Planning of work with Oracle schema, or does require a database?

I have some confusion regarding the necessary planning RDBMS, services as well as shared, Essbase etc. If we use the Oracle, do we need a database for each component, i.e. an oracle for planning database, an oracle for the SSP database, a database of oracle Essbase etc. or can we do with a schema for each of them?

You just create a separate schema for each, there is no need of a separate database.
In fact, that many products can be put in the same pattern but personally I do not like this approach and separate them, much better to solve problems, archiving and restoration.

See you soon

  • ZoneAlarm PRO browser extension does not work in FF18, is it planned to work with ZA to resolve this incompatibility?

    Update FF18 in January or December, received the warning that my security extension for the browser ZoneAlarm Pro (or add-on?) is not compatible and has been disabled.

     I contacted Zonealarm and was told they were working on a fix.
     In the past, they have always released a fixed extension within a few days of a new FF release, so I waited for a week, but nothing.
     I then contacted ZA and the agent said I should revert back to FF17, but when I researched that with Mozilla, it was strongly advised NOT to roll back to FF17 (I couldn't figure out how to do so at the FTP site anyway), so I got back to ZA and was told in January that a fix should be released in 2-3 weeks.
     It has been 6 weeks now and NOTHING from ZA.
     I just spent an hour on-line with ZA and eventually was told they may never release a fix so ZAPro will work with FF18...that agent today wouldn't give me any info, even whether they were working to fix it or not...his solution was to use IE which is something I will NOT do.
     I would just like to know whether Mozilla plans to work with Zonealarm to address this problem or not so I can try to decide what to do.
     I HATE browsing with no firewall, so the follow-up question is whether you are aware of some other firewall (preferably free) that I can ALSO use with my installed ZAPro firewall and incorporate that other firewall to just work with FF18 and allow ZAPro to be my primary firewall for all other protection.
     Any help would be appreciated because I'm thoroughly disgusted with ZA at this point for hanging me (and thousands of other FF users) out to dry with NO protection when browsing.
     Also, by using FF18 by itself with just an AV program (eset NOD32), what security exposure am I incurring by not having any firewall protection in place?

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Running Win XP MCE SP3 with all updates from MS on CPU double 3.8 g, 3 G of RAM

    OK, first of all, update Firefox 19. Then run the Zonealarm updates.

    Please note that the extension of Zonealarm does nothing for the impact on the security of your computer (zonealarm still work without the extension), and stay on an older version of Firefox is a security risk. Thus, for most security, be updated with Firefox and disabling extension of Zonealarm are more secure that obsolete in Firefox and Zonealarm

    It's the kind of question that can be answered with My Oracle Support | First Oracle Support or you can write to the APEX [email protected] about this application development team.

    Also, see the "Support" section at the end of the page Oracle Application Express - downloads.

    I hope this helps!

  • APEX 3.1.2 works with Oracle Database 10g?

    APEX is included in Oracle Database 10g? If not, and if I uploaded it separately, will it work with an Oracle 10 g database on Linux installation?

    I tried is the companion of the Oracle 10 g, but this CD seems HTML_DB worm: 1.6 or something.

    where can I find an installation guide for installation of the APEX 3.1.2 on Oracle database 10g linux because all the scenarious installation I found seem to be for oracle 11g database or oracle 10g application server.

    Thank you.

    Request Express is not provided with 10g but as Paulo said, he will work with Oracle 9.2.0.3 or later. You can download it using the links on the pages, he said.

  • Planning for use with Oracle Incentive Compensation (OIC)

    I've read conflicting reports about agglomerates planning would be available for use to migrate compensation plans (and all other configurations of the OIC) multiple instances of Oracle e-Business applications.

    Does anyone know if R12 (12.04) is capable of managing the migration of the OIC? Is there a documentation as to how you should configure planning for use with the OIC?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    It's Laurence of development planning. The OIC is not covered as part of sets of standard selection delivered by Oracle. You can consider you a SR (product code - 841) for coverage.

    If you already have java program/scripts which migrate from the OIC, then you can plugin with planning. You can also write your own API BC4J for the migration of the configurations of the OIC and register with planning.

    To learn more about writing BC4J planning Fwk APIs, please log an SR.

  • JavaScript works with an alert, but does not work without it. Why?

    This happened to me before, but I was able to solve my problem. Now I'm not.

