Precomposition of vector layers of Duik Rig

I have a character imported from illustrator on different layers, arm, hands, body etc.

IM want to do an installation with duik, but I may also need to have the character move vertically as well. I've seen a few threads on the precomposition layer in illustrator to be fat, then resize it down into the main computer, but I was wondering how I would go to this topic for the rigging. I precomp each individual layer? Is it possible to precomp all layers and retain certain functionality.

These are the functions that I need in my bench.

-J' I need to be able to switch the visibility of individual layers on the fly for different poses

-the test stand on the scale without loss of resolution (like the zoom of a camera, I'm not sure how duik platforms work with 3d layers)

-move the individual layers with controllers like the eyes and hands.

So big IM wondering what is the best course of action in dealing with the size of the platform, most of the people just keep all their regular layers in 1 composition and it rig with all the stems of the puppet and so fourth? Or are they doing something else.

None of this is important. Cannot use the continuous rasterization with DUIK because he throws the calculations in the expression he uses because of how that sort of thing. All you can do is to design your model as large as you may need it and to adjust it up and down to the level of the conventional pixel according to the needs.

  • sampleImage() and vector layers

I am using sampleImage to scan an alpha channel of the layer with a great success.

Until I started working with vector layers.

    Here are my questions:

The sampleImage function works differently on the layers form and text-

It scans the layer from dimensions of the composition and not the layer - which means that if a text layer is off the screen that the sampleImage will find not all pixels not transparent.

This is unlike the layers AV in which sampleImage scans the layer itself, regardless of the position in the model. So same transparent non-pixels who are off the screen of the computer are analyzed.

Anyway around this and enjoy a layer of text or form regardless of the comp? I think a very long way to get this done by using a double model resized to match the sourceRecAtTime of the form/text layer, the layer solo and analysis the precomp duplicate, but that seems to be a chore...

Another question, I've found is with layer of film vector (for example, an illustrator file) that has the collapse Transformations switch activated - sampleImage returns completely different values with this option disabled... did not understand the boss again. Anyone encountered before?

    Thanks a bunch

    Roy

Since some versions, layers have a method sourcePointToComp() and compPointToSource(), so with the sourceRectAtTime method you should be able to scan the right area in coordinates of the layer, and then transform into the space of the model.

  • Placement of PSD in Muse (keep vector layers)

So, to me, Muse is for those who like me. One can conceive, but can't code. Is mainly for designers without any knowledge of HTML or CSS. Well, I think that Muse needs to make some improvements to be really go - to a designer for web design tool.

I always prefer from a Web site concept in Illustrator or Photoshop. It manages and renders perfectly the images, the texts and the vectors. Everything seems perfect pixel. That's why I prefer first to build an entire website in Photoshop, then export items and re - organize in Muse.

The problem with this process is that it is very time consuming. When I discovered that I could put a PSD file layers in Muse, I was excited! BUT this feature is a bit late... All layers of the PSD are treated as a raster image. Logos and even some elements of text, I like to use SVG (which is awesome that the Muse can import SVG now). But this place PSD tool is useless to these smart object layers in the PSD file. This should be a feature to be added to reflect the new SVG support in Muse.

On a side note / problem, Muse' manipulation of SVG files is quite poor. It is not something like the management of a vector in Illustrator or Photoshop. It has the loading wheel launch style when moved and size and has this curious white bar below each image in the preview of Muse. I wish that muse would make things right in the Muse. It's very frustrating as a graphic designer obsessed with pixel.

Adobe, please take note and add them to your to-do list!

Thanks for your comments, please feel free to add your suggestions in our ideas section. We are actively working to include more features.

  • How to remove the default 'Contours' text when creating forms of vector layers?

    Hi all!

You know the text, it adds to the layer name when you create forms of a vector layer who says the contours? Well, someone knows if it is possible to change it or remove it?

It sucks to have to remove it manually, especially when there are a lot of layers and you took the time to prepare them in illustrator.

    Thankss,

    Oliver

So the answer is no, there is no way to automate this process. There is no rename the lot for layers in AE, Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design or any other application I've ever used and that has layers.

  • Help tip. The addition of vector layers using shape tool

This is something that has annoyed me for a few versions and I'm sure someone has a tip for that.

When I use the tool shape layer, I get a solid with a vector mask color. The tool always makes a new layer, whenever I use the tool. So to get around this, I take my shapes (one for each layer) and then use the path Selection tool and copy / paste between layers of shape layer.

How can I draw another shape on a selected vector mask? (I want to build shapes composed of Pathfinder-like)

Yes, press the SHIFT key to add to the current shape layer (vector mask).

