  Hello

  I need help with Photoshop CS5.1 v12.1,

  Problem: Every time I insert a gradient, or a picture it comes up with a progress bar that takes forever to load and it used to load in 1 second, but now it takes forever, I looked everywhere but there was no result and I really need help because I'm currently editing a wedding film in a different program , but I also need to do a menu when the DVD is in the DVD player, but I went to photoshop to edit a photo but it happened and I reinstalled but nothing has changed. I tried the change then performance solution but that did nothing. So I need answers ASAP!

  That looks like your machine is incredibly slow, for some reason, or you are working on a document that is much bigger than you think.

  Check the size of the document (dimensions in pixels of resolution and total).

  Also, third party plugins can slow down processing in Photoshop - disable third-party plug-ins you need to test that.

  Hi guys, hope you can bear with my computer knowledge limited here.

  I've had Photoshop CS5 for years now on an old PC sitting in the attic. Thought I would roll back the years and have a round piece with PS, I use to be quite in the graphic design of back in my teens. That PC however is a nightmare to use and is very slow and I was wondering if it would be possible just transfer the files on my current PC to Windows 8? I literally just copied the files on since my current PC's hard drive, but I get a configuration error telling me to uninstall and reinstall the product. Is there something obvious that I'm doing wrong or am I stuck with having to use PS on my old machine? Thanks for the help.

  Hello, I need help, anyone know what to do about a slow slow CS5 photoshop not following orders and unable to read NEF files (camera raw) I don't have serial number, its been a while since I bought it.  and without that it cannot help me.

• Photoshop CS5 stops responding when programs?

  Photoshop CS5 does not respond if I switch to another program (that is to say, acrobat, word, google chrome). Still work menus, but pan, zoom, move, etc. have no effect on the image.  I save and reboot for the program works correctly and it will do again as soon as I move to another window.  I'm not sure that this question would be called (perhaps a refresh error), but does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

  I recently bought a new PC upgrade from XP to Win 7 64 bit. (See the Photo of my new computers plug please. I can't copy/paste of text in this forum.)

  This PC was bought to replace one of my XP machines who died after 6-7 years of service 24/7, and I need something quick and inexpensive to replace.

  I had Photoshop CS2 and Illustrator CS2 on it and moved in my Win 7 64 bit machine. Then, I upgraded Photoshop and Illustrator, Illustrator CS5, and Photoshop to Photoshop CS5 Extended.

  I've always loved and used Nvidia video cards, and I want to update this new PC with one, because there just the integrated graphics card Intel HD. This Win7 machine has plenty of room to expand and add upgrades.

  I know I also have to upgrade from OEM 300 watt power. Planning on a good high quality PS 650 Watt modular or more if necessary.

  This PC Win7 will be regulated to surf the web in General and very light game once I build my graphic PC dedicated later on this year.

  So I would get a decent Nvidia card most likely in the GeForce line for this machine which allows the full use of all of Photoshop CS5 Extended and illustrator CS5.

  In the price range of $150.00 - $200.00. I was looking at it on Amazon.

  My thoughts on purchasing a good card now for a future Build are, it is not very wise to me.

  This store bought PC will run my Photoshop CS5 CS5 Extended/Illustrator for about a year, I would say that perhaps a little earlier, maybe not tho.

  So buying a good or decent Nvidia Quadro card now, will not be a year from now, or at least the price will probably have dropped some of todays price for it.

  So I am in need of a mid range all around Nvidia card most likely a GeForce card.

  I want to run Photoshop and everything is pretty decent features without any gray areas in the Performance preference settings.

  I have to go to the sea on this PC, just get all that photoshop has to offer, all that this is a bit slower than a $2,000.00 Quadro card for now.

  I'm a Nvidia guy completely, just like I'm a guy of Intel CPU.

  I already bought the new PC Tower for the new construction, a CoolerMaster 690 II Advanced Nvidia Edition.

  Save money for all the other stuff and do not start buying all until I can buy it at the time. So the price of some items, I booked will be either down or replaced with parts updated in a year.

  The best I7 out today, with half the cost 8 months to a year from now, know what I mean.

  Photoshop is just a hobby relaxing for me, I want to just that this PC running decent without breaking the Bank at the moment. A lot of break the Bank will be delivered with the dedicated machine.

• I can't update to Photoshop CS5

  Hello, I installed Photoshop CS5 in Lion some time ago and I always wondered why the Liquify tool worked so hard. Recently, I decided to google for updates or something, and in fact I read the update it could solve this problem, among others. I am currently using version 12.1, and I wanted to update to 12.4 and then check the other updates. If I try to update via Photoshop, Adobe Application Manager says there is no update available, and if I try to do it manually, it says that the update is not applicable. I don't know what is happening! I tried to do this thing in terminal sudo command, I am absolutely sure that the update is for my version of PS, I don't know what is happening. I'd appreciate your help!

  12.1 is the latest version of Photoshop. There is no version 12.4. There's a 12.0.4 version which is the same as 12.1 with respect to most (except 12.1 allows the subscription license)

• Save for Web and devices accidents Photoshop CS5

  I work with Photoshop CS5 on a MacBook Pro with 4 MB of RAM in Mac OS 10.5.8. I upgraded from CS3, a month ago. I tried the RGB to 8-16 and 32 bit switching modes, but every time I have "save to the Web and devices ' my Photoshop crashes. It does not crash in the display window. It crashes when I choose to save. Can I get the spinning beachball and a slow fall. There is no error message, and it happens every time. I tried to delete the preferences. I found somehow there was some left behind CS3 prefs. But deleting prefs has not changed the situation. I have a lot of RAM, so I don't think that it is a memory problem. And there is no other behaviors in my system or with Photoshop.