    Let me explain: I have a javascript function which I call when I double click on a line on a table:

    [code]

    function CallServ (evt) {}
    source var = evt.getSource ();

    AdfCustomEvent.queue (source, "call",
    {
    },

    (false);

    auxDblClick.call (this, source);
    }

    function auxDblClick (CBC) {}
    split var = src.toString () .split ('=');
    var idButton = split [1];
    var split2 = idButton.split(':');
    okButton = split2 var [0].concat(':');
    for (var i = 1; i & lt; (split2.length - 1); i ++) {}
    okButton = okButton.concat (split2 [i], ' :');)
    }
    okButton = okButton.concat ('dc_cb1');
    var comp = AdfPage.PAGE.findComponent (okButton);
    Alert (COMP);
    AdfActionEvent.queue (comp, comp.getPartialSubmit ());

    }

    [/ code]

    As you can see, my alert line is commented. If it is not commented, the "auxDblClick" feature works very well: it will print the model on the alert, and then it will perform the action of the dc_cb1 button. However, when I commented the alert function, it stops working.

    I have PartialTrigger set to "true" on my dc_cb1 button and the clientComponent is set to 'true '. I've also set to true ClientComponent on the table, but it does not work.

    So, why the function working with alert, but does not work with the alert off the coast? What Miss me?

    P.S: jdev version 11.1.2.4.0

    I found the solution:

    Before the "AdfActionEvent.queue (comp, comp.getPartialSubmit ());" line, I used the update function. Like this:

          var t = document.getElementById (okButton);

          t.Focus ();

    Now everything works fine

    And just to clarify my and other previous posts... you do NOT get to a command prompt and start your receiver from sqlplus.  sqlplus is a command-line that connects to a database and provides a user interface to the question of the sql to the database statements.  lsncrctl is another command line utility, used to send commands to the listener.  lsnrctl and sqlplus are two completely separate and distinct, all tools two started from the command line of the operating system, that have nothing to do with the other.  Neither one is a kind of 'gateway' to the other.

  • When Firefox in reduced and I work with another program, why does automatically optimize (pop-up) every 10 minutes?

    I use Windows 7 and 8.0.1 Firefox on a PC. It's frustrating. I like Firefox, but it keeps popping up every 10 minutes when it is minimized and I work in another program. I can't continue to use if it cannot be repaired. I just changed from 3.6 and never had any problems. In addition, no settings have been changed.

    Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • Is Discoverer 10 g ok to work with Oracle 11 g database/Middleware?

    Hello

    We want to move some customers who use Discoverer 10 g 11g middleware and database.

    Is this ok?

    Thank you

    Rachael

    Hi Rachel
    It is very good. Discoverer 11g uses the same EUL Discoverer 10 g, which means that even your workbooks will be the same. Therefore, all you do is install the discoverer 11g software, connect it to the EUL and you're on your way.

    Best wishes

  • B2B - BAM integration does not work with the Oracle XE database

    Hello

    Can someone explain the reasons in detail, 'the B2B - BAM integration does not work with the database Oracle XE'?

    Can't we use XE POC simple to demonstrate BAM?

    Published by: 975946 on December 27, 2012 04:14

    Hi Nithin,

    The main reason for this Oracle XE database can't handle such a huge process. Same Oracle XE is not supported in production.
    Note that SOA requires 300 process and BAM more than 100 processes (400 total), which is in addition to any other requirement its 500 to parameter.but process during the installation of Oracle SOA RCU, I hope you gave 300 single right.so his can't handle as much load if use B2B BAM integration.

    The ultimate goal is to have need to display active data in the right BAM reports? so, if you are using Oracle XE DB its may be not possible to show the active data.that the reason Oracle recommended use / works with Oracle 10 g Oracle 11 g versions EE and EE.

    It looks like the same problem, I had some time ago. The problem was the spatial index on the remote database. I created a materialized view on my local database (using database link), created a spatial index on the materialized view, then everything worked. The Oracle spatial index and links database always me grief caused. Make a copy of each of you to "remotely" spatial data in your local database, create local spatial indexes, then everything should work properly. At least this is my experience.
    I hope this helps.

    I would like to know if the data masking Pack Oracle can work with Oracle Standard Edition, which is the license we have in my office. We don't plan to upgrade to Oracle Enterprise Edition.

    I know that Oracle Enterprise Edition with the functionality of datamasking. Standard Edition does not.

    I asked this question here because I chat with an agent of sale to Oracle's web site, but has not answered my question.

    Java-version 1.7.0_11 has not been certified. Only less than 1.7 Java versions are certified. Continue anyway?

    This message will not appear in the next version. As I said, you can use 3.3 DM. EA1 with Java 7, but it's your choice to start using it or wait for the next version.
