Port group of VM moving with existing VM to vSwitch0 to a new vSwitch1 with the new port VM group

Hello

My vSphere 4 host has been configured from the settings default after having only a single vSwitch (vSwitch0) and eventually populated by 2 VMs now.

I'm now changes to the configuration of the network of vCenter and adding a new vSwitch (vSwitch1) with a new group of computer Virtual Port.

How can I safely move my 2 existing VMs to vSwitch0 to the new VM Port Group in vSwitch1?

Thank you.

Just go to the virtual machines 'change settings', click on your card and the network (by choosing the new label of network). This will move the virtual machine safely.

  • Footer moving with the bottom of the browser window, not with the content of the page.

I'll build a new website that incorporates a standard footer.

The footer works as expected in the sense that moves down when more content is placed in the page. However, when I transfer the Web site in a browser the footer is to stay with the bottom of the browser window and not only with the content of the page. By example, if I Zoom out as far as my browser will allow the footer always appears at the bottom of the browser window leaving a large gap between the content of pages and the page footer.

    Any suggestions for a fix?

    Hello

Try to uncheck the "sticky footer". It should solve the problem.

  • Moving with the selection tool object changes shape

    Hello

I have two problems with the new software Illustrator CS5, I was hoping that someone would be able to help me with. First when I try to move or resize a form that I brought from another file to have it changes the anchor points on the image so that it doesn't look like exactly the same thing for example the rectangle part rounded shape changes its corners so that they are not rounded in a manner still more. I chose the whole picture, however when I move it it seems not to move all the anchor points of evenly and that transforms the appearance of the chart.

The other problem I encounter is that I can't move objects less 1 PX and I can't resize objects less of a pixel, it must always be exactly 1 slices of px. I tried to change the area Increments less than 1 px keyboard in the keyboard increment, however, this doesn't seem to help.

If you want to be able to help me with these two questions, that would be greatly appreciated.

On the transformation Panel, uncheck "snap to Pixel grid.

  • Catalogue again pass PC but moved with the tree files metadata and tag

I'll start at the beginning. Years ago I had PS elements 4 original and upgraded to PSE11 on the same computer and no problem. . at some point, we moved the files from a PC to a new PC. We knew on the displacement of PES in the catalogue and transfer of files. I guess I have relabelled and organized all the photos and was happy for years.

Last month my husband used the utility PC mover 'link turn' PES 11 to a new PC by moving all the files. I then found the problem, because all my photos had no information and no tag and no tree tag on the screen.  As a precaution, I saved the metadata to all media and created a tree of xml on the old PC before tags it back up again. We were going to do the process of back-up/restore to the new PC, but when my husband was struggling to install Adobe PES 11 on the new PC he transferred somehow all my photos (12,000) and there they were with labels and information and all organized under their respective keywords.

The problem is PSE11 created a new file (Bethpictures) with all the photos inside.

Now it seems that we SO 3 separate files with these same pictures 12 000 each. I see all these folders on the left side of the page of the Organizer.

    (1) the original file from Windows

    (2) the old file from PC-bethalbums

    (3) new file of PC-bethpictures

and XML file - tree of the tag

so is it possible to remove redundancies and the tag tree file without any screwing or should I delete it all and make the catalog upward and restoration of the process. Can we put the Bethpicture file under bethalbums and remove duplicates? Or get rid of bethalbums (from old PC) and only has Beth photos (new files created by PSE)? Can I delete this file tree of xml tag or ultimately the removal of the tree of the tag on my page of Organizer PSE?

Should I back up catalog now on the new PC? And then when I get a new PC in the future I can use the backup/restore process or one should always save metadata to file?

OR should I leave him alone?

If I take a chance - I have the following questions about the process in two steps:

Is there a video for me to watch on how to do this?

    some issues are still confused.

    1. on the new should PC-before you begin the process I install PES 11?

1 a - should there be pictures on the new Windows PC at all? Or get everything restored with AdobePSE11?

2 - when the backup catalog on CD it will prompt me when another CD is required to be inserted if several CD is necessary?

Catalogue food 3 when to new PC is there an order to put in the CD?

Sorry for the delay in responding to...

You have layoffs after several restorations.

Before you delete it, you should check which of these 'restorations' are the best.

Each restoration produced a copy of your image tree and a catalog folder.

When you open the organizer with one of the catalogues referring to these various restorations, you can consult:

-where the pictures are stored (in the information on the right panel)

-where the catalog folder is stored: Help menu > system information.

If you are satisfied with a given restore session, at the locations above should not be deleted, the others can be deleted completely from the Explorer or Finder.

Your catalog is probably not in the default location on C:, it may be in a different location. You can use Catalog Manager to move the catalog to the location by default if it is not already there.

Should I back up catalog now on the new PC? And then when I get a new PC in the future I can use the backup/restore process or one should always save metadata to file?

OR should I leave him alone?

It would be a good thing. Registration of metadata to the files is a good and redundant way to be sure, but a healthy backup is sufficient.

    1. on the new should PC-before you begin the process I install PES 11?

