Problem OnClick Javascript WebHelp

Hello

I wanted to include a return e-mail link in my webhelp file.

So, in my Master Page I added the following link in the heading of the page:

< a href = "Send feedback" onClick = "parent.location ='mailto: " [email protected] ? Subject = blah blah ' "> < / a > "

It works very well. The link is displayed on all pages, and when I click on an email is generated. Problem is after that I click on the link of webhelp, the right of the image page, that is the subject I see is updated and he says: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

Any ideas how can I fix?

Thank you

Try this script.

http://www.Grainge.org/pages/snippets/mailto.htm

I'm not sure it will work from a master page, but it works in the body.

• Problem with javascript in narrative mode

Hi gurus!

I'm trying to put conditional logic in a narrative view of my analysis. I found some advice and wrote that:

< script >

If ('@ {} {FIN01TIME}'== 'Period')

{

document. Write (" fiscal year: @1 Fiscal Quarter: @2 fiscal year: @3 Roll Up: [{/ b]@{FIN01ND} {} cost center: [{/ b]@{FIN01CC} {} currency: [{/ b]@{FIN01CURR} {}" "]]]]]]")

}

If (' @{FIN01TIME} {} '==' quarter ')

{

document. Write (" fiscal year: @1 Fiscal Quarter: @2 Roll Up: [{/ b]@{FIN01ND} {} cost center: [{/ b]@{FIN01CC} {} currency: [{/ b]@{FIN01CURR} {}" "]]]]]")

}

If ('@ {} {FIN01TIME}'== 'Year')

{

document. Write (" fiscal year: @1 Roll Up: [{/ b]@{FIN01ND} {} cost center: [{/ b]@{FIN01CC} {} currency: [{/ b]@{FIN01CURR} {}" "]]]]")

}

< /script >

Everything works fine, but the problem happens when I "click" on my analysis paging buttons (see attached image: javascript_problem_paging.png). After clicking, it leaves me with a blank page that contains only view narrative. In addition, displays "error on page" message of warning in the status bar (see attached image: javascript_problem_afterclick.png)

I think that this problem occurs with the "onclick" javascript event. I tried to turn it off, but still does not work.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for your time!

Kind regards

Fabian

Hi all!

I have my own answer, jeje.

Instead of using "document.write...". "I put another narrative with a view

control and set its content in "document.getElementById (.). innerHTML = "(le même code HTML)" ""

It works perfectly! I hope that this achievement will help someone else.

• Problem in Javascript

Hello

In apex 3.2 versio, I created a button of the item with the following fields in the display button attributes:

Style: Model based button
Model: button
Attributes: onclick = "javascript:check()"; "

The value of the application button: reset

I wrote javascript code in the header HTML in postings on the page.

The javascript code has been run successfully after at the click of a button

But, in the case of apex demo version 4.0(latest version), I tried the same as above with a button of the item, but I wrote javascript code in a separate JavaScript block in postings on the page. Now, the page is made but the javascript is not executed. I want to know why the script is not running?

Thank you
David.

David,

your original problem was the double-definition of OnClick in APEX 4.0 buttons (once of the APEX, your attributes of button once). To work around this, the URL "javascript:check();" should be the target URL of the button.

Now you want to onblur and similar to call your function of control. To do this, simply specify it under "Key Attributes" like this: onblur = "check (); »

To perform the redirection, you can use this code in javascript

document.location.href="f?p=&APP_ID.:1:&APP_SESSION.::NO:: ";

brgds,
Peter

• Problem running javascript in an interactive report

I have a page which opens a pop-up window. The pop-up window displays a standard report. I added a link to the column in the report so that the selected line will be passed back to the page that opened this popup. It is in the area of the column binding, target's URL and the URL is
JavaScript:passBack('#REGULATION_COMBO_CD#'); JavaScript:parentRefesh(); JavaScript:Window.Close();

It works very well. But since I want to be able to search the report in the pop-up window, I migrated this standard report with one interactive. The link in the column no longer works. It does not return the information or close this pop-up window. So, it looks like the javascript iis does not.

I tried to change the information in the link column in the interactive report box. Can I use the target page and the value of the item fields to transmit the information back to the calling page, but it does not have the javascript code to close this pop-up window.

Have I missed a place where to go the javascript code in an interactive report? APEX 3.1.1 Oracle 10g

Hello

Try to create a function javascript on your page and call rather than run all the code for the link

<javascript type="text/javascript">
function passbackAndClose(v)
{
passBack(v);
parentRefesh();
window.close();
}
</javascript>

put this in the header HTML of your page popup.

Then change the link to:

#" onclick="javascript:passbackAndClose('#REGULATION_COMBO_CD#');

When you connect calls javascript, the browser is expected generally that each function to "return true;" when the function is finished. Usually, it's just supposed to, but sometimes you need to add this in your code.

Also - you parentRefesh()-, if it was parentRefresh()?

• JavaScript - WebHelp and FlashHelp

Our group was developing RoboHelp webhelp files for a software application and we are concerned that if Javascript is not enabled in the browser, our records show as expected (popups and DHTML links does not). I searched for flashhelp to work around this problem, but once again the files are not displayed in the recommended manner if Javascript is disabled. Any suggestions?

If you used Flash and wanted our people to see your product, forget it. Note that some companies do not allow the use of Flash products. The use of Flash evades anything; It does not limit your potential customer base.

As for JavaScripts enabled, it is not that you can do in other State "Activé JavaScript" in your statement of product requirements. You can use a script to test the status and if not enabled by default for a page that lists your needs. A quick search on the Web will get many hits/samples.

Kind regards

• Can't find an answer to this problem of javascript!

