Printing: Hidding regions

Hello world!

I have this page that has 3 regions. the first area has buttons, the second has a list of items, and the third contains the table. I would like to only print the area that at the table when go to file-> print without selecting the option 'Print selected items' from the web browser. In addition, I would like for my people go green and print less pages as possible, try to condense everything on one page.

Is there a way when printing a page, some items can be hidden, so everything can fit into a page?

Thank you

Bino

Hello Bino,

> Is it possible when printing a page, that some items can be hidden, so everything can fit into a page?

This is not a trivial question, but it can be done using CSS Media types. You can learn more on this topic in here - http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_mediatypes.asp.

It will be useful,
Arie.

  • Show/hide region when the drop-down list is changed

    Hello

    I need show/hide a region when dropdow (selection list) is changed.

    I used dynamic action:

    Event : change
    Selection Type : Item(s)
    Item(s):P50_my_list
    condition : JS expression
    $v('P50_my_list') == 1

    True Action :
    Action : Execute JS Code
    Code : $('#region_name').show();

    // OR use Action ==> Show

    False Action :
    Action : Execute JS Code
    Code : $('#region_name').hide();

    // OR use Action ==> hide

    But the region has still shown!

    Also, I used a JS function (in the dynamic action of the place) but I met the same result.

    function showHideRegion(pValue)
    {     var show_or_hide = $x(pValue).value;
        if (show_or_hide == 1)
          {$('#ALTERNATIVEN_LIST').hide();}
        else
          {$('#ALTERNATIVEN_LIST').show();}
    }

    Hello

    I solved the problem with the js function:

    function showHideRegion (pThis, pValue)

    {var show_or_hide = $x (pValue) .value;}

    If (show_or_hide == 1)

    {

    var element = $x_UpTill (pThis, 'DIV');

    Element.style.display = 'none ';

    } else {}

    var element = $x_UpTill (pThis, 'DIV');

    Element.style.Display = "block" ;}

  • Warning to users: don't think that spending a printer from region to region will be a piece of cake

    I just thought I would add my 2 cents on the matter of the replacement of the 364 cartridges with 564 cartridges.

    I bought a 309g in Europe.  My family knew that we'd be alone in Europe temporairly so when we reviewed printers we made sure we bought one with a brick that allow the 120V - 240V conversion thinking that we could easily bring it back with us.    The printer works well in Europe and we were very happy with it.   Then we moved to the United States.  I still had ink in my 364 cartridges, while it worked fine.  Then the ink begins to become weak.  I went online and did some research and found that I couldn't buy 364 cartridges in the United States but has seen that printers 309g here used the 564.  I innocently that HP was just followed the sales of products and that thought was why they had different numbers.  I went to put in a 564 when my black ink ran out and the trouble started.  The printer will not accept the cartridge.  So I called HP Support to find out what was going on.  The representative would not help me due to the fact that my printer warranty was out.   Of course, I got the offer to pay for the support but I don't have a good feeling from him that he knew what was going on with the printer, so I refused.

    So I went back to the internet and looked deeper. I discovered that the printers are configured to accept some cartridges in their respective regions.  Now according to this forum, we need a way to change the printer to accept other cartridges of regions.  Armed with this information, I called HP Support, but this time pointed out that I was using the guarantee of $100 in cartridges, I bought and I wanted to change my area of printer.    The support guy put me on hold for a while and finally returns with 'I'm sorry, I can't help you.  I'm not allowed to exercise that function.  I'll pass you on my manager and he will contact within 24-48 hours.  It's 5 days later.

    Given that HP won't keep me from spending $$ on their cartridges, I finally decided to try filling them.  In addition, I have a child to school with missions that need to be printed.   Funny that it was HP, which led me to this action.  BUT what I didn't know is that if a cartridge is exhausted - there is a little or something that is returned in the cartridge and prevents him to work more.  ARG.  Now I am at the point to see if I can 'reset' the cartridge.   But with regard to filling - the other 4 cartridges reloaded very well and thanks to HP for pushing me towards this action, I saw that it is a great (and cheaper) alternative.

    I wished that I studied this subject a little more before letting my exhausted ink.   I hope that others can learn from my mistakes and that if they want to exchange it areas that it runs more flexible for them.   Probably, if I knew it would be this difficult to take a printer from one region to another, I would have just bought a printer cheap in Europe and then trashed it when we moved.

