Possible bug? Problem passing values

Well, I'm under Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 on Oracle 11.2.0.1.0.

I'm playing with some ideas for some new features in my apps and try a process simple enough form to view an interactive report and passing the three values of the column to another page through properties "link in the column" columns.

One of the values of columns that I'm passing is "Tierra Del Fuego, both E Islas Del Atlántico Sur", but for some reason when these data are transmitted, it stops at the comma and the rest of the winds in the next past variable/column, so I lose the last column, I'm going through.

So, I have an interactive relationship with about 84 columns. I want to move the three values in the column to a next page (as a top-down research report) and re - search the database for entries corresponding to my three values passed. But it seems that if the value that I'm passing contains a comma, then the 'value' stop at the comma and the rest of the column passed then becomes the next column values.

Which makes sense (regarding the problem, is not how it works), and someone else can confirm that? I will continue to play even more and see if maybe I can recreate the 'problem' with other combinations of value.

Thank you
Bill Ferguson

You probably have your column field name substitution string value?

  • How accept/pass values as Oracle text multiline.

    Hi all

    Help, please!

    I'm trying to pass values of several lines of text in the form of Oracle to a stored procedure.

    To explain in detail, I have a text element (let's say Input_Text_item - a multiline value yes property) which would not. values as input (possibly by copy/paste), a button - pressed, it should take each value 'Input_text_item' (line by line) and pass the value to a stored procedure and display the result in another element of text (which has the property multiline set to Yes) I say "Output_text_item".

    Now the problem is to know how to read "Input_Text_item" multiline values I am only able to read the unique value. When I try the multi-line values, it gives me "FRM-50024: space run posts only" error.

    Is there a way to fix this?

    Thank you

    Back to my original post, how to place multiple lines of a text element values to a stored procedure.

    I want to spend the value 10 (from the first line of item_1) to store procedure/function - get result.

    then pass the value 40 (from the second row of item_1) to a stored procedure again and so on... >
    If I understand correctly, you want to send each line (MLT) multiline text item as a separate parameter a stored procedure. If this is correct, then you will need analyze the different lines of the TRM in the values of the individual parameters. This can be done by analyzing the MLT using the Carrage return [Chr (13)] and line break characters [Chr (10)] in the MLT as separators and delimiters of each value. There are some good examples of how to cut a string multiple values (or an array). Here are a few good examples:

    PL/SQL: Splitting a string in a table?
    How to parse a string in Oracle.

    These two methods can be easily adapted to research on the characters of Chr (10) and Chr (13), so you can analyze your TRM.

    Hope this helps,

  • Possible bug in implementing caching query ColdFusion 10

    I have stumbled upon a bug in caching of queries in ColdFusion 10.  I wanted to see if anyone else had seen this before as I've submitted a bug report.  It will be difficult to set up a full test case, so I hope that a description will be enough to confirm if this is reproducible.

    First, I create an array of structures.  Each structure is a set of key/value pairs of the arguments that will be passed to a query.  The first two keys contain numeric values, the third a string value.  I asked a Microsoft SQL Server database.  My query is inside a loop of table.  The query contains the CachedWithin attribute to 1 hour. In the query, I pass values in the structure in the clause WHERE using CFQueryParam.

    If two sets of numeric values are quite similar, but not identical, ColdFusion will jumble the values and hidden bad back the query result set.  For example, values in my table:

    [{BookNo = 97, NUMPAGE = 1, match = 'Card of the evaluator'}, {BookNo = 212, NUMPAGE = 50, match = 'Card of the evaluator'}, {BookNo = 250, NUMPAGE = 12, match = 'Card of the evaluator'}, {BookNo = 97, NUMPAGE = 1, match = 'Card of the evaluator'}]

    When I run the page for the first time with an empty query cache, this is what I get:

    1. Search results for BookNo 97, NUMPAGE 1. (non-cached)
    2. Search results for BookNo 212, NUMPAGE 50. (non-cached)
    3. Search results for BookNo 212, NUMPAGE 50. (cached)
    4. Search results for BookNo 97, NUMPAGE 1. (cached)

    What should I get:

    1. Search results for BookNo 97, NUMPAGE 1. (non-cached)
    2. Search results for BookNo 212, NUMPAGE 50. (non-cached)
    3. Search results for the BookNo 250, NUMPAGE 12. (non-cached)
    4. Search results for BookNo 97, NUMPAGE 1. (cached)

    See the problem with the third iteration, it's pulling the same results of the second iteration.  If I remove the CachedWithin, achieve the desired results.  If I create my own CacheID, I get the expected results.  It's only when I let ColdFusion handle the cache on its own I get incorrect results.

