  I bought a new Macbook Pro and using photoshop cs6 extended, but 3D is disabled. The only thing that has highlighted under the 3D menu is "more happy."   I pay tithing Adobe CC but also keep a copy of the CS6 installed.

  I need to use the old 32-bit version of Photoshop at times.

  The update constantly fails to install the CS6 updates, manually install the updates fails and the program of uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't work anymore (Adobe another inspired waste of time keen: it would be the rare long-term user who can't quote a similar experience).

  When I try to update from the show, I get the error message that an update is not possible and that I should install Adobe Application Manager. When I try, I get the error message depending on whether I should install Adobe Support Advisior. That Proramm is no longer supported.

  Then I load the files to update from the Adobe website. After having unpacked the file, I started the AdobePatchInstaller.exe. The following error message is the same as at the beginning.

  I did a new install of Adobe CS6 and installed in a folder named Adobe Photoshop CS6.

  No idea what else I can do to get the latest version of CS6?

• CS6 Update problems persist

  Update since in my copy of Photoshop CS6 (13.0.0) no longer works.  Nothing happens if I click on it.  I downloaded the zip file to manually install updates (13.0.1.1; 1.2; and 1.3), but the program Adobe PatchInstaller does nothing when I double click on it.

  What in the world is happening?  I have LR 5.3 w / ACR 8.3 work but she now complains if I try to edit in CS6, because versions of ACR do not match.  Is this a conspiracy somehow get me out of the cs6 independent and on the CC license?  I must say that I'm still not interested.  I paid for this version and that's all I really need.  I want it to work.

  The problem is now solved with installation of the CC AAM.  I had been reluctant to do before because it seemed to be something intended only for users CC.  I was wrong.  Once it was on my machine the put function since CS6 help worked like a charm.

  Have you ever installed a Creative Suite 6 as CS6 Design Standard, Design and Web Premium CS6, Master Collection CS6 etc.?

  If you have one of these suites installed on your computer, then just run the uninstall program and uninstall that because all these above mentioned suites have included photoshop.

  I solved my problem. For others, the solution is to run the AAM in administrator mode. Duh!

  Now have a PS to 13.12 version.
