  Hi, I need urgent help for my Pvailion HP dm4-1046tx. When I bought this laptop, it's quite good for me. A few hours earlier, when I listen to music on my Media Player.   I had a problem with the black screen after logo window at startup. To solve it, I installed fresh windows 7 on my laptop Pavilion dm4 1140EZ. My laptop has Intel HD and ATI mobility Radeon 5000 graphics cards. On the HP site I downloaded the driver for Intel, but it lacked ATI driver for my product.  I went to the AMD site and downloaded catalyst control + driver for my ATI card but Intel graphics stops working correctly and graphic ATI did not work as well as on the Device Manager it has shown the device is functioning properly.

  After uninstall of Catalyst Manager Intel graphic it was OK. How should I me switchable graphics? My laptop is warming further than it used to be I think may be due to works on Intel graphics only the video quality is very bad. Kindly help me to install progressively switchable graphics.

  You can use the recovery media to reinstall the graphics driver AMD. Never install the Catalyst Control Center and the AMD driver. The graphics driver for a laptop with switchable graphics is specially coded to provide this functionality. Do not install the Intel driver separately because it would cause the feature switchable graphics to stop working. AMD owns ATI.

  A few days ago, I bought this Pavilion DM4 - 3115TX Beats Edition. (Nr B6U96PA #AR6)

  With the installed operating system, I'm going to install all drivers. Everything works except the finger print driver.

  For me, it's hard to find the compatible driver for this unit from fingerprints.

  Its been 2 days I browse this driver search in this forum of hp.

• Need help with problems upgrade memory on Pavilion DM4

  I have a Pavilion DM4 1201us with original DDR3 2x2gb memory cards.

  I bought a pair of Corsair DDR3 1333 Mhz 4 GB memory cards.

  I have the latest BIOS (F.27) and I'm running the OEM Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - Bit. SP1.

  The BIOS recognizes the 8 Gb and when I run the BIOS memory test it runs without error.

  When I try to boot Win7, it gets somewhere before the logon screen and makes a BSOD with a message about a new memory being installed.

  I went back the Corsair Memory cards, but you need to know if there is a problem with any upgrade up to 8 GB of memory with my particular setup. HP offers an upgrade to 8 GB with the same spec boards. (I'm beyond the warranty period!)

  Have you tried more than one kit of 8 GB?

  The reason why I ask is with memory DDR sometimes reticular sticks will pass all the tests if the two sticks are installed then a stick could be bad without you knowledge.

  Also you tried a bar of 4 GB and a 2 GB stick to see how it worked?

  I have this problem with my player optical dm4-1165dx since I bought it. I was able to remedy this when I had it in warranty (hp support), but now I have reinstall the windows and the problem came back. I remember, the HP guy told me to make a few changes in the registry and it work perfectly. Unfortunately, I did not spare the solution. Please help me if you know the secret!

  I have recently installed the bluetooth module, part number 537921-001, on a Pavilion DV6T-2000, and I can not find the device driver.  It is not automatically install in Windows 8 x 64 and I do not see those who have been made available for Windows 7 x 64 on the support page.

  I also tried to use drivermax and slimdrivers hoping to find it but still no luck.  The device appears in the device as an unknown device manager, but it upward in the BIOS as a device in the System Info screen.

  I understand that the Bluetooth is not installed on your HP Pavilion DV6T-2000 and Windows 8. Windows should pull in the correct driver for the device. I would go into Device Manager and uninstall, then restart the computer with the device in. Here is a link to the drivers.
