  I need to insert some date fields in a table called CALENDAR_PERIOD.

  I have to increment above values up to the year 2025. I don't know how to write SQL and increment of these values.

  Ex: My next value should insert: 05/11/2015 2014 11/05/14 WED like that I need to insert data until 12 31, 2025.

• Challenges using dynamic SQL for data quality tests

  Background:
  
  I'm developing a data quality, mechanism, on Oracle 11 g, which uses five blocks of PL/SQL by test test script:
  < li > two to supervise the event test by inserting a record in this regard in a fact table and update after the test with the result of the counts;
  table < li > two to create an image "should be" of the tested data set and store it in a scene.
  < li > and the remaining block to perform the analysis by selecting a union of the staging table data and the data "such what" of the target table, abandoning all matching files so that only incompatibilities (errors) remain and store this information in a results table, labeled with either recording source "should be" ("should be") or target ("such what").
  
  I intend to do this pilot by the data, so that each block is stored as a value in an array of scripts, associated with one or more test scripts through the record key values and pulled in a SQL statement execution by a stored procedure in a package called by Informatica Oracle dynamic. In this way, a variety of data quality tests can be programmed as automated controls that work every night and trigger alerts if problems are detected.
  
  I have two challenges:
  < li > PL/SQL blocks that create the DataSet "should be" can be very long, and I learned through Discussion Forums OTN size maximum of 32767 K for a string of PL/SQL variable cannot be large enough to fit the entire block, and the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE statement accepts not the CLOB.
  < li > if there is no anomaly, the trick of COUNT () ON the PARTITION that I use to get the counts of subquery won't work, because the analysis block everything is an INSERT INTO < i > < /i > table (column1, Column2, etc.) SELECT (< i > < /i > comparison query) statement, to avoid that my duty to hit the table target several times. My approach to this is driven by performance problems.
  
  First question: can I I EXECUTE IMMEDIATE nest, so that the SQL block running offers another EXECUTE IMMEDIATE statement that calls another block of SQL? This would solve my problem first.
  Second question: what is the way most effective to get the record account of subqueries in an INSERT INTO (SELECT) statement? I feel I'm too close the code to see the obvious answer here.

  I am trying to load data into essbase through the ODI interface however module "IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (data)".

  Whenever data gets overwritten, how I accumulate this data during loading. As it is quite difficult for me to summarize the data, then load.

• ODI - SQL for Hyperion Essbase data loading

  We have created a 'vision' in SQL Server that contains our data.  The view currently has every year and periods of Jan 2011 to present.  Each period is about 300 000 records.  I want to only load one period at a time.  For example may 2013.  Currently we use ODBC through a rule of data loading, but the customer wants to use ODI to be compatible with the versions of dimension metadata.  Here's the SQL on the view that works very well.   Is there a way I can run this SQL in the ODI Interface so it pulls only what I declare in the Where clause?  If yes where can I do it?

  Simply use the following KM to load data - IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA) - in an ODI interface that has the view that you created the Source model. You can add filters to the source which are dynamically by ODI variables to create the Where clause based on the month and year. Make sure you only specify a rule of load method to load the data into the KM

• SQL for SQL Server 2008 Developer Data Modeler

  I am not able to connect to my SQL Server 2008 since the SQL Developer Data Modeler. Although I jtds - 1.2.jar my machine and I can connect SQL server through the SQL Developer, but still I am not able to connect through the Data Modeler. I need to rethink and to generate the data model for some existing patterns.
  
  Here's what I'm following: -.
  
  File Data-> shape-> import-> data dictionary-> add-> new JDBC, ODBC Bridge connection-> other third-party driver
  
  now when I give driver and the JDBC URL, it throws an error message indicating that the driver is not found.
  
  Please let me know what I can do to fix this problem, any help would be appreciated.

  I would try 1 to connect to the db of sqldeveloper (by jtds - uninvolved to ODBC) and see if you can browse your sql db queries and question in a worksheet. Export this connection to xml format, and then import that Modeler.

  How do you load data into Oracle? What tool or programming language you are using? Can you post something cause what you stated in your post should work, but there may be some ODBC, or other type of conversion factors to be taken into account.

  No problem. Registration for BIS Eval, test your push button and then you can put in production. Be aware however that PUSH does not work in the simulator of debugging can be a bit of a pain...

  Hi Torsten,

  Thanks for reporting the problem. I logged a bug.

  You can view together as "list of system types" directory to "preference > Data Modeler"-probably no longer exists. I guess that the setting for this directory is empty when you start SQL Dev as a different user.

• How to create Spatial indexes in SQL Developer Data Modeler 4

  What is the procedure to create a Spatial index in SDDM v4? I found myself at an impasse because of the following problems:

  (1) retro-engineering rate the spatial index, then I need to add them manually.

  (2) adding an index does not allow me to check the 'spatial', and does not allow me to add the sdo_geometry column in the index definition.

  (3) for the registration of the spatial properties for a table, I can not choose the name of the Spatial Index.

  I came across an old post (Data Modeler - cannot create a spatial index), but this post is no longer valid because SDDM V4 does not allow me to create an index without columns (definition of the incomplete index).

  Thanks for your update.  I'm scared, I was assuming you were using the stand alone rather than SQL Developer Data Modeler.

  I tried using SQL Developer 4.1.0.18.37 (ai2) using a thin connection and got the ClassCastException you have found.

  But when I used ai2 autonomous, maker of data using the same login details 'Advanced', it worked OK and imported from the spatial index.

  (I'm puzzled as to why these two seem to behave differently, as this is the version ai2 data integrated with SQL Developer ai2 maker).

  I then plugged and reverse engineering the same tables (yet) in a new model.

  Funny is that there is no error in the external journal this time, but the spatial properties are still not retroconcues correctly.

  Is it possible that you have not set the option to import the spatial properties?  I expect that the spatial properties would be imported or that the error should be registered.

  SQL Developer ai2 imported properly the spatial properties and the spatial index, when I used a basic connection and specified host, port, and SID or Service name.

  Another issue: SQL Developer relies on a certain JDK / JDBC library?

  Any Java JDK 1.8 should be good.

  The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: no suitable driver available for shownets, please don't check the configuration in the file resources, pilot error: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver I tried all sorts of messages instructions and nothing seems to work.  It's on my 32-bit platform. Tryng to get out all the bugs before I installed the 64-bit version.

  It seems that you have recently installed Coldfusion. I say this because recent versions of Coldfusion no longer ships with JDBC to MySQL driver. You must therefore download and install it yourself.

  To do this, go to the download page of the MySQL JDBC driver. Select the platform independent as a platform connector. Download the ZIP file independent of the platform mysql-connector-java - x.x.xx.zip. (x.x.xx represents the version number)

  Extract the ZIP file. Open the folder that results and search for the driver. It is a JAR file called mysql-connector-java - x.x.xx - bin.jar (x.x.xx represents the version number). Copy the file in the directory lib to Coldfusion.

  Restart Coldfusion. Voila - you're ready to go.
