plugedin, notcharging

I just got my sony vaio vpccb45 with windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed. Battery in the notification area icon indicates that the battery is at "97% (plugged in, does not support)." How can I get the battery charge?

Intel core i5
4 GB of DDR RAm.
ATI Radeon HD graphics card

My power profile is balanced with the only change so that everything always remains that plugged while. This is my first Windows 7 machine after years with XP, so I am new to the operating system. I searched around the internet and here and can't find anything.

Its already at 97%, which means that it has charged and now is tapered, so normal.  If it was at 7% and no charge that could be a problem.

    Guys I think I solved it...
    I replaced the cable usb with one another to do a factory reset solved my problem!
    Im very sad to lose my apps but I downloaded them all again...
    But now my phone works like a charm and its costs normally
    Try to do this and tell me if it works or not.
