Problem in implementing Oracle approvals management (SOUL)

Hi friends,

I get an error message "no rules are applicable to this transaction" during the trial SOUL of
a real estate transaction for approval of accounts payable invoice.

# ID name and demand responsibility.
Permissions management business analyst

# Responsibility and navigation paths to reproduce.
1. implementation of Oracle approvals management.
2 implement the invoice approval workflow for accounts payable.
3. follow the test real estate transaction cases in SOUL.

Thank you very much

Through our linux server, he was installed as multi-org but AIX is not. Is there a problem with no multi-org regarding the installation of the SOUL?
We also to have no value for MO: business unit > what value should I put on this area?

Again, contact your consultant, he is the one that makes the setup and it should be able to help.

Check the output of the "trusts Reporting Utility Support management tool"?

    Hello
I use 11.2.0.3.0 version of oracle.

Currently, I have logic of encryption/decryption implemented on specific columns of the tables in our database. Designated functional Auditors
will be able to see these texts but not others.

DBA team suggested going to logical encryption/decryption of data (Transparent data encryption) transparent encryption + domain using Oracle application. But looking at the document, I'm having doubt bribes.

1 TDE will encrypt data at the level of the DATA file, but it will be always shown to the developemnt team request to plain text, then how
I can reach this column-level encryption?
2 Kingdom will provide restriction at the level of the object to users like DBA etc, but not columnlevel. So, it will limit the whole table look at a users specific access. So, it will not solve our requirement.

Please help me understand, what type of implementation oracle will send me above?

Determine what is "best" requires a few metrics to use to assess options and many more details.

A policy of the CAE is very flexible. A view definition is much less. You need flexibility? What if all you need to do is to hide a couple of columns in half of your users and show these columns for your other users and who has what set of privileges is a relatively static thing, creating a unique view and control who has access to the view and who has access to the table are relatively simple. On the other hand, if you have hundreds of different sets of users who need to be able to see the different subsets of columns or you must implement the rules as a user can display a column for a particular set of lines (i.e. a manager can see the salary of any employee who reports to him, but none of the salaries of employees) and we had to regularly change the privileges creating dozens or hundreds of views grant and revoke privileges would require a huge amount of time and effort. A single policy of the CAE, on the other hand, can be written once and requires little maintenance.

A policy of the CAE requires enterprise edition, a view does not work. If you are not already using the Enterprise edition, which can be a major expense.

A view is a relatively "obvious" thing to solve problems. Although it is quite possible to see what predicate a VPD policy applied to a given SQL statement and to debug a performance problem or a matter of functionality created by the policy of the CAE, this is a much less obvious problem. It is relatively easy to miss because of a policy of the CAE is applied to a particular SQL statement or to inadvertently test a statement with a context of session level which causes a different predicate to be applied. These are not, of course, insurmountable problems. But these are the questions that you might have to address.

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12 c Cloud Control is broken after a reboot

    People,

I use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12 c Cloud Control version 12.1.0.3.  It was all work until we rebooted the box.

Now, nothing is listening on the port 7801 more (by netstat), but if I put port 7302 instead in the browser's address bar, it'll take me actually to the OEM login page.  Once I'm connected, many things show that there are problems with communication between WHO and the agents.

The shutdown process was not very successful and cleaning, shown below.  There was a lot of java still running process that I had to kill.

This seems like a simple question, because we didn't change anything except adding memory to the box and restart.

Is there anyone experiencing the same problem?  Is there any solution to this?

    Brian

    Brian,

Can you access the console on https://oraaux1:7801 / em now?

And, you are able to start the agent by running $AGENT_HOME/bin/emctl status agent?

Regarding your initial post, is also the repository on the same host? If so, the problem could be due to the repository database was not entirely upwards when WHO launched on the reboot of the host system (gcstartup) startup script.

When the SGC does not work as expected, you can take a look at SGD/monitoring of log files for clues. If necessary, please see:

Anyone else facing this problem?  If so, no idea how fix this problem?

It turns out that this is planned, as Oracle launches a database upgrade.  This notice was posted on MOS:

    Configuration in read-only Mode data

We are making improvements to the database that contains the configuration data for My Oracle Support. During this upgrade, the client Configuration Repository (CCR) is currently in read-only mode. You can view the configuration data, but will not be able to download new configurations or change the attributes related to the configuration of the systems. The CCR will be in read-only mode until the termination of the stoppage of My Oracle Support planned this weekend.

