PowerPoint to PDF, back to PowerPoint

Hello

I'm testing Adobe Acrobat XI for my company to use as a review tool. I created training materials in PowerPoint 2010. I then used the send Adobe PDF"option for shared Review" in PowerPoint. The reviewers used annotation tools to add their comments. Now I convert the PDF file into a PPTX so that I can make the changes.

The text and the images came back perfectly, but no updates on the master page.

In tools, I went to editing content > export a file to... > presentation PowerPoint from Microsoft. When I open the PPTX, mostly looks good, but it is not actually available to the master of the theme I created it in. In addition, some items are not presented properly.

In Acrobat, I also tried file > save as... > Presentation (.pptx) with the same results. In PowerPoint, I can reapply the original theme and reset each page layout, but it's a lot of rework.

Is it possible to create a PowerPoint presentation, convert it to PDF and then convert PowerPoint while keeping the original theme and layouts?

Thank you!

Answer simple - don't. When you export to PDF, all the internal structure of the design of the presentation is lost, along with graphics, WordArt, etc., so Acrobat must make wild guesses about what is on a master page. While it cannot recreate the 'original' and was never designed for.

The correct workflow is to make the changes to the PPTX original file * hand *, using the comments as a guide PDF.

We are trying to do for a second series of signatures, but it is essentially destroy the first set of signatures when download us it in.

Yes, you can use a pdf copy previously signed as a starting document, and none does not allow it to get more signatures.

When you create transaction Echosign, that you want to include all the signatories. A signature that is happening in the order. The document is sent first to the first recipient, when they sign it moves to another until all parties have signed.

  • SAY do not check in the PDF back to the Complutense University of MADRID

    Hello

I put TELLING you 'open' a document instead of default 'view'. Now, when I "opened" a Microsoft Word document, it is extracted. I can modify it, and when recording, it is extracted in Complutense University of MADRID a new revision by SAY.

When I do the same thing with the PDF, I try to open a PDF file, it opens and not re-recorded in UCM after save and close. I have to checkin explicitly the document to the Complutense University of MADRID.

If I use Adobe Writer, it works well.

However, even with the Adobe reader software, should not order the full doc. After the closure of the doc, it should ideally placed to the AAU. This work is designed?

    Thank you

I expect that hit you the questions with the support of adobde for WebDAV, which is best described as limited.

There will be a number of customers who will not support WebDAV to record new content in the Complutense University of MADRID

    Hi debbiek53961447,

Yes, you can convert the PDF back to the PowerPoint presentation using Acrobat software.

You can download a free trial using this link: https://www.acrobat.com/en_us/free-trial-download.html#

Once the program is downloaded and installed successfully, you must go to file-> export to-> Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to convert your file.

  • Text and PDF is faded, semi transparent and unreadable.

    Hello
Since the installation of Firefox 6, when I tried to open a PDF file, the image looks like it summer flows in a bad copy machine that is almost out of ink and is semi-transparent. (I can see the background image to display on my desktop via the PDF). I have Adobe Reader X 10.1.0 installed version, which seems to be the last plugin. (I checked all my plug-ins Adobe are up-to-date and also disabled every plugin but Adobe Acrobat and the problem persists.) I also noticed this problem with some of the text in the Flash applications, I opened it, such as practical a quiz site for a manual that I use for school. This does not occur in Internet Explorer, or when I open a PDF file in the viewer Adobe, leading me to think it's a Firefox problem. It's pretty frustrating that I can't read my documents online or study for my exams using Firefox, because overall, it's my browser of choice. Counsel on how I can try to fix this problem? Thank you.

I have Firefox 6 (but several versions have the same problem) and was faced with the same problem and finally found the Solution. Firefox has hardware acceleration is enabled by default. You must disable.

You can do it under Tools-> Options-> advanced. Uncheck the hardware acceleration

1, type about: config in your address bar and promise to be careful, then search in gfx.direct2d.disabled preference name.
    Double-click the preference to True.

2, check disable it Firefox Direct2D and DirectWrite Hardware Acceleration.
Find the name of the preference gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.enabled .
    Double-click the preference to false.

Restart Firefox. You should get clear, sharp images as well as correct rendered PDF back. It worked for me!

  • print to PDF files in Windows 8.1

I cannot print a file in PDF format. It is the basic story.

I have Windows 8 and I have upgraded to Windows 8.1 when the upgrade became available. All this time I never had problems to print a file to a PDF document. Then I had some major problems with Windows in general and had to do a full system reset which wiped out all my files and reinstalled Windows 8. Then I installed Windows 8.1 again and now there no option in my printers to print a file in PDF format.

How can I get that back?

I had this problem and got the ability to print to PDF back by reinstalling Acrobat.

  • See pdf on Treo Pro

I get pdf documents created by the creator of Oracle pdf and Adobe Reader 2.5 version provided with the Treo Pro opens blank pages. If I open it on my pc and resave using Adobe Acrobat Pro, then transfer them to the Treo Pro I can view fine. I assume that there is a problem with the Oracle pdf creator, but there is nothing I can do about it. Does anyone know if any third-party pdf viewing software will open these files?