    Someone at - he seen anthing like that?  This look like a bug legitimate which must be filed?

    -Carl V.

    @BKBK,

    It's too complex for me to say. I have these questions, for example:

    (1) when the loop is processed, ColdFusion treats 4 queries consecutively?

    (2) a comparison of SQL statements is one of the controls that ColdFusion is running to decide whether to perform a given query or use cached data. Data using cfqueryparam binding has an effect on the SQL statement?

    (3) place a cfdump of the request as the last statement in the loop. A query dump tells you if a query is cached. You see what queries are cached?

    1. Yes.
    2. Oooh!  I've been using cfqueryparam.  I removed the cfqueryparams, and now he behaves as expected.  Seems that there is a bug when combining cfqueryparam and caching.
    3. Already had this and it was the results cached for the second query processing allegedly the third query (see the original post for the expected and actual results).

    -Carl V.

    Update: and it seems that it is a known bug, after all, with the layout of the query cache and cfqueryparam: https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3369530.  I'll add my vote, and perhaps others can also.

    Update 2: and looking more closely, it looks like it has been fixed in an everything-to-be-released version.  I hope that we will get it soon.  A suggested workaround solution was to place the values of cfqueryparam in a SQL comment, which seems to help CF recognize the single request instructions and cache correctly.

  • Passing values between tabs, using a structure of housing.

    At the risk of exposing my ignorance, I have a problem of substance; How to pass values in a controlled tab structure of the case.

    I have a simple user interface that uses a control tab control container a structure of all cases wrapped in a while loop. I use

    LabVIEW 2012.

    The basic intent is to run VI in tab 1, whose results would be available for the VI tab 2 ect...

    (See the attached example; an experience I wish that changes to the controls to page 1 int & string will appear

    the indicators corresponding to page 2).

    I can "pass" the values of a case outside the case itself (through a tunnel of output) structure, but can't seem to do

    available for all other cases by a tunnel entrance.

    I tried to tunnel of the case in a registry to lag on the while loop, but am upset by retrieving that data again in another case.

    I tried to use local variables, but obviously do not understand the paradigm brought LabVIEW for variables. I can create a local

    variable but can't seem to 'plug in' to an indicator on the second page.

    First question: is a reasonable method for execution of the loop control program structure business controlled within a certain time tab?

    I chose it because I have literally dozens of parameters to define, validate and want to manage Visual space

    for the operator. For example, I would that this sequence:

    1. Question and list of facilities available on my PC
    2. Select a device to use, make sure it works properly
    3. Set the parameters for this particular device (30)
    4. run the device, collect data and save the results

    Second question: it is clear that I don't know how to use variables, and the examples I read involve transmission of data to parallel structures

    and not in a case. Is a local variable to a reasonable method of transmission of data between the "tabs"? I will gladly make

    accept the reprimand to 'RTFM' until 'FM' required is identified.

    Thank you in advance for your kind attention to my wisely first year survey

    Shift registers are simple to get data from.  Where is your problem with their use?  However, have you considered just using the terminals directly in the case of the Page 2?

    You must learn to use the Structure of the event.  You shouldn't care what tab you are on.  It's all in the same VI.  Therefore use a Structure unique event for all your control value changes.

  • Possible bug found in hyperlinkctrl.c when you use the "VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR" mouse cursor in your own user interface.

    Hi people, I think I found a bug in the hyperlinkctrl.c custom control, after the update/upgrade an old project CVI.

    I found when I started using the "VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR" mouse in my UI, when adding a new hyperlink control.

    The error is recoverable error: ' from the mouse cursor is not valid.

    This error breaks in RunUserInterface (never seen anything like this before and I use CVI since version 3.1).

    This happens whenever I mouse - hovering anywhere on the Panel that contains the new hyperlink control.

    I also had a hack temporary to solve the problem, for now, I'll pass it along to this announcement...

    The hyperlink control's source code is located in \toolslib\custctrl\hyperlinkctrl.c

    The bug/problem lies in the service of reminder (of HyperLinkPanelCallback), specifically in lines 460 to 465.

    This hyperlink control wants to use the VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR as its default cursor when you hover over the custom hyperlink.

    However, if you already use 'VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR' in your user interface, the branch which verifies that you use what he thinks is 'his own' thread-safe mouse cursor ID, so that can reset it by using his "token concatenation" - created macro "GetTsvCursor", is not an 'else' branch to protect the picture when you actually use the cursor pointing finger... where the error that the mouse cursor is not valid. Here is the snippet of these lines.