  • Duik OS created in wrong locations

I created my character in illustrator with a bunch of different layers (one for arms, those different for every hand, etc.

I brought sequels, import all the legacy vector layers (making sure to constantly pixelation is on).

It seems with Duik, I need to create bones for each individual layer and can not use an OS for several PIN codes (which I'm not used since I am experienced enough in 3D, but not 2D editing) but when I create a PIN on say the coat of arms, I put 3 pins (shoulder, elbow, wrist) , and then rename the pins correctly, and when I click on a PIN and create a BONE he created the OS with the correct name and the bones are connected to the arm, however there are some places really far away, sometimes even outside of the axis of the puppet. The arm Illustrator layer is not related to anything either.

I tried everything just to have a layer of regular shape with a PIN and Duik will create the os very well, but not on any illustrator layers. Nothing is named the name or something like that, no one knows why this is?

    bone_Creation.jpg

Oh, and he is the culprit:

    (ensuring continuous rasterization is on).

This is absurd. The puppet tool is still a conventional distortion effect which operate on pixels, not native vector contour. You make a mess of the coordinates, where the expressions used by DUIK may not work correctly. I advise you to read the help on the subject on when to use CR and when not.

  • Pixelation continues with confined comps, 3D layers and caches

I have a project consisting only of objects HAVE contained in comps, used with 3D and I have a similar problem to many I've seen on this forum, but I tried all the solutions provided without result.

The lowest model level are a few layers to HAVE that are animated to the comp. appeal he comp A.

Two copies of model A are in comp B, each track stuck with another layer of HAVE.

Model B five copies are in C comp.

Model C is placed repeatedly in 3D space in the main computer where a camera moves beyond.

All vector layers are 3D and set its CR

All the layers of the model are in 3D and NOT worth CT

Without the appropriate parameters for CR/CT, caches everywhere drag (but rasterization of things well).

WITH the settings above, nothing not rasterized correctly (but the caches work). The compositions appear returned to the original format of the model A, which is highly pixelated (or blurred with quality facing up) that the camera is moving beyond.

I tried precomposition caches and their objects contained in comp B in their own model (also according to settings above) and got no change.

Of course, with hindsight, I could have climbed A comps objects, B and C, but at this time the project is in the final stage and I am wary of all the settings needed to go this route (it also seems like a very bad way to go about working with vector graphics).

Can anyone help, or it's just the way that is AE? (I'm experienced enough, but 1 year <.)

    Thank you for this forum.

Here's what you're probably missing. We're going to implement something very simple. You have a hand Comp and a PreComp. The main computer contains the PreComp and a camera. The PreComp contains only single-layer - TestShape which is a 20 X 20 pixel solid red and he has a circular mask applied so that it looks like a point. When you add a mask to a solid you've essentially turned this vector layer in a layer.

Let's go through a certain number of things in the PreComp. With the fist, TestShape 600% globally and look at the edges. They are a mess. Turn on continuous rasterization and they are perfect.

Look at the model of the hand and intensify the layer PreComp 600%, and the terrible aspect of the edges. Turn on the Transformations of the collapse and the edge is sharp.

Note that I used two different terms for the same key. Collapse Transformations only applies to layers that are compositions. This means that elements inside this composition are treated as if they were in the main computer. In other words when the collapse Transformations is applied we are scaling of the TestShape layer 600%, then who still 600% effectively making the layer 3600% greater. Who do you follow? It is important.

Now back to the PreComp and add a solid second blue circular 20 X 20 with a mask. Call the Blue Solid 2 TestShape and make it 3D and turn on CR. Add a camera to the comp. Adjust the z value of the layer 2 TestShape so that the layer is about the same size as the 2D TestLayer. If the layer of TestShape is proportional to 600%, then the position of the Z TestLayer 2 will be about 80% of the value of the camera Zoom. Now the position of the camera X just a little to the right in order to have a blue circle overlapping a red circle in your COMP. Turning CR on and off the layer of TestShape 2 to see how it works. Pass the TestShape layer 2 more near the camera is exactly as the scaling of the layer.

Now return to your hand Comp. With CT turned on, you should see only the blue circle. This is because CT is ignorant of the camera in the nested model and using only the Active camera in the MainComp. Disable the CT and you will see what you see in the demo, but the edges will be soft. The only way to get the same point across in two compositions is to copy the camera in the PreComp and paste it into the nested model.

Here is one more interesting thing happens. If you do the PreComp one 3D layer it will multiply the value of the position of all 3D layers in the PreComp making camera movements to an interesting but impossible to deal with. In this example if you were to make 3D PreComp it would look like the blue layer has disappeared, but simply move the camera back and it will appear again.