Well I fixed it. I downloaded a freeware for Windows Mobile pdf viewer. Pocketxpdf.

    http://pocketxpdf.sourceforge.NET/

Problem solved. I think it was a matter of version that the Acrobat Lite 2.5 as that provided with the Treo Pro could not deal with PDFs 1.1 really old version. I have Acrobat Pro on my pc and can only generate PDFs back to 1.4.

  • Backup file that it changes more small PDF type file size point and vertical scaling

I have an Adobe Illustrator CS6 document with body copy using 6.5 PT. Neue Helvetica LT STD - Bold Condensed & Light Condensed.

After you save the file as a PDF in Illustrator by using the [smallest file size] parameter, closing and opening of the newly saved in Illustrator - PDF text of 6.5 PT is now 5.53 PT with a vertical scaling of 117.65%.

This PDF file is for purposes of customer review - on the screen or laser print - not for reproduction. We try to keep the file size as small as possible to make the download and attachments manageable.

In this case, my client opens the PDF file in Illustrator to check the sizes of text for legal and regulatory purposes.

If I record the same Illustrator file to PDF using other parameters as [high quality Print], the size of the text is unchanged.

I was able to repeat the question using Helvetica LT Std instead of Helvetica Neue LT Std.

I have attached a few screenshots for reference.

    Screenshot Source Illustrator

    illustrator_source.png

    Acrobat PDF screenshot

    acrobat_pdf.png

I found this old net 2011 where someone had the same problem - but has never been resolved:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/915047

well I was able to recreate the issue with the exact same font and numbers - matched both of your screenshots.

To summarize "preserve Illustrator editing capabilities.

He seems less to do with the "smallest file size" preset as it does with the box "preserve Illustrator editing capabilities". If you click on that even with the smallest size of selected file, you should not have the question - BUT you will have a much larger file (especially if there is high-resolution images).

Now, with the default size"small file" read PDF in Acrobat it was always pulling up to 6.5 not reducing the size. Opening the rear PDF file in AI causes problems. I trying to reinterpret the changes made to the police (follow-up etc.) but since "Keep editing functions Illustraor" is not checked, it is basically guessing as to what he must do to match like the appearance of the font in the PDF file. Yes police is smaller but the extra vertical scale of the changes that it is visually a game tight.

So if you save a PDF file without editing functions of checked you will have some funky things happen if you open this PDF back in artificial intelligence ('high quality' preset editing a checked).

If your client wants to open in artificial intelligence, you will have to give them a larger file with Ia editing capabilities. To try a free Dropbox account or Hightail account.

  • Conversion of PDF to Outlook?

I converted PDF file to an Outlook folder, deleted the folder in outlook to clean my outlook, now I want to convert my PDF back to the folders and outlook files? Any ideas?

  • FM10: "Adobe PDF" disappeared from the Print Setup. Help?

So, I'm working on my client's cell phone (I'm on the site) with installed Frame10. It was working fine last time I used it.

To print a book in the 'Adobe PDF' format and the option is no longer in my printing configuration.

The only thing that has changed since the last use is the system tried (and failed) to load the Acrobat X Pro 10.1.3 update. (Running 10.1.2).

I can still run Acrobat X Pro without any problem.

I can always generate PDFs of the word with no problems.

So... the question is... How to get Adobe PDF back in FrameMaker as an option? (I am clipping and my searches are coming from useless.)

    Thanks for the pointers.

    Thanks Jeffa nd Harry.

I tried the solution of control panel - Adobe wasn't there.

I tried the repair - it failed.

I removed the Creative Suite and re-installed. All reinstalled successfully except... Acrobat.

It is now to be nuked/pavers and I'll be reinstall TCS2.5 and CS5.5. Whee!

  • How to add a page to landscape in a Portrait in the Pages document

    Hello!
I need to add a page to landscape in a Portrait in the Pages document and cannot find how to do that for a single page and any thing.

Thanks in advance for your clues!

    Camille.

Export your page landscape in PDF format. Drag and drop this landscape PDF back into your document Portrait where you want it placed. With her still selected, click the reorder, text wrapping set to None and then use the rotation below on the Layout Panel to rotate your PDF to 90 ° of article.

You may need to set the resize to the size of origin and put proportional scaling.

  • Should what programs I make and distribute forms?

    Hello

I'm loking for an answer on how best to do that as long as a company we are trying to do. I want to be able to take sheets of paper that are currently being filled by mechanics and convert them to PDF forms that they fill out on a shelf in the shop. Then, I want them to be able to email me the full version of the PDF back to register in our system and keep on our records. My question is simply what is the best way to achieve this. We have not purhcased anything yet regarding the Adobe programs or tablets. We are eager to convert to a system that produces less paper.

A full version of Adobe Acrobat will be enough to create the fillabe a PDF file that we could then distribute to the mechanical tablets with adobe reader on them or each mechanic will have the full version itself in order to modify it and save it?

Thanks for any help in advance.

You can create forms with Acrobat. On the side of the Tablet, you need to use a PDF Viewer that is able to use interactive forms. The PDF Viewer integrated for iOS is not any support for forms. Others, as Adobe Reader have limited support and PDF Expert from some Readdle as (iOS only) have the best support. None has as full support as player for Mac and Windows. It begins to matter more if you used advanced form features or JavaScript.
