Problem with displaying more of 2 PDF files simultaneously

I have a problem when you try to view multiple PDFs simultaneously (anytime using acrobat 9 pro or acrobat reader 9.2.0). See attached screenshot. Very annoying. Does anyone know what causes this problem?

Thank you!Display.jpg

  • Problems with showing all text in pdf file

    Hi all
    I have this problem. When I download a pdf file on the Web site of our company as a link and then when I open the link, most of the text in the file is as symbols. The pdf file is a brochure and is exported from CorelDraw. The brochure consists of photos and text. For me, very important is to solve the problem, because most of our customers use Mozilla firefox and they must be able to see everything on the brochure.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best wishes

    Hello again, yes the development version of the pdf viewer addon is a snapshot at the beginning of what will go into future versions of firefox. so when the display problem is not obvious in the version of the pdf viewer dev, this means that no bug must be filed and the solution is already underway to enter in the next update of firefox.

    I can't give you an exact date on what will be your problem in firefox, because without a real pdf taste it is not possible to know what bug caused the problem. However, according to the pdf.js developers a difficulty which is already present in the current version of the developer at least will make in firefox (scheduled for the end of April) 29.

    you could test yourself if the problem is still present in firefox (beta) 28 or 29 (aurora) firefox: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/

  • unexpected problem with links to URLS in PDF files

    Hi all

    I have some PDF documents that contain some URLS which once hovered over or clicked behaves as expected. I need to put these PDFs through our control software upstream which checks and corrects things and writes a new file. When the new PDF is displayed there more active links. I can not change the software to control upstream, but I just want to understand what is happening. Links in PDF files are not created manually in any program created (for example, Indesign) but are just to make links by Acrobat/Reader (because the 'create links option URL' are lit)-if I turn this option off the links in the original PDF work stoppage. In my tests some links still work in the new PDF but others do not, but I do not see why some would not. In addition, links in the new PDF files that worked often did not the first time you open the PDF but would be the second time that they were opened (once the program has been revived). All this is just weird!

    The text in question is a selectable text in the PDF file (not converted to outlines or rasterised) and regularly works until the file is preflighted. But whether it is always selectable text in the new PDF why would not Acrobat/Reader displays links as usual. What could the preflight software may have which would spoil this process?

    I'm just checking le files in Acrobat Pro 10.1.10 (Windows), 8.3.1 and on Mac 9.5.5.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

  • Problems with Firefox Beta Android and .pdf files

    I read the local newspaper online, and individual pages are in the form of .pdf files. With the Firefox for Android beta by clicking on said ads downloadable file and automatically calls up the default PDF Reader which opens the page. Some recent changes in the beta just downloads the file. I then manually click to open it. Tried default compensation on Firefox and the Kindle app, force judgment both, all without result... suggestions?

    Bob

    the change has been made in firefox 25 - that's why you now see this behavior only in the beta version of firefox. the general release for firefox 25 is scheduled for next week.
    I initially also thought to recommend the pdf.js - addon as an alternative, but I find it very slow on my android too. Unfortunately I don't know any other solution currently.

  • Problems with the user of the pdf file

    I have a client who uses several forms that I created for them. But they found that they cannot save pdf (to records) forms. I can save versions of each form since I have the program installed on my computer, but they do not.

    Is this something I did when I created the form? Or simply the nature of the forms. They did not want the "print" button and they need a digital copy, not only a printed copy of these forms. These are interim forms used until an accounting program is installed.

    Thanks for any help!

    In Acrobat X, the menu has moved to file > save as > Reader Extended PDF > activate additional features. ;-)

  • Customer having problems with Acrobat 11.0.3 and files created in earlier versions

    We see problems with our PDF according to the version of Adobe, they are treated with.

    If the PDF file has been created before 11.0.3 and look you with the 11.0.3 you will see places in the stories of SQL/Oracle text fields.
    If the PDF file has been created with 11.0.3 and you watch with the 11.0.3, it's very good.

