I have a very well organized photo library.

This is available on my server, for many people

I want to emphasize at this library of PHOTO enforcement. I don't want to make a copy.

How is that possible?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Recently, I tried to organize my photos in my image directory. I don't know what happened, but in a Flash all my pictures have disappeared. I went looking for them, but I couldn't find even my image directory. I looked in the trash to find anything, so I tried to use the search function. I found some files that I had recently deleted, then when I clicked on them to restore, I received a message that the shortcut refers to a file that has been changed or moved. Does anyone know where they could. I tried to use the program smart undelete but did not find a thing. I'm out of ideas.

  • How can I get the path to the directory of photos on the playbook?

I'm developing a drawing application which includes a backup of the file function.  I want to save the album image in the Directory General views about the playbook. Then, the user must be able to display their picture recorded on an album in the photo directory.  I found all kinds of examples on how to do this for the shared directory app (using blackberry.io.dir.appDirs.shared.camera.path), but I have not found how to get to the general (non - specific app) directory images.  How to this directory using javascript?

Tried it - doesn't work either.  I also tried to create a subdirectory in the shared directory / photos:

    var path = "file:///accounts/1000/shared/photos/JustDraw";

    if (!blackberry.io.dir.exists(path)){
           blackberry.io.dir.createNewDir(path);
       }

    But who doesn't either.

  • "Save under" folder is not pointing to the native file directory (InDesign CC (2014), Mavericks)

I think that it explains the subject well enough.

Since recently the upgrade of CS6 CC, the file > save as behavior has changed.  The default to save directory under would be CS6 native folder of the file.  When I run a file > save as in CC however, Finder points to the folder last InDesign saved to.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem are tremendously appreciated.

Nothing has changed. It's quite normal when opening a file from an earlier version.

  • Movement of the directory and database of one montage to another point

    Hi all

    Good week end...

I have a small request here to ask...

    I have mount point A and B.

A mount point contains the file .profile for a database D1 and ofaroot, the oradata and lost + found for database D2.

Mount point B contains all data in database D1.

The task is to move the entire contents of A to B.

I just need to know what modifications would be required. According to my understanding, I need to make the following changes:

    1. modify the file .profile for D1 and change it to the new mount point.
2 do I need database shutdown D2 before moving on to the other mount point?

    Please comment on my understanding...

    Concerning
    KKukreja

    Hello

+ 1. Edit the file .profile for D1 and change it to the new mount point. +

I do not understand why you want to move the file .profile. Each user of the BONE at the level of the UNIX has a .profile in his own House. You can simply change the default .profile of the user of the OS by using vi commands.

+ 2. Do I need to stop D2 databases before moving on to the other mount point? +

Yes you are, but you will need to provide additional information on the database. You could create a D2 tar file and move to the new D1 mount point and unzip the files.

In the Finder, I tried to copy my photos on a USB directory. I dragged rather than copy it. Now this isn't on my USB but it is not visible in the Finder. When I run iPhoto I can see the pictures, but I can't access it now as single files. How to restore the directory of pictures or find all my photo files.

Move it to where it belongs - in your folder. If you don't know where it is so, look for using Spotlight.

  • How to import photos from iPhoto to the Photos without losing the date structure

    Hey there,

Today, I realized that not all my photos to the Macintosh iPhotos Photos last year. At this point, I'm missing about 700 photos.

Is it possible to merge the iPhoto to the existing photo library library while keeping the structure of date? I tried just to drag some photos but they then imported as if they were taken today.

If possible, I want to keep the date structure so that all the photos that were taken at the same time will remain together.

Export images from iPhoto to the Finder, and then import them to Photos.

    File-> edit

    This trick of the user

    https://discussions.Apple.com/docs/doc-4921

a details of the options in the export dialog.

    Ignore the file date.

There are two types of metadata involved considering the jpeg or other image file.

One is the data file. That's what shows the Finder. That tells you nothing about the content of the file, just the file itself.

The problem with the metadata file is that it is easy to change the file is moved from one place to another or exported, by electronic mail, downloaded, etc.

Photographs have also obtained the Exif and IPTC metadata. The date and time that your camera broken that the photo is saved in the Exif metadata. Without worrying if that said the date of the file, this is the actual time recorded by the camera.

Applications of photo like iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom, Picasa, Photoshop etc. get their date and time of the Exif metadata.

When you export from iPhoto to the new Finder file is created containing your Photo (and its Exif). The file date is reported - exactly - the date of export.

However, does not change the Date of the Photo.

The problem is that the Finder doesn't work with Exif.

Thus, your photo has the correct date and the file does, but these are different things. To perform a sort on the date of the Photo, you will need to use a photo app.

  • Photos added in the download on my PC "iCloud Photos" folder do not appear in iCloud. iCloud download photo library box unticked by itself after a minute.

Photos added in the download on my PC "iCloud Photos" folder do not appear in iCloud. In addition, iCloud library box get unchecked by itself after a minute. I had already added a subdirectory with images in the "Uploads" directory that uses 54 MB and I don't see them going to the cloud.

The problem disappeared after restarting my PC. Thanks to the support of Apple make this stage of growth of fundamental problems.