Hello
I've always found great Firefox, but I'm about to switch to google chrome because for the last month or more whenever I click on many links, I need to visit, firefox wrote:
"Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the Protocol (javascript) is not associated with any program."
I try the same sites on google chrome and its fine.
This has happened since the last update of Java.
I tried to go to the topic: Configure page and turn on/off the list from true to false, but it works no-loads of them still keep coming up as false.
I would be really grateful is someone could tell me how to solve this problem, or I'll have to say goodbye to firefox which is really sad, because it used to be great

According to a suggestion in another thread, you can try the following to return some JavaScript settings to their default values.

(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

(2) in the filter box, type or paste javasc and make a pause so that the list is filtered

(3) if the line with Network.protocol - handler.external.javascript is "BOLD" (or user shows the true value), double-click on it to return its value to the parameter by default false. This should get rid of this error.

(4) if the line with javascript.enabled is "BOLD" (or user shows the false value), double-click it to return its value to the parameter by default true.

Another thing to do would be to see if you have a current file user.js in your profile folder. The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.

You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-# .js files and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox. You can get the profile below:

• Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory > see folder

or

• Go to Subject: support , and then click view the folder next to the profile directory.
• Problem with JavaScript coding.

I'm new to JavaScript and even coding of the site. I am filling a form dynamically and manage with FF7.

To begin I couldn't even pass the name of the form as an argument with FF7. After simplifying the code to see what is fundamentally wrong, I came to something funny.

The code below at least the input element gets initiated, but if I just declares a variable then it doesn't!

With IE8 and even IE6 all my original code worked perfect. I could fill the entire form, and then change dynamically.

What I do that FF is not?

Thank you.

• Problems running JavaScript despite correct settings

For some reason any, since I have updated to version 3.6 of Firefox, JavaScript does not work anymore.

I checked the help files existing who asked me to check the Options in the Tools menu.

Here are my settings, which should work, but aren't:

1. on the content tab, 'Enable JavaScript' is checked.
2. under Advanced options, the following are checked:

a) Move or resize existing windows

• problem using Javascript window.open Apex 4.2

I'm trying to use javascript to open a new window in Apex 4.2

When the user clicks a button on the item, I want to open the page in a new window

That's what I coded:

On the button

under "the ACTION ONCE the BUTTON has been CLICKED" I select "redirect url".

then enter this: javascript: window.open ('f? p = A:P: & SESSION.) ") ;  where A is the number of the application and P is the page of the application

This method works.

Click the button and a new page opens

the problem is that the old page; the one I was on, disappears. It becomes a blank page with "[object]"displayed in the top left corner, nothing else on the page.

Is there another way to do this?

Try wrapping it in a vacuum similar to this:

JavaScript:void(Window.Open...);

or to add with

Returns false;

as

JavaScript:Window.Open (...); Returns false;

JSPX is a strict xml page... the problem is that your function has a few characters that are interpreted as part of the xml...
As far as I know using & in xml are not valid... you use & amp; instead...

• Problem with merged webhelp (Robohelp 10) linking to the child projects

Hello

I recently upgraded to Robohelp 9 to 10.

I used as indicated on the site Web of Peter Grange merged Webhelp. To establish a link between the projects of the child the hyperlink would be entered as:

.. /Folder/filename.htm

Since the upgrade to 10 new hyperlinks cannot be entered in this format that the OK button when inserting a hyperlink does not let you save.

Existing links still work using the format above.

Is this a change in 10 or I do something wrong?

Thank you

A clean complete re install of RH10 did fix this problem of not being able to return the railways on the projects of the child.

• Problem with Javascript and ActionScript setting / getting variable timing

Hello world

The course

I created a training course, which will run standalone on our intranet for internal staff. Despite the (known) limitations, I use Javascript to validate the form and open a window of e-mail, for the staff member to click Send confirm that they have completed the course. Without a web server or LMS to use, what seems easiest to obtain confirmation of completion of the course. The form itself works very well and we have tested it with some members of staff.

I created a slide in Captivate that contains the form of confirmation with a "submit" button. I added a next button, which appears disabled until the user submits the form successfully.

The problem

When the user clicks on send, I call a conditional Action as follows:

• If 1 = 1 (i.e. always do this)
• Javascript call for:
• Validate the form
• If it is valid
• Open e-mail window
• Set m_VarHandle.Confirmation_Email = 1
• If Confirmation_Email = 1
• Select the next button

Unfortunately, by filling out the form correctly and clicking on send, the next button is not enabled (the fine again active button). On further testing, it seems that the Javascript has finished running before ActionScript moves on the next decision. So when he checks the value of Confirmation_Email it has not yet been fixed and the next button is not enabled.

Any ideas how I can fix this problem?

Thank you

Sarah.

Hello world

I bypassed this problem as follows.

• Added a Clickbox that appears for 0.5 seconds with a break
• Created a disabled button is visible in the output, which is displayed for 0.8 second
• Updated the timeline, so that the next button (active) appears after 0.8 seconds for the rest of the slide
• Added a second Clickbox located to 1.0 second with a break at the end of the slide (2.0 seconds)
• Updated Javascript code to set cpCmndResume to 1 when the form is validated successfully

This results in the desired behavior:

• The slide plays up to 0.5 seconds and stops due to the first Clickbox
• The user can fill out the form at their leisure and submit.
• If the validation fails, the user must correct the form and click on submit
• If the validation is successful, the reading recovery
• When playback is resumed, he passes the 0.8-second mark. The following disabled button disappears and the next active button appears. Playback continues until the second 2.0 mark then paused because of the second Clickbox
• The user can click on Next at their leisure

Thanks for all the reading - hope it will be useful!

See you soon
