  I am a user of photoshop 7.

  I downloaded (offline) and installed a trial of Photoshop CS5 extended 30 days.

  I can't update online (I live in the country on a slow connection)

  I downloaded the updates to work for Photoshop CS5 12.01 & Camera Raw 6.2

  When I run updates (both give give error messages) cannot install the update to Photoshop 12.01. Has detected another version of update running.

  Someone knows how to fix this?

  Sorry for the inconvenience. Please try this.

  1) go to start > settings > Control Panel (Control Panel opens)

  (2) double click the Administrative Tools icon. (Opening Administrative Tools folder)

  3) double-click the Services icon (Services panels opens).

  (4) on the right side of the Services Panel is a list of the services available for the computer, ordered alphabetically.

  (5) scroll down to the "Workstation" service (probably the last second of the list).

  (6) right-click and "Start" the service.

  (7) now install your updates.

  Let us know if it worked.

  I PS CS5 for Mac and have checked that my serial number is registered with Adobe.  When I try to update, an update that is available is indicated, but after the download, the following message appears.

  "Photoshop 12.0.4 update for Photoshop CS5

  There was an error downloading this update. Quit and try again later. »

  A similar message for the bridge, etc.

  I tried several times with the same result.  "When I click on 'customer support' at the bottom of the page I am directed to a page called".

  Upgrade error: "this serial number is not for a product calling it".

  However, the serial number is the one that is registered on my Adobe CS5

  How can I download and install the update indicated the CS5?

  Hi, I have a registered copy of Photoshop CS5. I try to get updates from Adobe because CS5 does not handle the RAW files from my Canon T3i.

  I think the mistake is a serial number related error. I have already installed the CS5 on my old laptop. Should I uninstall so that there are no problems on my new laptop?

  On your Canon 70 d raws. They have need of Adobe Camera Raw 8.2 tends only in Photoshop CS6

  so, in order to open them in CS5, you convert your Camera Raw 70 d of files to DNG and 6.7 ACR will open.

  Creative suite Adobe CS 5 is a very old software and the operating system you are using is the most recent, so there may be compatibility issues that adobe has not tested these applications on newer operating systems.

  I have a new computer with windows 8.  I went to my account and downloaded cs3 and installed. Then I tried to download and install my cs5 update and it will not be installed.  She will unpack the files, but will not be at the software level. I'm guessing it may have something to do with "install as Administrator" irritation of windows 8, but I can't figure out how to make this facility as is 2 files with a downloader.  For cs3 I just save on my drive, then a click right and choose 'run as administrator '.
