  When I publish Muse, I always get the error:

  "An unexpected response to the PHP application. PHP cannot be configured correctly on your web server. Contact your Web host or Web site administrator on how to configure the PHP support.

  
  What does that mean? How can I solve this problem? I use Apollo to host my site.

  Basically, the problem is what the message exactly says. PHP is not configured on the server and communicate with your host on how to put in place. There is a problem with your host not Muse. You need to communicate with them.

  How can I include the file locations so I can't copy my .php files in each subfolder and it then displays the content?

  It sounds as if you're confused by the terms "relative path" and "relative to the site root path.

  What you use initially is a path (or link) from the root of the site. They begin with a forward slash and start looking for the top-level of the site file. It is in your case, C:\wamp\www.

  Include PHP commands cannot use this type of path. Instead, you must use a path compared to the current document.

  Depending on your error message, the current document is located at C:\wamp\www\products\VTL\KTC9-12f_files\sheet001.php.

  To find C:\wamp\ www\headnav.php, the relative path must be three levels to find the file. Each level is represented by... /.

  So, to arrive at an appropriate level, the include command should look like this:

  include "... /.." /.. headnav.php';

  For files at different levels of your site, you need to adjust the relative path accordingly.

  The c:\ and the http://localhost you enter at the beginning is for the development, the definition you do for HTTPService is important, you must use root-relative paths, or if you want, you can do a hard http://www.yourdomain.com/directoryname

  I have a Muse configuration on a digital server of the ocean and who currently receive: /scripts/form_check.php

  • misconfigured mail (RED)
  • Configuration of SQL (RED) problem

  Please could you give me the next steps in sorting these errors - thank you

  For forms Muse requires PHP 4.1 with sendMail PHP configured, which means a mailer running on the server.

  For synchronized text, Muse requires PHP 5.1.

• Test PHP site does not work

  I did this tutorial http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setting_up_php.html listed in the FAQ of the forum page.

  I followed the instructions:

  * MAMP installed and configured on my Mac OS X.

  * Make sure that the pre-installed Apache web server wasn't already on my computer.

  * Set up a PHP site in Dreamweaver.

  * Check that everything had been set up properly by creating a PHP page. I used the script <? PHP phpinfo();? > so that my Web page just displays the PHP configuration information.

  When I clicked on "Live View" in Dreamweaver to display my Web page it was nothing, just a white screen.

  I Redid the tutorial just to make sure I don't have any errors, but still I get only a blank page.

• Contact form does not work

  I just uploaded my Muse site at gate.com to host and everything works well except the contact page.  From what I see on the forum, it seems to be a common problem.  Does anyone have experience working with gate.com?  I contacted them and they keep telling me that their php configurations seem to be right.  I don't know anything about the code or html (so the Muse), but I get this error message from Muse when I download (warning, an unexpected response to the PHP application.  PHP cannot be configured correctly on your web server.  Contact your Web host or Web site administrator on how to configure the PHP support). 

  I tried to use the suggestion of Adobes to go to http;//my-site.com/scripts/form_check.php to give gate.com of diagnostic aid, but all I get is this message (NOT FOUND the requested URL/scripts/form_check.php was not found on this server).

  I spent a lot of time trying to get this fixed and can't seem to get anywhere.  Can anyone offer some suggestions?

  I host with GoDaddy and I get this same error whenever I download. The forms are always good work.

  I noticed that the Yahoo email addresses don't work with forms of the good Muse, so I recommend that my clients use different emails.

  Apex is a very good product, however is not a replacement for forms.  It can be used to replace Oracle Forms, but he will rewrite a complete application for most.  It will have benefits and drawback compared to Oracle Forms.  Oracle ADF tends to be a better match for Oracle Forms solutions.  That said, why did you choose to completely rewrite your old application Forms investment of 20 year?  Why not upgrade to forms the latest version which is 11.1.2.2.  With this new version, you can easily integrate with other product (Oracle and non-Oracle), take advantage of many new features and much more.  The main advantage for you (your organization), it's that you won't need to completely rewrite the code of your application.  It is quite simple to form 6 to 11.  Some minor code changes peut prove necessary, but most of the time you can move at will 11 version very little effort in most cases.  Many customers have upgraded to the latest version without changing code at all.

  For these last months, I worked on a PHP/NuSoap management system that uses the webservices API. Things have been works well if far... can I get a list of the active images, perform tasks of power on images, clone... etc... etc... etc...

  Recently I've been going crazy with a problem with the CustomizeVM_Task. I suppose there could be requests malformed somewhere along the way, but my code is simply get the VirtualMachineCloneSpec by name, assigning the CustomizationSpec to a soap message and send it with a virtual machine for customization. However, the task will be error with the message = > 'a specified parameter was not correct.   "nicsettings: adapt: IP.

  This cannot be the case that I use the same exact specification in client virtual sites and cloning w / the technique works very well.

  Does anyone have any suggestions? I might post code added here as well.

  Yes, the VMware SDK toolboxes are aware when they serialize a subclass entity (if it is a subclass, it defines the type attribute so SDK service knows what child data structure receipt.  I have seen this problem with modules Python and PHP, SOAP, who have no knowledge of the object hierarchy in the model VIM SDK.

  Regarding the dnsServerList, the syntax is out of that wants to see the SDK.  I do not think that the question takes care of xsd: String, that probably is not necessary even in the XML syntax. I think she'd wait as the following format (but I don't have a PHP configuration to check at the moment):

  You may be able to create an array of soapvals (a soapval for each dns address).  Basically, you want to have the tag appropriate to the data (in this case dnsServerList ).  I suspect that you will have this problem even for other types of table when you serialize your XML query.