  Did you send the accident report in Adobe?   If you can give me the user GUID from the bottom of the crash report, or the e-mail address entered when sending in - so I should be able to find it.

• Dell Inspiron 15R and Photoshop CS5?

  Currently looking to buy a DELL inspiron 15R for my 16 year old daughter.  She is interested in graphic design and will be studying it next year so also get Photoshop CS5.

  Specs I'm looking at are:
  Intel® Core™ i3 - 370 M processor (2. 4 Ghz, 4Threads, 3 MB cache)
  15.6 wide screen brilliant HD WLED with TrueLife™ (1366 x 768)
  4 GB OF RAM
  500 GB HDD 7200 RPM
  Intel® HD graphics card

  This laptop has the necessary "grunt" for photoshop.  It exceeds the system requirements for photoshop CS5. but the specs are usually slower than the reality.

  Should I update the chip of an i5?  Intel Core i5 460M (2.53 GHz/3 MB cache)

  or if I should change the video card to an ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5650 - 1 GB dedicated card option?

  From my personal experience, I wouldn't go to an integrated card. This is one of the most important components for Photoshop, so invest in a decent graphics card (ATI or NVidia). It doesn't have to be an exepensive really one - I've been using ATI Radeon with 256 MB of RAM on my Dell Studio since nearly two years and it still rocks! (even when I'm working with Ps CS5 Extended 3D).

  I also invest in more RAM (it could be added easily - additional 4 GB, I bought because my Studio came with 3 GB).

  I wouldn't worry about the processor - I'm on Intel Core 2 Duo - and it works very very well, it's very fast which is very important because I'm training Photoshop.

  I downloaded (offline) and installed a trial of Photoshop CS5 extended 30 days.

  I can't update online (I live in the country on a slow connection)

  I downloaded the updates to work for Photoshop CS5 12.01 & Camera Raw 6.2

  When I run updates (both give give error messages) cannot install the update to Photoshop 12.01. Has detected another version of update running.

  Someone knows how to fix this?

  Sorry for the inconvenience. Please try this.

  1) go to start > settings > Control Panel (Control Panel opens)

  (2) double click the Administrative Tools icon. (Opening Administrative Tools folder)

  3) double-click the Services icon (Services panels opens).

  (4) on the right side of the Services Panel is a list of the services available for the computer, ordered alphabetically.

  (5) scroll down to the "Workstation" service (probably the last second of the list).

  (6) right-click and "Start" the service.

  (7) now install your updates.

• Photoshop CS5 lock

  I had Photoshop CS5 installed and working on my computer because it is out.

  Today, it runs very slowly and crashes for 15-30 seconds at a time. When I check with the Windows Task Manager, I see the status as "not responding". When I check the execution in the Windows Task Manager, I see the CU use only 0% or 1%.

  I deleted the Adobe Photoshop settings file several times. I cut and restarted the computer and Photoshop several times.

  I can't do any work with him this operating mode. Can someone give me a clue as to what may cause this problem?

  Edit: A thorough check shows that the delay is very long to open the window of action and more if I try to take any action. Whenever I click to open the window of action or to perform an action, there's about a 30-40 second delay until something happens. If I close the window of action I can continue to work with fewer delays.

  Do you have mapped to drive letters?

  If so, try to turn them on or munmap them and see if the problem of slow fade.

  If that's the problem, in the long run you can access by using UNC names (for example, if you drive \\SERVER\SHARE pointed W: you could just open windows Explorer, etc. directly using \\SERVER\SHARE ).

  I noticed my external MyBook USB drive backup turns sometimes when I use Photoshop and he very probably slow things down while the system waits so he can get to speed.  However which takes 4 or 5 seconds so I just ignore it.  It would be nice to understand why Photoshop accesses this drive well.  I certainly have not configured as zero.

  My quicktime player appears invisible/missing when I try to make GIFs in Photoshop cs5. I can drag the autour in the black box, but I can't use SHIFT + arrow. The volume is displayed when I click on the area where it suppose to be. I really need to know how to solve this problem in order to continue to make gifs.

  Please use the Apple Support communities to post your question. It looks like your QuickTime player does not launch as an editing application in your Photoshop CS5. You can try to uninstall and reinstall the QuickTime application.

  Uninstall of QuickTime 7 for Windows

  Download QuickTime 7.7.9 for Windows

  This should have your QuickTime application works with your Photoshop as it should. Making GIF happy!

  This isn't really a question of windows.

  but basically, you go to adobe.com and select in their page web downloads.  Windows will ask you to save or run it.  but choose to save it, and then select a location on disk where you found it after it is downloaded to the hard drive.

  However, my suggestion is that you should be aware that such a comprehensive program by adobe will require a lot of time and disk space.  your internet connection must be continuous for a long period of time and without interruption.

  So, I have the following suggestions that will help you prepare your system.

  First, run / run a disk check, and then a Defrag.  to do this, open Explorer, right-click on the drive letter and select Properties.  Then go the Tools tab to run the tools mentioned.

  Second, to examine the conditions necessary for download on adobe.com.  ensure that your have enough disk space to store the download.

  • don't forget to add your total amount of disc space you have and the size of the download.

  • in other words, if after you have downloaded and unzipped the file you then less than 20% free space on the disk, then you should not proceed with the installation because the disk may crash or file system becomes unstable.

  Third, if all the above is determined to be ok, so my next suggestion is to install a freeware call "free download manager".

  • This program is more robust and offers more options for downloading programs.   If she has a number of features, you can enable and disable and customize, the main reason I mean freeware is its ability to "pause" and "resume" downloads.
  • so if you need to turn off your computer while the download is in progress, you can press the 'pause' and turn your computer off.