    Bagheerab

    HI Bagheerab,

    If you bought the printer in an area and moved to a new area, you must call customer service to ask a "regionalization Reset." Avoid any accusation to this effect; It is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works. See the document on regionalisation.

    Research and installation of the cartridges after moving to another country

  • Hide region show how to maintain the status of hide/show on send page

    APEX 4.2.1 using theme 24

    I have several areas on a single page that are defined using the "Hide Show Region" model this model defines the regions to show everything first. If a user chooses to hide a region is there a way to keep this state when the page is submitted? Example region top of page is to hide/show parent to an interactive report, below this area is a relative of region to hide/show for a tabular presentation, if the user chooses to hide the interactive report region and they enter data in the region in a table, when he clicks on save and the page is submitted the interactive report region appears and the tabular form region appears still longer down in the page and the user have to scroll down to access.  I'd rather have the page 'to remember' the State of hide/show that the user has selected for each region and keep this status when the page is sent.

    Someone has an idea how to do this?

    Thanks in advance for a suggestion to work!

    Theresas

    You have almost all the way.

    As you have probably already understood, the problem is that the code requires that regions begin closed and it will 'click' to open.  If you're one of them is already open, you have now two inverse regions.

    I think that it is better to have them both be areas closed, when the cookie should be created (we were a new cookie for that) then "click on" one you want to open and create the cookie with this region in.  From that moment of the code can continue to click on the one that was left pending.

    So, I added more code to the initial opening. I introduced the P2INIT cookie which will be set to YES the first time the page is visited.  Its only purpose is to open the region to report on the first visit.

    After that, the logic can circulate to store regions that can be opened.

    Also, I have completed the static ID of the report to better reference by name.

    Now, I have to say, if you are presenting the same data, but a game is available to edit in a tabular form, something like Page 3 would work?

    When you click on edit the grid it will hide the report and view the form in a table. When you click 'View report' he hide the form tab and view the report.

    I think it's a clean approach and the data are not queried the DB double. It also avoids the flicker of the openness of the region.  Just an idea.

    I use preferences instead of cookies.  The nice thing about the preferences, it's that they are saved in the DB for the user, so if the same user logs on to another computer or a browser preference comes with them.

    Thank you

  • Hide/region condition based on a LOV tabular

    Hi guys,.

    I have a tabular presentation that has an LOV. If the vaule that the user wants to select is not in this list, I want them to be able to create from a region within the same page.

    I have a value ' * value not listed * "within the LOV which the user can choose to create the record they need in the table that controls the LOV.

    I have a region (create an RESP) that allows the user to create the record they need.

    What I want to do is to display the box 'Create an RESP' when the user selects ' * value not listed *' in the LOV.

    I tried to assign an id (id = 'RESP') to the field LOV and then by creating a dynamic action to show/hide the region 'Create an RESP' with the equal #Resp < b > < /b > < b > selection type < /b > "jQuery Selector" ' * value not listed *'

    I couldn't get this to work for the moment.

    If someone can advise regarding how do I show/hide a region according to what is selected in a tabular presentation, LOV it would be great.

    Hope it makes sense.

  • JS need to show/hide region onFocus/onBlur

    I finally got a region change position based on what text element has to be changed. Now, I need the region if poster only when another text element has focus and then disappear when this text element loses focus.

    Most of my solution is shown and described in apex.oracle.com here .

    If you type something in one of the Nbr point text boxes, the blue div moves just below the Qty text box after the text of item Nbr box that has just been changed.

    What I have a problem with is the hide and show div blue box Within the blue div tag, you can see what I have for my showFloater and hideFloater JS.

    In addition, the other colored div behaves differently depending on your browser. For me, i.e. He's stuck at the bottom of the page but in Firefox, it floats as expected. Any ideas on that?

    Thank you

    Gregory

  • Need help with JavaScript/region templates and APEX (Show Hide region)

    I have a page that I am building where I want to use a form of a page but the swap areas (without reloading the page). In my example form, I have 3 areas I want to talk about as general, Major, Standard. I have them where they will be show and hide but the result is not satisfactory, because even if the region is hidden, the white space remains there where he was. Hello David,.

    Instead of the "visibility" of switching you must pass the 'view' of the 'block' to 'none '.
    If your code should be something like this (using the notation of APEX javascript library)

    $x("MAJOR_EVENT").style.display = 'block ';
    $x("STD_EVENT").style.display = 'none ';
