Printer begins to print 2 inches high on the top of the paper

I have a HP Deskjet 3520 E-Print, and I use the printer as airprint, with my Macbook Air running on OS 10.8. Whenever I try to print a 8.5x13"document, it starts printing after 2 inches of margin and edge of the paper.

Hope someone can help me...

Also, when I try to use a cable rather than use airprint, it prints perfectly. at the same time on the letter and 8.5 x 13 "size.

HI tlim45,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I understand that the document is not correctly print from a mobile device.

I'll be happy to help you.

I have provided a document for Airprint printing.

This paper size is not supported according to specifications using Airprint.

How to use AirPrint on Apple wireless. Go to what size paper and media are supported?

I hope this helps.
Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.
Have a great weekend!

The text is too high on the paper.  I can solve this problem when you generate letters and reports, etc. by simply letting a larger margin superior, but I cannot produce sheets of labels.

I tried to change the paper size under tray settings/Main properties/device of the "letter" to "A4" - click on apply and OK - but when I check that the setting is always "letter".  Don't know if this is causing the problem, but if the book 'Letter' measures are lower than those of the A4 paper, he could be--and I wondered why I couldn't set this parameter.

The printer is related to the Windows XP laptop and desktop Windows Vista computers.

If the changes are not stick when made directly in the driver, the driver is probably corrupted. Try to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver and software package. I'll link the latest version below. Let me know what happens.

  • HP officejet 4630 will not print on both sides of the paper

Unable to print on both sides of the paper. The backsideprints first, then wait for the ink to dry, front end starts to print then stops with a windows error message popping up on the screen saying cannot print the document.

I found that I can't print multiple pages either. For example, I decided to print the document of 4 pages in the form of simple pages only (since double-sided would not work) and the results were first page print second page prints on a third, and then just stop with error message this printer cannot print the pdf document. If I had to select each separately page to finnally get all four printed pages. HP print and scan diagnosis says theres no problem. Windows diagnostics says there is no problem.

Obviously there is a problem can offer advice and the solution?

    Thank you

    To all,

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I would like to point out that the problem was solved and printer works fine.

The solution is one of the two things?

First, I opened the windows firewall and allows all applications and processes to pass through. There may be a few dozens of them, some have been verified and how some have been blocked. I checked all except those who started with 'remote '.

Second, I went on the printer software and returned the IP address of the printer. It was the same as the IP address, but somewhere on the microsoft blog, I read that windows and routers sometimes lost the IP address. That's why I'm re-entered.

I don't know which of these fixed the issue, but one of them did.

    Thanks again

I think that it is an old printer and it MUST have a duplex unit to be able to print both side automatically if yu have to print manually (turn inside papers yourself):

  • print on both sides of the paper

I have a Brother printer that is capable of printing on both sides of the paper.  I have 10 Windows and the version of Adobe Reader X installed 10.1.15.

My function for printing on both sides of the paper is no longer appears on my screen printing options.  I can do this on other applications, Word etc.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Hey leathac52847786,

Do a selection for printing on Both Sides option is the features of your printer, no drive.

You may need to make sure your printer supports duplex printing and this feature is not cut.

Please consult the following KB link doc and see about the same:

    Double-sided printing. Acrobat, Reader

Let me know if this helps.

    Kind regards

  • HP 6700: Problem printing labels - try to change the paper type - thought that of why they're smuggling?

Can not find the path to printer to change the paper type?  Any help is appreciated. Thank you

    @GWCampbell

In the printing preferences, use the closest 'brochure' or 'thick' or other media type cardstock that you will find in the list of available paper types.

    Example:

Control Panel > display icon > devices and printers > right click on your printer >

Printing preferences > tab paper / quality > media

    Reference and examples:

More top question is self-sufficient.  Is there something in HP, or what is printer drivers work in anything but Internet explore?

    Hello

Try to go to "Print preview" (right click somewhere on the page).

You will see a button print - click on it.

Now, you will see the printer dialog box - go to preferences

Now you should be able to set the Duplex Mode for your printer.

    I hope this helps.

  • I am told that my 6500 a - all-in-one - can't print on both sides of the paper. Is this true?

I just replaced an old HP 840C with the 6500 has and can not find a way to make 2 sided.  After 1 1/2 hours on 'live chat', I was told that this model can not do this.  If so, it is totally amazing and will result in my black-Linting total of HP products in the future.

    Is anyone aware of this?

Hi Bob - after almost a year, I'm finally back with the same problem-no duplex option.  Did you ever find another driver that works on the 6500c and will offer the duplex option?

    Jerry

Sorry Jerry, I was never able to get copy double-sided working on the Officejet 6500.  It seems that the firmware of this device does not print duplex commands, even if supported a driver that supports duplex printing is used and a duplexer is attached.

    Hello

HERE , the info can help.

  • Printing one or both sides of the paper

I have a new Officejet 6500 has more all-in-one printer with the ability to print on both sides of the paper.  It is configured to print on both sides right now, and I want to be able to change the setting for single side or double side easily, if needed, but I can't find instructions on how to do it.  I tried clicking on 'options', 'preferences', 'properties' etc etc but nothing seems to give me the option to select single or double sided.  How can I do?  Advice please.

Thanks Bob.  I already found a solution - there is a drop down window below the line in preferences menu that says "print on both sides", and if you select 'none', it gives unique back.  Not really intuitive, but I was given this information by another computer geek and it works!  Thanks for getting back to me well.

  • Stupid question, how does a print back to back on the Officejet 6600/6700?

    HP Officejet 6600/6700 model CV078A; Series: CN2231G0D9

    Vista 32 bit

Could not find in the manuals or in the forum.  With recent HP printers, I was able to print on both sides of the paper (for example, 1 side = Page 1; Side 2 = Page 2).  I can't understand how to do this with this version.  Do not see it in no more printing options.  Simply print us page 1.  Place it in the paper tray; can print page 2?  What seems uncomfortable with such advanced machine.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

Thanks BH.  I think I found the solution.  Your advice on Duplex helped.  I sought advice and found that I needed to go to 'Print' > Options > Advanced > Print > and check "Print on the front of the sheet for duplex printing" and "print on the back of the sheet for duplex printing.

I retried the print job, and it seemed to work.

For the people of HP you this can be a problem in Microsoft.  I guess that your parameters to make up for it during installation.  Perhaps the settings I fall on an update of MS Word; Thus, others may work in the same question.