    The mouse is not over a hyperlink
    If (cursor is VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR)
    {
    Reset the cursor to the previous cached cursor
    cursor = GetTsvCursor();
    errChk (SetMouseCursor (cursor));

    ... etc...

    }

    So my hack was to change the type of cursor to "VAL_CHECK_CURSOR" in place and place the cursor of "VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR" in three locations in this function, then rebuilt files x 86 and x 64.

    Hey Luis, finally win a free T-shirt of LabWindows/CVI with not only have reported this bug, but also to give the precise location of the source, as well as a work around?

    :^)

    JB

    In the meantime, I have submitted a bug with ID #545203 report to track down this problem.

  • Possible bug: save the table with double and extended precision to the worksheet

    If one concatenates an array of double-precision and an array of precision extended with the 'build' vi table, then recorded using 'Write in a spreadsheet file' vi any digits to the right of the decimal are reset to zero in the saved file. Regardless of the entry of signifier of format (for example %.10f) to the vi 'Write in a spreadsheet file'.

    I'm on Vista Ultimate 32 bit and labview 9.0

    This is a possible bug that is easily circumvented by the conversion of a type before you incorporate arrar in a worksheet. Nevertheless, it's a bug and it cost me some time.

    Hi JL,.

    No, this is not a bug - it's a feature

    Well, if you'd look closer you would recognize the 'save to spreadsheet' as polymorphic VI. As this polymorphic VI does not support the EXTENSION numbers internally (it only supports DBL, I64, and String) LabVIEW selects the instance with more precision: I64 (I64 a 64 bits of precision, DBL that 53...). Your options are:

    -the value of the instance to use as the DBL (by right click and "Select type... »)

    -make a copy of this VI, save it under a different name and make support number of POST (not rework the polymorphic VI like you would break compatibility with other facilities of LV or future revisions)

  • Is it possible to change the values of particular #define of the various controls in CVI.

    In my application, I have different panels to file single .uir. When I save the .uir file, I get the same values of #define for different controls in different panels. For this reason, I am not able to use these #defines block switch. Is it possible to change the values of #define according to my condition.

    Hi, a little more Wolfgang post. It is the combination of the Panel to manage and control the unique ID: as you know, you can load the same panel more than once, so even if you recover the full chain of PANEL_CONTROL you have duplication. items that exactly identifies a particular control in a particular group are the combination control panel manage AND panel_control ID.

    On the one hand which guarantees more flexibility to your application, you can design only a few panels and reuse them whenever you want, even having some of them loded several times in the same instant. On the other hand, as you have discovered, there is the possibility (Finally, almost certain) duplicated in your app ID.

    To resolve the problem of duplicated IDS you can act in two ways:

    1. If you know that no Panel is never loaded several timer in your application, you can retrieve the name of constant of Panel with GetPanelAttribute (panelHandle, ATTR_CONSTANT_NAME, string); and to distinguish between the name of constant, then switch between control ID

    2. If you happen to have duplicate panels you will need to store each panelHandles in the non-volatile variables, switch between them and then switch between the control ID

    An alternative might be to use Panel callbackData attribute and assign a significant value during the loading of the Panel, other callbackData finally from a control ID. Something like this:

    Loading panels:

    panelHandle = LoadPanel (0, "myfile.uir", PANEL1);

    SetPanelAttribute (panelHandle, ATTR_CALLBACK_DATA, (void *) 1);   Assign different callbackData in each instance

    During the failover between controls:

    void * cbkd;

    GetPanelAttribute (panelHandle, ATTR_CALLBACK_DATA, &cbkd);)
    Switch (cbkd (int)) {}
    case 1: / / elements of the PANEL1
    switch (command) {}
    case PANEL1_NUMERIC:

    your code here
    break;
    case PANEL1_STRING:
    your code here
    break;
    }
    break;
    case 2:
    // .....
    break;
    }

    One final note: it seems to me that all this is necessary in a very limited situation, where you have the same callback called on various panels/controls. Whenever the reminder is unique to a specific panel or controls on a single panel you don't need to work that way.

    Hi all, finally I found the solution to this exception.

    I did the following steps to solve the problem.

    1. create a bean and use this method

    public void tooManyObjectsMatchExceptioHandeler() {}

    Add the code in the event here...