Now let's add a matte by creating a new rectangular solid that is 1000 pixels wide and 200 pixels high and add a mask elliptical. This 600% increase scale use as a matte and turn on or off the CR. The results should be predictable. If you make a layer of mast track 3D move the Z position will not affect what is frosted and outside in the nested model. If you had 2 3D layers in the nested model you cannot move the cache by approach between the two 3D layers and mask only one of them.

I hope this helps. This is a good exercise to help you understand how CT and CR. Beginning throw in effects and learn more.

  • PDF with Images - layers of white text showing on picture - how to remove?

Hi all, I was sent a multi-page pdf. When I go online (in firefox or chrome), the pdf file seems perfect. When I print the pdf and then open the PDF on my system, it shows the pdf with white text on any word. I opened the PDF in illustrator and saw immediately that there is a layer of white text. If I delete the layer, everything looks ok.

The layer of fonts on all pages are presented. They are not necessary, how do I remove the layer of outline fonts in acrobat? Its a huge file with many pages.

So firstly I would like to know what has caused this? What is an accessibility issue forced? Second how to remove all text white file so that I can see actually correctly?

    Difficulty.

Open pdf file and using preflight. Clicked on the key and sought to "create different layers for text vector image. Since there are no layers. It will ask you to save the pdf file. Save, then open the layers and uncheck vector layers. Return to the preflight and key key and double-click on the content of the layer lay hidden and flatten visible layers. It will ask you to register.

New file will now appear not text. Acrobat documents it's terrible!

I draw web-graphics and icons. I often use vector layers for scalable graphics. So, sometimes I need snaps to the pixel grid is turned on, sometimes I need it's off?

Whenever I press Ctrl + K to open the dialog box Preferences checkbox enabled. It will be great to have shortened keyboard or button in the options bar to LENGTH fast.

    Is an idea?

You can record an Action and assign a keyboard shortcut.

  • HAVE to be converted to AE vector object error & timeline extend

    Hi all

Get a little lost on this new version of AE 20141 and the project that I am currently working on is very weird...

First question, I tried to convert the layers that I imported file to vector layers, but this message continue jumping & won't let me convert any layer:

    Screen Shot 2014-10-20 at 8.40.02 AM.png

HAVE all of the layers in the file has no effect and any object and the text are described.

Second question, on the same project, the calendar only join 01f:

    Screen Shot 2014-10-20 at 8.43.31 AM.png

Any number, I put in the parameter in the composition of adjustment, with a selected clip, nothing has changed on the Panel of the time period.

    Screen Shot 2014-10-20 at 8.44.59 AM.png

    Thank you

The two problems are because you imported your Illustrator files as a sequence of still images. You must re-import the. Files HAVE.

In the import dialog box, make sure that the option for PDF/Illustrator/EPS sequence is disabled.

  • Continously Rasterize all layers when rendering

Hi, I am looking for a switch in After Effects CS6 that allows me to restore the sandbox vector layers. I can't continually use only the layers because I have my pre composed in layers 3d vector graphics and to rasterization of masking and continues having layers will NOT properly work on these types of effects of rasterization. So I need a work around. My instructor told me there is a switch that can reproduce permanently vector info rasterize when the video is ready to return to after. I need this so I can keep the continually raster button on the layers of people so that the layers will continue to work with the 3D and masking, still have final video have crisp vector graphics. It this possible yet, it nor can I find a swithch that does this in AE CS6. He says he may have been taken out of AE CS6 is this true?

Your instructor is false. If CR breaks your vector effects or masks, then it will break on the rendering. There should be a way for you to organize your model you can create your vectors and then add effects. It is a matter of organization and where you make animations.

If you wish you can post the project or at least a screenshot of the project with a flow chart so that we can give you a helping hand.

  • How to remove anti-aliasing of vector images?

Hello. Currently, I'm editing of bitmap images that are embattled, and I did a lot of vector shape layers.

And what I want to do is delete the antialiasing of all vector layers because if they are embattled, they may not fit into images above non-crenelees bitmap.

I found an option to display images vector aliasing, I mean "Layer image quality" option in the control panel time line and I put "draft", but if I turn my sequence, AE allow me to make the project, the vector image of aliasing. They are castellated. AE ignores the project setting and makes the layers as best qualities, crenellated vector images.

So I want to ask how do I completely remove the anti-aliasing of vector image.

    Please help me. Thank you.

AE ignores the project setting and makes the layers as best qualities, crenellated vector images.

It does that, because you are using bad rendering parameters. Check the detailed options for the layer switches in the control panel of render settings and use the "settings" rather than the best quality.