• How to install (or check that I have) gd library

  I read another post on this, but didn't know how to check if I have the GD library. I want the library to work on an image that needs the GD library scenario.

  I am on a Mac and have MAMP installed 1.9.4.

  I am hesitant to install the PHP module to http://www.Entropy.ch/Software/MacOSX/php/ because I don't want to screw up anything. (My original problem with MAMP, it was that I installed additional stuff, not knowing what it was...)

  Let´s first check if the GD library is enabled on your local server:

  1. create a new * white * PHP file, add the line

  .. here and store this file (example: info.php) inside the "htdocs" MAMP

  2. open "info.php" with your browser (should be "http://localhost/info.php" I guess)

  3. you should now see a page that shows your current including compilation options and active PHP configuration settings extensions. I m attaching a screenshot that shows what you should get to see this page in case the GD library is enabled.

• restricting access a page...

  I followed a tutorial for Dreamweaver restrict access to a page on my site that will contain sensitive data. I have a login form using the login server behavior. It works very well - to direct me to the page appropriate for successful and failed logons. I have the connected mySql database and uses php.

  The next step, limiting access to a page does not work. I select the html page, add the server behavior in DW, select username password. He created the php page. Update is made to the login page for now toward the restricted php page, but even on a successful login, I am sent to the login page failed. I looked on several published Adobe articles on this and I am confident, that I followed the steps.

  Is there a php configuration setting required on my server? or is there a step I'm missing in dreamweaver? anyone with some insight on where to seek a solution, your help is greatly apprecaited.

  Read what you just wrote. It is not sensible. If the connection is successful, you will be sent to the page successfully. The fact that you are sent to the page failure means that the connection has failed.

  What you need to do is to find out why the connection fails. No doubt you are convinced that the username and password are correct, that's why you think that the connection was successful. Because it worked without limiting access to Page Server behavior, it sounds as if there is no problem with the database connection or the login user server behavior.

  The most likely cause is that the session variables are not stored. Check your PHP configuration by viewing the output of the phpinfo() function. Scroll the page to the session section near the bottom. Make sure that the session support is enabled. Also, check the value of the session.save_path. The record that there are listed there?

  Another thing to check is the display_errors value in the central section of the configuration of PHP page. Make sure that it is. There could be a problem with the headers have already been sent (see http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/505/cpsid_50572.html for an explanation).

• By getting only the base filename, not full path to the file upload form

  A good idea is to read the PHP manual. As explained in the next page, the maximum size of the downloads is controlled by the PHP configuration directives: http://docs.php.net/manual/en/features.file-upload.common-pitfalls.php. Normally, the maximum size of an individual file is 2 MB, and the maximum total value is 8 MB. If you are on shared hosting, I doubt that if the hosting company will be willing to change the configuration directives to allow 100 MB mail, but you can always ask.

• Test server for Site Dynamics w/Leopard

  I'm trying to set up a PHP / site Spry using a Mac running OS X Leopard operating system. I'm using a PHP book that is very useful, but it has been written using Tiger and Leopard eliminated the Netinfo Manager. I had to change many 'hidden files' and use the Terminal & BBEdit to edit files and create any virtualhosts.
  
  I have the latest version of PHP installed (10.5 x has integrated Apache, but it needs to be changed). I am in communication with my ISP, but I can't get past the error messages (I had to modify "php.ini" to report all errors) telling me that my definition of site for the local test server is incorrectly set up. I tried to use the root of the server computer, the folder from the site in the folder of the user and virtual hosting.
  
  I am told that two files in my folder of the virtual server, which resides in my folder user with the extension ".php" are not executed by the testing server OR this folder is not mapped with the URL on the testing server. He asks me to verify that the URL prefix corresponds to the root of my site.
  
  That's what he said when I use virtualhost; I get a similar message when I use the other two test local server configuration mentioned above. I followed the instructions in the book with a lot of attention, and I'm afraid that I made a mistake in some of the editing I've done for hidden files.
  
  Does anyone know do this with a Mac running the latest version of Leopard?
  
  Configuration of local test for Leopard servers is something that a lot of people talk on the web. I have read of many methods of creating and deleting accounts and virtual hosts. Perhaps my problem is that I tried the advice of many people who have experienced this problem with how Apple withdrew the Netinfo Manager when leopard is released. The need to modify the httpd.conf file is in most of these suugestions.
  
  The thing that scares me is, is that I was told to type http://localhost/ and see if he showed me a screen showing that the Apache web server is running. This works.

  I use 10.5.2 and the latest version of PHP / Apache and Dreamweaver CS3.

  The space in the name of the folder of two words was not only a problem; the fact that I do not name the folder 'egdwcs3' the biggest problem. As soon as I renamed the folder 'egdwcs3' it became a match for what I had called in the file/private/etc/hosts as localhost (127.0.0.1 egdwcs3).

  When you told me told to rename the egdwcs3 folder I have (at the beginning) renamed Essential_Guide and, of course, always gave me error messages. Then it struck me that I did follow your advice 'to a T!

  I wasn't getting what has been defined as the host should be identical to the name of the folder in the root of the server. Somewhere along the line, I saved a file in this folder wrongly named "egdwcs3.php" and I was looking at the files in Chapter 4 of the examples for the book uploaded folder files and I noticed there was no classified named 'egdwcs3.php' - one mentioned "datetest.php" that was when I had my Epiphany!

  Now when I look at the file datetest.php with the button data direct I see today!
