• Problems with the layouts and headers

  Hi I'm a newbie, trying to page layouts, I have 2 questions. I would be grateful for any help or pointers to tutorials.

  (1) I have problems with the links at the top of my page. They are text based and in a table of 2 rank. They have a huge ditch around them and no matter what I do I cannot resize the table or change the text to be less than a gap below it. Basically I have a huge gap between my links at the top of the page and the main logo and the main logo below. (and I think they are related as the h1 which I don't want that they're not really the header only links). Here's the code for that.

  (2) my second question with headers in general. As you can see in the code I have a "My Site_logo.png', as the main logo for the site, what concerns me is pointing to it as the main h1 header so that when the spiders come to visit, either by the additional logo or html, they read that the site is called"My Site"the main header. How can I make the logo/title of the h1 of the code section? I'm afraid of making a mess of the code at this point, so any help is very appreciated!

  In the first cell of the table, you have a tag h1 (header tag) (see below), in this tag you inserted two break tags
  by pressing return on your keyboard twice. These breaks are reduced the height of the first row of the table, that's why you have all the space under your links.

  At the moment you have nothing apart from 2
  tags in your h1 tag (see above answer to your first quetsion.

  Purposes of search engine, you can encapsulate your image in an h1 tag and provide an overview of more descriptive than "My Site Logo" for the images 'alt' tag

  The difference between the models of the region is that the Standard region has defined Points of view and the show/hide does not work. This is the mysterious properties that Oracle has not yet bothered to document. Their omission of this model is indeed likely to be a bug.

  Create a copy of the region show/hide template and add a point of view for the body of the region (content):

  Name: Body of the region

  Substitution of template: BODY

  Grid Support: Checked

  The maximum fixed grid columns: - 1

• Problems with the layout inside the af: popup

  I have an af:popup and I have tried several things for my components layout, but nothing seems to work.
  Ideally, I want to have 2 panelDashboard next to each other, each filling 50% of the pop-up window. Because this does not work, I tried with af:table instead, but I had the same behavior. Most of the time, a single component is displayed or the second pane appears very narrow but it never fills the entire width of my popup.
  
  So here are some of my tests:

  I tried a mixture of things. With or without the panelStretchLayout, with or without the panelGroupLayout. I even tried with a h:panelGrid instead of groupLayout.
  I also tried adding a panelSplitter instead of panelGroupLayout, but nothing seems to work.
  I also tried setting the styleClass AFStretchWidth panelGroupLayout/grid/separator but that did not work as well. I also tried to adjust the dimension to the stretchLayout motor, but also did not work.
  
  As you can see, I tried all sorts of things, but nothing really seems to work. I'm missing something here...

  When I use this code, full width is used, but the last panelDashboard is even wider than the popup. The strange thing about this is the moment I remove both the outputText dummy, I see only a single panelDashboard in the popup which is very narrow...

  Things to note:

  1. the external panelDashboard is used to provide 2 equal columns (50% distribution). The rowHeight is set to 100% to fill all the way down with a single line.
  2 panelDashboard is absolutely brilliant when it comes to networking. You just use the good values of column and rowHeight.
  3. do NOT use inlineStyle on any component, unless you absolutely must. Dialog box has the properties width and height builtin.

• ADF clear the table of filter criteria in the sub-tab

  Scenario: Parent Page has an input field main and two strips of void. Each sub tab is a taskflow region.

  second sub-tab contains a table with filter enabled.

  whenever the data is changed in a main entry field, the data contained in the sub tabs need to be updated and the filter criteria table previous if everything must be deleted.

  Approach: To do this, I raise a contextual event of the main entry field to call the second sub-tab clearFilter method that looks at below.

  Question: When I'm in the second tab and then change something in the main, contextual event entry field and filter of the table in the second tab is cleared.

  But if I enter a filter in the second tab, move to the first tab and then change something in the main entry field. contextual event does not run.

  When I get back to the second tab, I can still see previous criteria. The contextual event handler method is not called.

  Please suggest how to solve this problem. Contextual events will be called only if the Subscriber is visible on the page?

  Can I erase the layer model filter without having to use the table binding?

  Or is there a better approach to do?

  That's because contextual events propagate active links, including the second tab does not contain when it is hidden. So try to trigger the popup event in response to an event of disclosure tab (on the showDetail) so that when users switch tab, then filter is removed. To avoid unnecessary event context-sensitive invications you can set a flag each time the data in the parent page changes. If this flag is not set, no contextual event is raised

• Problem of the CS6 div layout

  • As the page loads, the curve border placed around the container seems to load it as a small oval, then goes to load correctly, but there is a small area in the upper corner.

