. copyright information pass under the image, or should it be written on the image, as in being a part of the image?

    4. assuming that the copyright notice can be put under the image or text separated in front of her, if I use an image of stock in a post on a Web site (like a header image, for example) with the relevant information of the copyright on this same page -

This same (possibly cropped) image can be used as thumbnail for the social media 'actions' without distinct mentions of copyright on the posts 'shared '?

    5. If I use an image - composed of pieces of multiple images of stock of different authors - do I put separate copyright information for each image used on the page/image?

Is it possible to 'group' copyright or - if information is not - how best to do this?

    6. I understand Adobe Stock don't offer no licenses at the present time, however, is it OK if I buy an extended license on Fotolia for an Adobe Stock image I already have a license and already "used"?

I will do my best to answer all your questions. You need to refer to the license agreement for the definitive and final word however.

    1. Yes, as long as the projects are for your personal use, that's OK. If you own several businesses and intend to use the same image for each company, you need a separate license.

    2. a photo credit is required when you use an image for editorial use, like a newspaper or magazine article, or for social media. Use of the web in general does not require a photo credit and a link is no longer needed.

    3. If you use the image in social media, the appropriations must be typed directly on the image at a visible place. If you use the image for an editorial article then having the credit adjacent to the image is sufficient.

    4. you can link to a page on the social media without adding extra credit. If, however, you want to download the image directly on social media as a reference to a link, you need to add the credit on the image.

    5. If the composite is for social media use, so, Yes, a credit for each contributor is required.

    6. Yes, if you use an image from Adobe Stock in a way that is not consistent with the standard license agreement, you must immediately delete the image or license extended to Fotolia assuming that the extended license allows your use.

    I hope this helps.

  • I want to buy 6 images for use in my book on the interim.  Can I do this?

I read that there is no extended license, but on a part of this site it says images are used for book covers.  So, my work for the purchase of standard for small printing license can work less than 5,000?

Yes you can use the in your book to the top for a print run of 500,000 copies. It is also a good idea to include a photo credit as well as all the other credits that you use in the book. If you decide to get extended allowed however, they are available through Fotolia.com for the same images.

And as an off-topic Note: as an actor/Director/stage manager myself, I would be interested in your book. Send me details in private message. ;-)

  • use of the social media of images of adobe

I was wondering what my limits are for the use of photos on facebook. In this paper, I read I can use the images of stock for social media if they are labeled 'social media permitted work' (3.3). However, on the site of adobe stock I can't this information when you browse the images.

  • Stock Image - clarity/use of licenses

    I have a few questions-

    1. can I use stock images Adobe stock in the decision of social media promotions? Ex, I create a flyer with an image-Can I post on my social media channels?

    2. these images can be used on my site?

    3. If I have a monthly package for download/month 10 images, can I use these 10 images on 3-4 customers?

    Please clarify!

Before posting on social media, you need to add the photo on the image credit. If you are scanning a printed flyer you can add text to the analysis. When you use the images in a way as a blog post editorial, the photo credit must be placed adjacent to the image. As to use the images of the products, you need to develop. You may not use the Adobe Stock images in products whose main value is the image. By example..., tee-shirts, mugs, calendars, mouse pads, etc. Again, any use of the images in the social media regardless of origin requires the photo credit be added to the image itself.

    I hope this helps.

  • Keep small size without loss of quality over far during re-registration edited JPG

    Hi all

I have a bunch of pictures of a photographer I need to put a credit. They are all very light (~ 50 k) as they have been saved with JPG compression to only about 900 x 600px.

My problem is that when I run the action to add the credit, the file is saved as a JPG file but the only way to achieve a similar weight is to set the compression level 2, resulting in a massive loss of quality. With a quality to 12 files increase around 200 k! Is it possible that I can keep the size of the original (or similar) file even if I am actually starting with a new image by editing? The photo credit is added on the edge, not bunk.

    Thank you

    Hi mast

50 KB for a 900 x 600 pixels image is on the small side and suggests either a high-compression JPG or even save for Web has been used before they came for you.  200 KB is a file size reasonable for a good quality JPG of this size.  It's one of those situations "it is what it is."   Degree of activity are the images?  I'm guessing that you realize that images of high frequency with a lot of details and small blocks of different color, will not compress nearly as well as something like a little bird in a blue sky, so the specific images, you work on will of course affect the size of the file.

You can get the original files in an uncompressed format?

The file size is critical?  that is, this is for the use of the web, or what?

At the present stage, there is no solution that will maintain the quality and the size of the file.

  • How long the images are licensed for a 10 image by / month subscription? Is it 1 month or permanent? Why is there a button next to my picture saying ' license ' again '?

    Hi Fiona

You don't need an extended license if you use the images on a Web site for purposes of decoration and display.

Yes, a photo credit is required for the mentioned scenarios.

  • GREP: How to target an appearance at the end of the paragraph?

GREP newbie here. Trying to write a GREP expression that target a photo at the end of a caption of the photo credit and apply a character style.

    Text example:

This is the caption of a picture and there is a legend over here (to the left). This is the caption of a picture and there is a legend here. (AP Photo/John Smith)

The GREP expression should target the type of credit inside - and especially - the bracket. The trick: the term should target only a single occurrence at the end of the paragraph.

Suggestions? That's what I have, what does not work. The expression applies the style to each occurrence of the type in parenthasis:

    \s\(.+\)$

    Any help appreciated.

Basically, it prevents several parenthesis pick them up while seartching for a match.

    Ventilation GREP:

    \([^\)]+\)$

    \( Literal opening parenthesis
[^ Exclusion: any character not in this group
        \) Literal closing parenthesis
    ] End Exclusion Group
+ While any character is NOT in this group may occur once or more times; longest possible match will be taken
    \) Literal closing parenthesis
$ End of Paragraph, Story, Footnote, or Cell

    Hope that helps.

  • How can I control type size during the generation of the legends of the links palette?

Using my InDesign CS5 Classroom In A Book, when I ' generate static captions ", the captions appear fine, but they are point 12 type, rather than the modest 6-point type shown in the example in the book. I know that I can go into these blocks and change the size, but the example me to believe son type isn't supposed to get out that big. I'm doing something wrong, or the book just leave out the fact that the blocks must be changed manually? (For those who have the manual, I'm talking about "Add metadata captions to graphic blocks" at page 113). Thanks for any help you may be able to offer.