    Yes

1 a - should there be pictures on the new Windows PC at all? Or get everything restored with AdobePSE11?

    No, everything is restored, firstly the photo files, then the catalog. If so, you will need to convert a catalog from an older version;

  • Moving with the European iPhone at the Japan

    Hello

I plead for a friend who wants to get a new iPhone in Europe but don't move to the Japan shortly after.

Is is possible to use European iPhones with Japanese card?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Greetings Kappasan,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that you are curious about buying an iPhone in a country and its use in another. There may be two different domains, you need to consider when you buy an iPhone in a country and its use in another.

First of all, when the iPhone is purchased, it can be blocked to the specific carrier you bought the iPhone with. If this is the case, the following article gives you information about unlocking the iPhone with this carrier.

How to unlock your iPhone for use with another carrier - Apple Support

As much as to know if the iPhone will work on a support to the Japan, I suggest communicating with any carrier to the Japan is expected to be used and discussing with them what options you have. The following article describes what iPhone companies offer to the Japan service.

  • How to organize a table like 'move with the text' and 'around and underneath "? For now, my only option in the menu drop-down is "in line with text.

Hello. I am trying to format a table, so that when I hit it, it moves to the bottom of the page and the bumps any text underneath down as well (that is if you can see the whole table and all text at any time)

    .

However, the only options I seem to have are moving with the text > inline with the text. The first part is what I want, but having the means of inline with the text of table than all text below it floats UNDER the table, and you can't read it.

PIC 1 - My only option when "move with the text" is selected. As you can see all the other features are also grayed out.

Photo 2 - I want now, select above and below, but when I select something other that in line with the text...

PIC 3... it jumps to stay on the Page option is not what I want.

    Any ideas?

You can have a floating table in v4.3 Pages ' 09 that moves before the text typed before it, but this feature has not been added to any release of v5 Pages. Simply set the table in the Wrap Pages ' 09 Inline with the text Inspector, and object causes the film if you wish.

  • How to make a background Center with the rest of the content?

    Hello world

I was wondering if I could pick your brains! I am new to Dreamweaver, I was taking a course in this and I wanted to see how much I've learned by creating a fictitious Web site.

I wanted to create a Web site with a background image in it and it brought. Now, I can get everything in the body toward the Center but not the image, so when I check in the browser, the background to the left image stays, while the rest of the site is moving with the browser window as it should. I tried many things to fix this problem and the fear that I have created a mess with the code! Please could someone point me in the right direction?

I thought I'd post the code here, hope this is ok?

  • Add PS6110 with the existing data to the existing group

    Hello world

Is it possible to add a PS6110 with the existing volumes and connections to an existing uninterrupted group iSCSI?

    Thank you!

    Sven

    Hello Sven,

No sorry.  There is no possibility of group "fusion".  In addition, discovery addresses are different for servers must be updated.

If you have enough space, you can migrate the data to a group.  I.e. through Storage vMotion from VMware, then reset the released members and add it to the group.

Any solution you are looking for will be based on the host.

    Kind regards

  • Several groups of ports with the same VLanID

Ask a question on peoples experience or knowledge, because we had a little chat here at work. If you have several groups with the same VLanID virtual port in the same cluster, does or that will cause a problem?

Tom - we do that regularly.

We have large quantities of VLAN - and often will be have 2 VMs hosted on the same Vlan environments for the purposes of the Dev - but when we move to production, we want to be able to isolate the dependent VMs to the configured network - with the same Vlan in use. . with a name different from the ways that we can quickly determine which is which.

    In addition

I have hhave 1 vSwitch, with 2 natachasery (set up for tolerance of failure... not load balancing). . 2 groups of ports. . even vLan. . but I can get then Port Group1 to Teddy defauilt 1 and Port Group2, or Teddy bear 2 - which means I can isolate traffic e.. except in an emergency.

  • Two questions - cannot save the printer shares with the error code 0x000006d9 and part of the Machine is not accessible from the network of working groups

I think this are problems, but here is the separately questions, first of all - the basics:

4 PC network using the working group with two Windows 7 (ultimate) and two xp.  Everything worked fine with the a previous vista / xp 3 network.  All except the Windows 7 Desktop behave well. The network is connected with a modem cable to a 5XT netscreen NS (firewall hardware to the outside and the inside hub), a netgear wireless access point and Windows workgroup use (as mentioned above).  Name all is correct on all machines, all the discovery settings are in place and each has Norton Internet security for its local protection services. Upgrades of Windows 7 have been computer vista laptop connected wireless and wired desktop previously running XP Professional sp3.  XP conversion was assisted on the desktop of the wizard upgrade Laplink PC Mover.  Applications executed in appearance on the two level computers.

On the desktop - I can't share printers. When I use "networks and printers" in the start menu to share on a printer I get code 0x000006d9 error saying something like the configuration cannot be saved.  All local jobs printing works well.