• Problem with the page using the not substituted VO

  I expanded the view object AbsenceSummaryVO of the/oracle/apps/per/selfservice/mgrviews/webui/ManagerViewsPG of the page. I created a new view object that extends the object from view of AbsenceSummaryVO, it contains a few added columns.
  
  These added through customization, I added to the tab of the absence of columns. The only problem is... that they are not fulfilled. It seems that Oracle ignores the request to be executed instead of the old one (old data appears perfectly). One of the current columns also changing a value hardcoded still looks like the old value (data base).
  
  
  
  When I look in the MDS repository, I can see the substitution is deployed, remove also the XML necessary for replacement of the filesystem is Oracle generates an error.

  When I look at the page on the business components used, I see the substituted object seen used. However it does not appear in the substitute for the table column, but in a 'normal' line The original view object (AbsenceSummaryVO) is missing from this list. I find it rather strange.

  Patrick,

  You must extend AbsSupHrchyVO instead of AbsenceSummaryVO.
  Although this page mentions that AbsenceSummaryVO is used for the columns it ignores changes to this VO.
  I expanded AbsSupHrchyVO on a test instance and added a few custom columns and they appear in the Absence sub-tab (/ oracle/apps/by/self-service/mgrviews/webui/AbsSupHrchyRN) now.

• Problems with the Panel tabs with CS5, CC2014, CC2015?

  I created a script with TabbedPanel in ESTK CC, works very well in afx CC 2014, but it seems that there are some problems with the other versions (CS5 and CC2015).

  Can someone help how to generalize the limits and the tabs?

  Don't you think that the resource string could solve this problem?

  You can certainly try a resource string. I used only once I understood how they worked, I find it much easier to build a UI in this way.

  myPanel.layout.layout (true);  Tried it, but all child elements arranged in a line or column that's it, do not respect the limits specified.

  To a resource string, make sure that every single container element specified margins or spacing info. If they do not have this set the automatic layout manager will just default to each calibration of control internal specifications, which vary with each version of AE.

  How can I universalize the user interface for all versions of EI? While I'll change once and for all.

  There is no miracle solution for all versions of AE to play nice with your construction. You to beta-test your code in each version of the EA you want your script to run on and then unique questions individually. Your script should contain a checker version AE, so you can know what patches, you need to implement when the user runs the script. It is not ideal and is one of the many oddities of software development based on the API of someone else.

  I am aware that the same question has been asked over three years - but I can't yet find the problem in what I'm doing...

  Description: I have two controls tab, A tab with three tab and tab B with two controls on a Panel. For the following discussion, tab B is of no interest. Each tab control has several numerical indicators, of type integer and double. Now, I want to add a fourth tab control to A tab. This method works.

  Following and problematic stage, in the Publisher of the IUR I select the new tab (most right) and move two positions to the left. It's still ok until I try to display a numeric value of order of tab 3 (the new tab control is left to it). I get an error in calls to SetCtrlAttribute, complain about an invalid control ID... However, I didn't touch any control over the tabs, or add a new control. In addition, I did not touch the generated include file... Visual inspection did not show any changes in the include file (the new tab control is listed only when certain controls are added)

  Posting numbers on the first/far left tab control work only on 3 and 4 which are suitable for the new (and still empty) new tab will generate this error. Adding a control to the new label does not change the bahavior.

  When you get the handle for your tab using GetPanelHandleFromTabPage:

  GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_TAB, 0, & TabHandle);

  the third parameter is an index for the specific tab you want to address.  If you change the order of the tabs, you can change the index, too.  For example, assume that you have a digital control on the third tab from left to right.  You want to assign some value, so this, you:

  GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_TAB, 2, & TabHandle);

  SetCtrlVal (TabHandle, TAB_numMyNumeric, 1);

  Now, you add a new tab to the left of the tab with the digital contorl.  The new tab is now index 2 and the original tab is index 3.  When you call:

  GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_TAB, 2, & TabHandle);

  you get the handle to the new tab.  There is a control with the same ID as TAB_numMyNumeric, so that you get a runtime error.

  Personally, I like to use an enumeration to my tabs so I can keep the lines:

  enum {MY_FIRST_TAB, MY_SECOND_TAB, MY_THIRD_TAB,...};

  So if I redesign the tabs or add a new one I just re - order enums and everything works fine.  Also, I used the same names in my constants of tab, to help keep things straight:

  GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_FIRST_TAB, MY_FIRST_TAB, & TabHandle);

• problem with the Favorites tab

  Hello, I have a problem with the Favorites tab in my browser. I took my computer to a computer shop earlier of him having served. They have changed something in My Favorites tab. The former Favorites tab no longer works properly, otherwise I don't know how to use it properly. A new is now open with a star next to it. This other does not upward with all my favorites. He keeps only upward with them on a daily basis. I would like to know how to get the old Favorites tab to work again. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