    System.out.println ("inside the Handeler");

    FacesMessage message =

    new FacesMessage ("Type your friendly message");

    message.setSeverity (FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR);

    FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();

    fc.addMessage (null, message);

    }

    Now, drag and drop the file above java projects in data controls in the browser of the application.

    2. drag a workflow method call (where u get exception as Houston-25013) and call this method as an activity of the exception handler,

    Now, do a right click on this--> definition of the page method call create or go to definition of the page--> create a link Action method and select the above method in the select and file def page this method call in the workflow then go to properties inspector set out fixed property (here name of activities of method call) u give.

  • Navigate between the report and dashboard and pass values between another column

    Hello

    I have a question about navigate from 1 report to a dashboard page passing value from column 1 to column 2 in the second report...

    In OBIEE 11 G, I create link action report 1, column 1 and this link from the action is go to the content of the BI and the destination is a dashboard page, which has used 2 column as a dashboard and there are 3 reports that all use column 2 to filter. Now, the dashboard page 2 column is an alias for column 1 report 1, from the point of view of users, these are the same, but OBIEE point of view, they are different.

    My action link is able to access the dashboard, however, the value in column 1 which I clicked on run navigation, not are placed in column 2 as the line of dashboard does not receive this value when navigating...

    Since I can't put column 1 in dashboard 2, nor that I can put the 2 column in the report 1. Because our data model is done in the way that if I use column 1 or 2 in both cases, it will be o-ring...

    Is there a way around this problem?

    Let me know if I need to elaborate

    Thank you

    Hello

    You are going to have three main dashboard page (i.e., dashboad1, 2, 3) in the dashboard you will be having 3 different relationship with different column aliases (e.g. columnx_alias1, columnx_alias2, columnx_alias3) and you're going to have a dashboard more page say dashboardx a report with columnx. Now if you click on report of dashboard1 to go to dashboardx, click on report of dashboard2 also should go to dashboardx, click dashboard3 report should also go to dashboardx.

    1 > you can create 3 variable presentation for column 3 aliases and hide. {{{You can use the union query in sql result say columnx select from table where columnx='@{column1}' union select columnx table where columnx='@{column2}' union select columnx table where columnx='@{column3}'.
    2 > now you can hide these guests with variables.

    Please let me know if you are facing a problem.

    Thank you

  • APEX translated application 4.2 available possible bugs on theme 25

    Hello everyone,

    I try APEX 4.2 with reactive Blue theme (theme 25). So far so good. When I tried to do an application translated from my one shot (I don't translate any string, just de-seeded and released the app), I discovered some possible bugs on the page layout. For example, in areas of form, fields with the scope of auto column cannot be aligned in the same line. They are moved to a new line, although in the original application, it works. I know it's easy to fix by setting a specific value in the scope of column. But how can I fix the page layout in the pages who are magicians (with the standard model of region) and fields are placed in the table not div like in the initial application. Is there a difference between a translated application (which is actually not yet translated) and on the initial page rendering?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Grandmaster,

    I think that you are hit bug 15922307 - model of presentation of the grid of a translation application is not used
    who sets us 4.2.1.00.08. Can you check if you're on this version or if you are still on APEX 4.2.0

  • Passing values to stored 'IN' Clause

    Hi all:

    I'm trying to pass values to a stored procedure to use in an IN clause and get an "ORA-01722: invalid number."

    I think it has something to do with how .net manages channels and how I'm moving to my stored procedure.

    The values I know there IN (2, 1) to the stored procedure work and I built a routine that creates a string value to pass to the format "2, 1, but I think because this value is defined as a string in the code .net, the leader and the apostrophe is at the origin of the problem in the stored procedure.

    I have in my .net code the following:
    oCommand.Parameters.Add ("groupID_", OracleDbType.Varchar2). Value = GroupID;
    Where GroupID is defined as a string of character and values the following: 2, 1, but because of the way .net manages it, happening as "2, 1".

    Then of course, within my procedure stored,
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE PAYSOL.sp_ProjectsManAppAndFundRpt)
    p_Cursor1 ON SYS_REFCURSOR,
    p_Cursor2 ON SYS_REFCURSOR,
    p_Cursor3 ON SYS_REFCURSOR,
    p_Cursor4 ON SYS_REFCURSOR,
    p_Cursor5 ON SYS_REFCURSOR,
    groupID_ IN VARCHAR2)

    where I am setting the parameter groupID_ as a VARCHAR2, is keep the apostrophes, causing problems when I use it in my IN clause:
    AND IN S.GroupID (groupID_)

    What should I do to pass this value correctly? Is there something I can do inside the stored procedure to strip these characters, or what I need to transmit differently, or completely change how I'm this treatment? I don't know the right path for upside down, so I wanted to ask for help.