  • In Photos, I changed the date, title and information on the location of the images of a slide digitizing company.  I want to preserve the custom metadata and the original resolution of 2500 dpi in a file backup, but when I export it loses my metadata chan

Using version 1.3 of Photos, I edited the metadata about the images, I received a business of digitization of slides to insert the first day of the slide, the location, a title and a keyword.  I want to archive these images with the original resolution of 2500 dpi, but when I export original unmodified, it does not preserve information.  When I export by choosing export as XMP IPTC, I can't read the XMP file to see if there are my revisions.

When I export using the 'Export # photo (s)' choice, I can use the previews/tools/Inspector/iptc and see my changes.  But this photo has only 72 dpi.

Is there a way to preserve this modification of metadata information in the original not modified?  Alternatively, this file has XMP I exported the info?  If so, how can I read it?  And that would mean I need to export both the original unmodified and the XMP file to my files from archive?

Don't know what you want - well there is a CIO field in the EXIF fields it is meaningless as DPI is not a setting but the result of a math problem third grade - points by (divided by) inches until you add inches per impression you have no IPR - and when you add inches the DPI for printing are determined by calculating not by any setting

    For more information, see http://www.rideau-info.com/photos/mythdpi.html

A 1200 x 1800 pixels picture printed as a 4'x 6' printing is 300 DPI bit matter what setting the EXIF says

  • Satellite A660 - 07P problem with the pointer of the mouse using the touchpad

I just bought my A660 07P last Thursday, September 15, 10 and I noticed that I had problems with the mouse pointer using the touchpad.

From time to time, the cursor/pointer is locked and seems something like a button up and down.
I assume it's because it's on a mode of waiting, but in this case as every 5 minutes.
When it is locked, it will also change the zoom percentage when the touchpad is struck. It is very not when I'm in the middle of something and I can not move the pointer. In addition, the start is very slow.

BTW, I have not installed any programs or applications. I'm still testing until Friday, otherwise I'll go back to where I bought it.

    Hi mate

    This isn't touchpad problem.
I guess as support for computer laptop MULTI-TOUCH PAD
There are a few additional features supported by touchpad, and I think that you have enabled this while using the touchpad

    The touchpad supports the features:
    _ChiralMotion_
You can scroll vertically and horizontally

    _Pinch Zoom_
This feature provides functionality like the scroll wheel zooming

    _Rotating (chiral spin) _
This provides gestures to rotate the photos and other objects

    _Momentum_
This feature provides a smooth, fast trackball as the movement of the mouse. A quick finger on the touchpad surface can move the sliders in the entire screen.

  • Where the main photos folder (using the Amazon cloud backup)

I use OS 10.9.5 on an older iMac.  Backup with Amazon Cloud stand to point to the folder containing my thousands of pictures.  Could someone tell me please in the appropriate folder? Thank you!

Your original photos? They are listed in a folder within the iphoto library, which, by default, is located in your pictures folder.

Frankly, there is no easy way to do what you want to do without export your images to iphoto first.

    That said, this post

https://earthalbumblog.WordPress.com/2016/01/01/syncing-photos-from-Mac-OS-x-PHO tos to amazon cloud drive.

Describes in detail how to do what you want but it requires trust in the Terminal. Read it carefully. Don't forget he gets only your originals and none of all the extra work you have done - edit, organize and so - in iPhoto.

  • Keywords in Photos: I'm the only one?

I am a heavy user of Photos with 20 000 (non-professional) pictures in my library. I spent hundreds of hours of editing, new date and keywording photos pictures (and iPhotos before that). I had a very rough transition from iPhotos to Photos, lost randomly some images, lost random meta data. I am running the latest version of iOS and were at the Apple store dozens of times trying to address any inconsistencies in my photo library. They tried everything short of the nuclear option of pictures of wiping and re - install new, no back-up, which is probably damaged. This option is not possible for me given I would lose all the work that I gave to this labor of love. At this point, I just hope that someone smarter Apple will address these glitches, so I can save my sanity.

I'm struggling with the loss of functionality in the Photos that I wait patiently for features to be restored (securities transfer of lots, bulk as of a date change, etc.) In the meantime, keywords are sent adjustments. Keywords that I delete do not disappear and appear in searches. I have four key words called '4 star' who all have different pictures in them. I sometimes manually put the different lots '4 stars' key words a single keyword '4 star', but a new keyword is often re-creation. In other words, it's a manual solution sometimes, but only temporary. According to the issue of not really deleting keywords, keywords because duplicate like tribbles makes the problem even worse. I have at least half a dozen keywords in double at some point. Replication problem of keyword seems to be more common with the keywords 'stars' who were previously only stars, but there are many other duplicate keywords.

My question is: does anyone else have these questions, and if so, did you understand any workaround? I am beyond frustrated. I went full-Apple and full-pictures for this project, and can't give up now. Other chronic problems with Photos?

P.S. I have also submitted comments from the Apple but don't hold my breath.

Can you please tell us something about the origin of your photo library?  All my problems with keywords in the Photos had their problem in Aperture and my photo stream.

Your photo library a new library, was born in pictures, with new photos that have never been in another library, or did you migrate your library somewhere.

If your library consists only of new photos, and all the keywords have been affected in the Photos, it should help to use the keywords and click on "Edit keywords".  You can use the edit mode to remove all unused keywords.

But if your library has been migrated from a different library (iPhoto, Aperture) and allowed you to open write the key words in the original images, you're stuck with old advertising keywords, misspellings in them. Photos cannot remove key words written to the original captain of the files.

I used exiftool from the Terminal to remove all the original files of the masters key words and started in Photos.