While CCR is in read-only mode, you will see an error message:

    • In the corresponding log file during an attempt automatic download a new configuration or for offline Collector users who download their configuration as an attachment the Service request.
    • On My Oracle Support pages that access configuration data
      • Mainly under the systems tab
      • Sometimes in the Patch and sanitation recommendations

When the CCR returns to the update mode after the failure, your last successful download will remain in place as the benchmark to determine the differences with the current configuration. The next collection that you send will update your configuration and would then become the configuration used for comparisons.

Please apply for a non-technical Service or to contact the Oracle Support if you need help or have additional questions.

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager 12 c - error of SGD

    Dear team,

Please let me know how this problem can be solved.

    Grateful for your assistance.

You run emctl off $ORACLE_HOME/bin (which would begin control of single instance database tool), instead of run emctl off $OMS_HOME/bin (which begins OEM 12 c Cloud Control).

Run the following: $OMS_HOME/bin/emctl start SGD

  • Problems with utl_https, Oracle Wallet and firewall

    Hi all
We experiment utl_http and Oracle wallet and try to make a transfer of https, but we are facing some problems. I'd appreciate your help greatly if you can advise on what could be wrong. We are on db version 10.2.0.1 and Unix HP - UX and operate since in a firewall. The intention is a https url ping command and get a 200 simple answer. Future development would include documents XML get/post to this url and other interesting things. I understand that utl_http with Oracle wallet can be used for this purpose.

The portfolio was created and the ewallet.p12 exists. We downloaded the url Web site SSL certificate and downloaded in the portfolio. Everything works if I put in a url with http simple but then things work with a HTTP * S * url. Is what is called HTTPS TUNNELING required because we have a firewall? I don't know what it is or how it can be done.
I tried https with a URL internal breast of the firewall. But again, no luck. -So probably not just a firewall problem.
With HTTPS when I run the code below, I get the following error with https internal or external sites. Yet once, greatly appreciate your time and help because it is the first time us use Oracle wallet manager and don't know where to go from here.

The difference between your method and this new method is that you spend the user_name: pswd as part of the url, so here it is passed as a parameter of the set_proxy.

Using the user name and password in the proxy URL is often the easiest way to deal with authentication of the proxy - even supported under Linux with the environment variable http_proxy (that you can set for s/w to detect which is the proxy configuration, when access to the web).

Would be in him passing a part of set_proxy also be considered as in "clear text"?

Don't know exactly what it generates http traffic. Likely basic auth?

It may seem that some form of "+ encryption +" is done with basic authentication. The user name and password are strung with a colon separator and then encoded in base64. So, the resulting string seems encrypted to the human eye, but can easily be decoded again (no secret necessary to perform decoding).

So this is about as insecure as passing user name and password in clear text - darkening bit added to the meter reading it naked.

In the Windows world (where it is stuck inside and look at the free and open to the outside Standards), proxy servers often use NTLM (new technology/LAN Manager) authentication. Not this again as LanManager goes back to BACK 5 project of the 1980s. ;-)

Anyway, NTLM is a proprietary protocol and not easily supported when you code using UTL_HTTP. Basic authentication will fail in this case, the proxy expects that NTLM authentication. The workaround is to add the user name and password to the URL of the proxy (as I did in this example code).

My problem is why set_authentication does not require us to use methods "unsupported"? It seems an obvious Oracle bug that they must solve.

I think that you also use NTLM authentication on the proxy server? This isn't a standard. It is the crass seller proprietrary. No real compelling reason for other providers to support - especially not when there are open standards available and used.

We have a beautiful SR and you said that you have opened a SR before without success. I'm surprised Oracle is dropping the ball on such a useful tool.

My SR has been essentially around get UTL_HTTP proxy access work with NTLM - where workaround has been as I described. I don't see this as a particular problem, Oracle have to solve.

The question is a consequence of the decision to use proprietary protocols and "+ standards. If anyone is to blame, it's Microsoft and their attempts at blocking of clients in a complete solution of owner. Unfortunately, these attempts often succeed too.