On the desktop - the name of the computer records also of all as on the network (it is discovered and mapped by each PC) but when I try to access it from any other machine I get a general error says something like "check your spelling of the name mannequin." This desktop computer Win 7 can browse shared folders on the network of and write about everything.  Somewhat added data - this device can ping all others in the network sucessfully but none get a ping successfully into the offending machine either with ip address or computer name (times out waiting for a response or said the name is not found).  He himself can ping successfully.  It accesses the internet very high hand.

Solutions have been attempted without a firewall (Firewall Norton Smart Internet - 2010), with the firewall and various changes to authorization.  A final discovery was that Windows Firewall will not allow because BFE is not able to start - error 5 - access denied (this was discovered by train to allow a possible solution because of some internet chatter that the Windows Firewall must be running to implement shared printers).  All other dependencies are running to get a break on why BFE is not (it turns on the Win 7 laptop as well as the firewall).  Authorizations have been verified in the registry for settings of firewall and BFE (ports, permits, etc.) have also been looked at with a very critical eye.  SFC has been run with no problem.  All ports for net drivers, Win 7 networking and other actions are open in the firewall.

Then people - I did some internet research and I tried a lot of suggested solutions nothing doesn't.  My apologies in advance if a person provides a solution and I say "tried".  Any help is very appreciated

You can mark this as resolved problem!
The program involved, causing this error is firewall Windows, here is what you need to do to fix this...
If like me you have disabled windows firewall, I use Security Suite of ZoneAlarm, you will need to re-enable the firewall to share the printer.

If you have disabled or turned off the Windows Firewall. (and in my case this error was caused by exactly that)
Step #1 - disable any other firewall can be installed. Stop to load at startup and restart your PC.

Step #2 - go to the tools of Admin folder > Services > Windows Firewall > double click and is it set to manual or automatic and keep it.

Step #3 - open Control Panel > system & security > Windows Firewall > enable or disable the Windows Firewall > (Enable) turn on the Windows Firewall > save
Then go to Restore Defaults > click on restore default button > save
(you only do this IF you have changed the settings of the firewall, but it is always a good idea and will ensure that there are no problems during the proceeding)

Step #4 - click Control Panel Home > view devices & Printers > Select / click on your printer > screen printer properties > share > share this printer > OK

Step #5 - go back to firewall Windows and the tower he walks back > save

Step #6 - go back to Services > and the Manual value Windows Firewall (or turn it off if you want, I recommend the manual)

Step #7 - reboot and re-enable your firewall preferred to start at startup > Reboot

Step #8 - take a deep breath and sigh of relief! :)

  • The listener is down: even if a listener with the name "AUDITOR", is running on this host at the port: "1521", it has not started using "the target LISTENER. ORA file.

I moved a listener on a host in a House different oracle. The headset works fine, but EM 12 c shows that the listener is down with the following summary:

The listener is down: even if a listener with the name "AUDITOR", is running on this host at the port: "1521", it has not started using "the target LISTENER. ORA file. CORRECTIVE ACTION: To monitor this "EM listener target" with its current configuration, you must stop the process of listening running and start it using the Listener parameter file: opt/oracle/product/12.1.0.2/network/admin/listener.ora. Alternatively, you can update "this target LISTENER. Location ORA setting"with the location of the listener running, which started using the: opt/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/network/admin/listener.ora.

EM 11 g, I simply changed the configuration of the listener for the different oracle home, argued the change and in a few minutes the listener would show that 'UP' with the oracle of new home. I upgraded to MS 12 c (12.1.0.4) and can't find how to do this. Can someone give me the procedure.

    Thank you

    Ron

    Hi Ron,

Can you please do the following?

-Create a for the listener listener.ora file, stop and start the receiver using the listener.ora file. If the file is located in a default location, set the TNS_ADMIN environment variable to that location before you start the listener.

-Log on to the EM console, go to the homepage of the listener.

-In the Oracle Listener menu, select target Configuration > Configuration of the analysis.

-Ensure that the parameters, including the Listener.ora directory, are properly.

    Kind regards

    -Loc

    ERROR:

ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist

I installed oracle client on my desktop

and I made entries in the tnsnames file

However when I connect to the database to rac with scan it works sometimes...

    not always...

so I'm in search mode and finally, after many moons a lot and light years away, I found the following

    Here's what I did

    # - scan

    192.168.0.127 rac31 - scan.oracle.com rac31-scan

    192.168.0.128 rac31 - scan.oracle.com rac31-scan

    192.168.0.129 rac31 - scan.oracle.com rac31-scan

I put three ip addresses in the host with the same name rac31-scan file

then I put the same ip addresses in my windows hosts file

    Here are the entries

    192.168.0.127 rac31 - scan.oracle.comrac31-scan

    192.168.0.128 rac31 - scan.oracle.com rac31-scan

    192.168.0.129 rac31 - scan.oracle.com rac31-scan

but in the (windows 7 pc) client tnsnames file has just one entry

    It's here

    RAC1 =

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = rac31-scan)(PORT = 1521))

    (CONNECT_DATA =

    (SERVER = DEDICATED)

    (SERVICE_NAME = RAC)

    )

    )

and now when I connect from the client... it connects without any problems.

I have tried more than 10 attempts without problem

    BINGO!
