• New on the portal provider, digital goods. App update of doubt!

  I'm new to the forum so please be kind if I am not aware of the rules here. I'm new to getting started with selling digital products from the supplier portal. I created a sample application using the AIR, like the BB dev portal. I've also added a new goods (consumable charge .99cents) in the portal provider (draft mode). I added the user sandbox to my account. I opened my Z10 account connected to BBworld with developer on mode. I'm in the content ID and looked content, the app mentioned that he is "not available for this device.

  I have some doubts.

  1. how to connect using the user account of bac to sand? Should I use a different device linked to the same BBID?

  2. why the content is "not available for this device?

  3. can I simulate purchases by using the 'PaymentSystem.CONNECTION_MODE_LOCAL '? I see the UI with the purchase ID and response on the 'success', but 'purchaseSuccessHandler' is not have triggered.

  4. I'm planning store xml data and other assets in the appStorageDir once the user makes the purchase. Now, what happens if I update the application? The xml in the appStrorageDir file will also get deleted? How to maintain existing data when the user updates the application?

  1 see the following page for information on test applications with a user sandbox account.  You want to make sure that your digital good is approved / available, even if your version of the app is in draft mode.  Make sure to clear cache in BlackBerry World once you have downloaded your application on the portal of the seller.

  2. sometimes, this error occurs if you load the app (from your dev machine) side and try to buy a digital camera right.  The payment service requires that the application be downloaded from BlackBerry World in order to make digital good purchases.  If side you load it, you will get probably errors.

  3. I don't know why purchaseSuccessHandler will not fire.

  4. There is a shared folder on the device that you can place the application in legacy.  If the application is removed, the assets would persist.  You are right, that if you store your goods in the storage location of local file for your application, it will be deleted if a user deletes the app.

• Portal provider does not

  I have posted 2 other themes on the portal, have received emails that they are on sale, but they are not displayed on the AppWorld, is there a channel that I can use to this address with portal provider? or the AppWorld store manager? To add to that, I can post is no longer request of sale from the vendor portal, because the links on this page do not respond to the click, I don't get a message or the success error response "nothing happens" when I click. I think that RIM should have a link or a way to receive responses with questions like these to the supplier portal users... It's really discouraging perfected me to a device and the brand I love somuch!... I have 12 requests more I hesitate to present due to this challenge.

  These files are not required for your release, so it's probably a bug in the new version of the portal provider (the old version of the portal provider used to ignore these files and download only the COD files to your release)

  I imagine that you have just compressed distributables file and presented it as a liberation. Delete these files and download just the COD files instead, and everything should work fine

• Update of portal provider applications

  Hi guys I am implementing an update on the portal provider for my application, but I can't see any link updated on the product edition. Can someone help on the steps to download a new version of the app?

  To update an application, you must go to:

  > Product management

  > Click on the sign, heading 'Press' for the app you want to udpate +.

  > And then configure your new version adding a set of files and setting additional options

• Category portal provider not showing on PlayBook

  Has anyone seen where several categories defined in the portal provider for a product does not show this product in the PlayBook for the two?  Magellan compass is set for 'Maps & Navigation' and 'Local search', but he appears under "local search".  Could someone confirm on their device and if it a known issue?

  John, it's not the multiple categories, and the apps are in a single category. What you see, is a top-level category and subcategory.

  It is confusing because many or all categories have the same subcategories of 'catch-all'.

  For example, battery Guru is listed in utilities-> Utilities. Your application of Navigation Maps &-> local search.

  I think you need to just change the subcategory Navigation Maps &, because where it is more likely people will look.

  If your portlet portlet a regular JSR168 or is it a PDK portlet?

• Portal provider built for blackberry?

  In the provider portal, (produced) app list has the heading 'built for blackberry '.

  I downloaded two applications that should be considered, but it doesn't show anything under the heading.

  Should we expect for the review, or this should show something immediately after the download?

• Portal provider issue, need help!

  Last weekend, I've updated my paid on the supplier portal app and received approval on Monday.

  Since then, there is no purchase for 5 days.

  Maybe customers don't buy my app anymore, however my app was app world for more than 1 year and no purchase in a week, that's what I've ever seen.

  I wonder if there is a problem on my app update or the supplier portal so that my application can be purchased.

  However app update works OK because some customers reported problems of the new version.

  Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  even if your app was working not your customers wouldn't know until after that the app is purchased... it could just be that your application has not been purchased? I don't know if you have consistent sales and maybe one or two days, it is empty it could just be punctual. Don't check in a week if there are no sales, then begin to take a closer look.

• Remove applications from portal provider

  Is it possible to remove applications from the supplier portal? I presented a few apps, that which some I don't want to support so I have them removed from the sale. I want to 'remove' in my list or move them "inferior" in my list but I know they are organized alphabetically. To clairfy, I introduced more than 5 applications in the app world, but I want to only support about 5, though I prefer if these 5 should appear at the top of my portal to manage products / download reports if possible.

  By replacing I thought to rename my progressive apps with 'ZZZ' to move down, but I have a feeling that the name change would not be approved lol...

  Unfortunately, it is not possible to remove the apps, but round Z-rename works, I did it several times with obsolete applications of mine

  Hello, I was wondering if there are only new downloads of the app downloads in the App World vendor portal or whether it includes users who have updated from one version to the other.  Like many, I can say there is no indication in the report of whetherits a new download oran to date.

• The sales chart app generated into account on the portal provider 30% cut rim?

  Hi, I have a question. If Let's say I generate graphics for my application and today's sales is subject of 5USD. Does that figure shows post 30% reduction in RIM already, or submitted 30% cut from the RIM when he is about to be transffered for me?

  The graph shows total sales, including cut to the RIM. You will get 70% of what is displayed.

• Report portal provider problems

  in the last week or more whenever I try to schedule reports or generate a report download, I get messages like these:

  "An error occurred during the generation of the report." and

  "Sorry!" Some technical error occurred during the processing of your application. Please try again later. »

  I wrote twice to the support center, but they have not responded that neither fixed the site. Who else should I go to get concrete results? (this question is for most admins or other responsible guy)