    Thank you
    Andy

    IN the Clauses and parameterized queries can be stupid delicate; Thus, while logically it makes sense to do what you want (it doesn't in database!)

    You can manage this problem in several ways:
    (1) anonymous sql (do not recommend)
    (2) a user defined type and function as such

    --see  http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:210612357425
    --create a table of numbers ,create a function to split the "where" into a table
    --then return the data
    CREATE OR REPLACE type numberTableType as table      of number;
    /
    create or replace function in_number( p_string in varchar2 ) return numberTableType AS
            l_string        long default p_string || ',';
            l_data          numberTableType := numberTableType();
            l_number        number ;
            N               NUMBER;
        BEGIN

          loop
              exit when l_string is null;
              n := instr( l_string, ',' );
             l_data.extend;
             begin --is user inputs a non-numeric value skip the value
                l_number := cast(ltrim( rtrim( substr( l_string, 1, n-1 ) ) )  as number);
                l_data(l_data.count) := l_number ;
                EXCEPTION
                        WHEN VALUE_ERROR THEN
                            l_number := 0;
                        WHEN OTHERS THEN
                            raise ;
             end ;
             l_string := substr( l_string, n+1 );
        end loop;
        RETURN L_DATA;
      END in_number;
      /

    ...
    --then your code
    AND S.GroupID IN (select column_value from table(in_number(groupID_))

    (3) in fact, just look at this blog! It does a better job at what I am!

  • Possible bug in a Select NULL-option list

    Hi all
    I tried to use a list to select a tabular form and found a possible bug.
    I have reproduced the issue on apex.oracle.com.
    Please visit http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=38499:2.
    It seems that the fields for 'Display value Null' and 'return Null value are switched.
    Can someone try this and tell me if I'm doing something wrong or it's really a bug?

    Kind regards

  • possible bug? formatting number 0 is displayed as 4 294 967 295

    This is really two questions in one. First of all, I have a routine that sometimes gives a result of 0, which is * sometimes * displayed in an AdvancedDataGrid column in the form of 4 294 967 295, which I assume is somehow a significant number (more big int?). In any case, I have one ADG with a column defined as:

    < mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn headerText = "Remaining work" labelFunction = "rem_work_fmt" textAlign = "right" / >

    The called labelFunction is illustrated below:

    private void rem_work_fmt(item:Object,_column:AdvancedDataGridColumn):String
    {
    var num:String = numberFormatter.format (item.get_remaining_work ());
    trace ("result:" + num);
    return num;
    }
    Track of exit impressions: "result: 0" as expected, but the number displayed in the grid is sometimes 0 and 4294967295 sometimes.

    More strangeness, this only happens to the last column in the ADG. I call the same logic of format on another column and have never seen a wrong result. In addition, the same 'get_remaining_work()' function is called on the same data and the result is properly displayed in a field of text as 0.

    Second question, I met a few other possible bugs, I didn't report because I found a work around. How to do that in the beta program?

    LW1001,

    Bugs can be filed in the public bug at http://bugs.adobe.com/flex/
    You will need to register before you can submit bugs.
    Also, if you can attach files to bug to the bug report, it makes it much easier for Adobe to investigate.

    Let me know if you have any other questions/problems.

  • Passing value within a form

    Hey,.
    My name is Jesh, just began working on apex 3.2
    Have a problem passing the values of an element to another element using a button.

    Example: I have two points on the same page P11_Item1 and P11_Item2 (both are text fields)
    Created a button and named it ADD.

    When you add a value to Item1 and click the Add button, the value should be displayed on the Item2 text field

    Thanks a lot for your help guys
    appreciate it

    Jesh

    Jesh,

    Create a process that is running on submit - after calculations and validations.

    Use it for the body of the process:

    :P11_Item2 := :P11_Item1;

    Within your process, scroll to the transformation of the condition, and then set it to the selection list when the button pressed (process after submit when this button is pressed) your Add button.

    See you soon,.

  • Are you aware of a possible bug in the version 3.6.23? In the browser, for example, "two /" appears with the slash through the 'o'. Is this a known bug? Thank you

    Are you aware of a possible bug in the version 3.6.23? In the browser, for example, "two /" appears with the slash through the 'o'. Is this a known bug?

    When the same text is seen in another browser, it is displayed correctly as "two."

    The same question is displayed on another computer.

    Thank you.

    Sounds that you use a font that supports ligatures (Palatino?).
