As a general rule, her upgrade CPU what whether it is compatible with the motherboard will NOT give you a lot of performance. The GT 620 is a low range GPU and there are a lot more mature. Check the video card review sites for options. You will also receive additional RAM if it is not already overexploited, usually more than a costly upgrade of CPU.

  • Possible upgrades for HP ENVY Ultrabook 6-1010ea

    Hello

the first upgrade possible is memory, the technical details on this site shows that the memory is expandable up to 8 GB, but crucial, Web site, says 16GB, so I Googled it and found many people confirming the upgrade to 16GB but their laptops produced different model than mine. If anyone here has tried to update this particular model with 16 GB of RAM?, if not, I'll buy a new 2x4gb memories or just add an another 1x4Go?

the other upgrade is the screen, and I have two options:

    1. I found a spectrum defective xt touchsmart online, so I was wondering if it is possible to replace the screen of my desire 6 with the spectrum one like the design of chassis and dimensions on both are almost identical.

    2. I found a site that sells FHD screens for several models of HP ENVY, but unfortunately 6 isn't one of them, so do you know if one of the listed templates has the same screen as 6?

    Thank you.

    Hello

If Crucial shows what an upgrade to16Gb recommendedand sells memory for your laptop, then it is compatible. It is a major memory manufacturer who guarantees the compatibility of products.

The display for the 6-1010ea Ultrbook part number is 686602 - 00.

  • Free Windows 10 Upgrade for Inspiron N4110 - is it ready?

This morning, I discovered a Windows 10 logo on my notification bar, clicking on it shows that I am now eligible to download Windows 10.

I have a Dell Inspiron n4110, processor Core i3, 4 GB RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I use mostly my laptop to record podcasts, and I need specific access to the recording of the stereo mixer on the sound card.

My laptop is ready for Windows 10? Windows 10 is ready to upgrade my laptop with zero problems?

    Hi kamnet,.

Currently there is NO driver compatible Windows 10 available for this model, however, you will need to check if you can install the 0r 8 Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode in Windows 10.

  • Ivy Bridge CPU Upgrade for Inspiron 620

As stated above, I have a 620 Inspiron with a Core i3 2120 which is a Sandy Bridge processor. I have the opportunity to get a Core i5 3570 for a very good price, which is a processor Ivy Bridge, but the word is that the Ivy Bridge processors can be used in some of the Sandy Bridge motherboards with a BIOS update. According to my system in the Device Manager devices, I have the drivers for chipset H61. However, I can't have an answer directly from anyone or not an Ivy Bridge CPU will work in my computer. I thought that maybe someone from Dell could help me this clear up because I'm not sure I can return the CPU as soon as I remove it from the box. It would be a fairly expensive mistake. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think that it will be possible, because Dell does not have a BIOS for your specific model supporting Ivy Bridge. They may have sold a 620 with Ivy Bridge, however the more specific model number will be different, and they contain different parts and require different BIOS. For example on the number of specific model, the original Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series had a model number of 7537, the new 15 Inspiron 7000 (same model) series has a model number of 7547 (different specific model number)

Hi, I and Inspiron E1505 and I was wondering how much it would cost to upgrade to an Inspiron 1525 comparable.  The 1525 is replacement of the E1505 is not it?  My E1505 has Vista with a CPU T7200, 2GB of RAM, 120GB HD, built in WiFi G Intel, Mobility Radeon X 1400, upgraded Sound Blaster Audigy.

I can't remember the price of precisley, but it was about $1,200.  As I said, I want to upgrade to an Inspiron 1525 comparable.  What kind of trade option does Dell give for something like that?  Thanks in advance!

  • Absolutely the best possible upgrade for a Dell Dimension C521 graphics card?

I've been upgraded to a Dell Dimension C521, that I use as a general computer and play games.

I know that he will never play in recent games, although with the x 1300 pro that was in it when I got it I have successfully played 2 games or 3 years and more. Runs of Prince of Persia: the forgotten sands, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Darksiders without any problem (all parameters lowish and resolution 800 x 600).

Since I got it I upgraded the CPU to an AMD Athlon 64 x 2 5600 + (Windsor) and the RAM from 2 GB to 4 GB, which has cost me about £25.

I really want to update the graphics card to something better than the Radeon x 1300 Pro that I have atm. I am aware that the PSU is only 280W and I need a map of low profile for this machine, although I read Dell generally insufficiently misses their PSUS in any case. All the posts I can find here and elsewhere online seem to be old enough and I wanted to make sure that I had discovered so far had not become outdated.

So far, I found that the recommended card is the Radeon HD 6570.

Can anyone suggest something better? If not, can anyone suggest what specific version of the 6570 to get (Sapphire, Asus etc.) and the amount of memory to get with it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Can anyone suggest something better?

XFX R7 240 Low Profile Ready

30 watts TDP, against 54 watts TDP for the 6570. Faster, too.

A version of the R7 240 GDDR5 will be even faster, but more money, as well.

  • Possible upgrade for my card WIFI (AR9285) (AR9280) Dv7-3065dx

    DV7-3065dx

    Windows 7 Edition Home Premium x 64

Hello, I am looking to update my map of current wireless (AR9285) for the ATHEROS AR9280 network so I can use my signal of 5 GHz of routers. It seems that when you shop, the AR9280 and AR5BHB92-H model number are interchangeable and I'm a bit hesitant to buy one on eBay because I don't know if they are really the same card or not. Another approach, that I took was looking in the maintenance manual for the part number of HP for the AR9280 and lists 518437-001 and it pulls up to some more expensive options to eBay.

For me, to go with the item listed indicating the number 518437-001 HP substitution feel safest, but it's because I don't know much on the subject, but I don't want to be a sucker newbie who buys the article itself at a marked up price.

My questions: are AR9280, AR5BHB92-H, 518437-001 the same card? I'm going to face problems of 'white list' with all the options? Also are there better options that I can look?

    I really appreciate the help.

    Hello:

Change a wireless card in an HP laptop, it's nothing less than a nightmare.

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02638165.PDF

Supported wireless adapters can be found in Chapter 3, beginning on page 3-6.

You can install one of the maps in the manual and it MUST have the part number HP on it or it won't work.

It's nice to buy a card supported on eBay, but you must query the HP part number, not the number of brand/model of the card.

First of all, I would like to input the part # s in the box on the link below and check the part number matches the description that you see in the list of the parts and the manual because several times the numbers in the manual is incorrect.

    http://h20141.www2.HP.com/hpparts/default.aspx?mscssid=2CC545FB8E2B4351A889652C6EADF3C1

According to the manual, there are only 2 cards of 5.0 GHz band supported (if the descriptions in the parts store game).

    1 Atheros 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN module 9280AGN

    2. 4322 Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN module

The numbers are specific to each region so make sure that you select the right part number for the country you live.

  • Inspiron 1720 WXGA upgrade to WUXGA

I want to update some of my components on my laptop. I have the Inspiron 1720 with the WXGA screen, I want to know if I can improve it for the WXGA. If it is possible, will it take a new inverter Board? Thanks in advance.

Indeed, will need you a new Panel and inverter, plus a new cable LVDS (the cable that connects the motherboard and display within the system board).

Given the age of the system, expect a decline as well major performance (higher resolution screen will require much more GPU power to run).
