  Photoshop CS6 keep date with updates.  Unfortunately, I am only a heavy user of the program about 2 X per year.  So it was a surprise for me to go to the toolbar and be unable to access any tool except that which is showing.  The small triangle next to the tool does not display the list of alternative tools.  If someone has encountered this?  I can't find anything in the Forum that shows a solution and a final settlement.  I've found a workaround, but I want to this problem.  The workaround is to print the shortcuts to the tools and use them.  For example, SHIFT L, performs a cycle Lasso tools so that each of the icons appear in the toolbar. Maj O let the burn, dodge and sponge tools; etc.  To watch the shortcuts go to change shortcuts - keyboard shortcuts - for tools.

  If other tools is displayed, try right-clicking on the tools with the seat of small triangles. Also try resetting your Photoshop tools to see the beginning of the delayed pop-up list works again.  If this is not the case, try resetting your Photoshop preferences.

• Photoshop CS6 problems - shortcuts are stuck! Lasso does not work!

  Hello! I'm a Mac with a Cintiq 12WX Tablet user, and I just upgraded to Photoshop CS6. I use it mainly for the art, but I met some problems that have really interrupted my work flow. Much time functions, some seem to do not work or get stuck. Here are my problems specifically:

  1. cancel my shortcut is set to command + Z. Sometimes it works fine, but most of the time I keep hitting the command and nothing happens! So if I want to delete a brush stroke, I usually use multiples with my stylus and take several passes to get to undo to work. Frustrating!

  2 the lasso tool works sometimes, but much of the time he selects no matter what. So, I have to repeat the race until he does not select.

  3 sometimes, keyboard shortcuts do not work! And even if a tool is selected, I can't do anything with it!

  These problems are all completely random, I have no idea what triggers them. I read other people having similar problems, but I still have to find a solution. Nothing like this has happened in CS5. Someone knows how to help me? I'm making me live with art and these problems are really me slowed down. Thank you!

  What Version of OS are you using?

  Looks like you're on Mac OS, have you installed the WhiteWindowWorkaround plugin to avoid known bugs of MacOS?

  If it does not, please press the SHIFT key and then launch Photoshop, to ignore the third party Plugin.

  installation of the cc desktop application will not affect your cs6, unfortunately.

  your ps cs6 perpetually licensed will be converted into a subscription cs6 cc.  There is still work as well as your programs of cc and there will be no problems unless and until that you cancel your subscription of the cc.  When you do that, you're cs6 will stop working because he misses, you have a perpetual license.  you will need to uninstall your cs6 who thinks that his subscription and reinstall cs6 using your serial number during the installation to perpetually, license again.