    Update.  As with most of the Software Support services / correct information is not always received and must be forced to leave the customers.

    PDF files are created in Adobe Acrobat and stored on a network server Microsoft drawing of car accidents.  The files are then merged within an Application Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0 SP2 with data from Microfoft SQL Server 2005 Database via an ODBC driver for FoxPro and then created slider with a form of Visual FoxPro. VFP displaies report form page / print the file PDF is an OLE file object and is created / printed by Amyuni 4.5xx converter to PDF file and then read with Adobe Acrobat 11.0.3.

    There is software that will make these controls. So in this sense, there is a way to check. However, it would be a task of programming and not necessarily simple. So I really can't help you on the aspect of programming (I refer to something like SDK forum for programming).

    To check the file, you would normally open the properties of the document (ctrl-D). The general tab displays the version number and the tab fonts you will tell which fonts are used and integrated.

  • I have problems with anchors named in my htm file. I clearly identify them as being in the document (ie., internal links within the file).  When I preview the file in a browser, the links point to my hard drive, which is totally false. What do I need

    I have problems with anchors named in my htm file. I clearly identify them as being in the document (ie., internal links within the file).  When I preview the file in a browser, the links point to my hard drive, which is totally false. What should I do to change it?  I use DreamWeaver 2004 on a PC.

    You will need to correct the links that begin with "file".

    Now that your site has been defined, you just delete the bad links and DW left write the good ones for you.

    Click on the yellow folder on the property inspector, and then select the target page.

    If your site is small, you can edit the links manually (remove the part in red)

    content.htm file:///C:/desktop/localRootFolder/subfolder/subfolder/images/

    It would be useful that post you your code on the page so that we can see if you use the old technique or new for these links.

  • Save Indd Filename with the name of any PDF file

    Hi all, I'm not much more than a programmer, so this may seem like an incredibly easy problem for most of you, but it's confusing to me. I'm under Indesign 5.5, and I have a javascript that I hacked together who will have to intervene once PDF on a page to the specific spacing. I want the script to do next is to insert the name of the PDF file in a textbox somewhere on that and then you page prompts to save the indesign file with the default filename the name of the placed pdf file.

    Kel if the file name of the PDF file on this page is "TDC-smith - 1.pdf", the text "TDC-smith-1"appears in a text box on this page and then the indesign file would save with a file name by default of "TDC-smith-1 fr.indd". Who is?

    Thank you!

    Loic thanks for your help. You helped me to be part of the solution. In the end if I was able to find a more simple solution, based on a few other scripts I dug up, which did exactly what I needed. It is not quite as elegant as it should (there no controls or alerts if the script requirements), but it does the job well enough.

    Basically, it creates just a variable for the filename and the filepath of the first chart that it finds in the document. It then uses a replacement text script to remove the name of the PDF extension and exchange the text in a text box that contains "Default Text", also adding a variable that I use earlier in the script to indicate how many PDF files have been strengthened. Finally, it saves the document in the same folder as the PDF file using the MyImagePath variable, also the number of PDFs variable by the name of file.

    I hope that someone finds it useful!

    myDoc var = app.activeDocument;

    var myImage = myDoc.allGraphics;

    find the file name and path of the PDF in the document

    for (var i = 0; myImage.length > i; i ++) {}

    App.Select (myImage [i]);

    var MyImageName is myImage [i].itemLink.name;.

    var MyImagePath is myImage [i].itemLink.filePath;.

    }

    replace the text box that contains "Default Text" by "filename-number of labels variable-up."

    replaceText ("Default Text", MyImageName + '-' + myNumberOfLabels + 'up');

    replaceText (".pdf", "");

    function replaceText (input, output)

    {

    app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;

    app.findTextPreferences.findWhat = entry;

    app.changeTextPreferences.changeTo = output;

    app.activeDocument.changeText ();

    app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;

    }

    Save the file co-operate in the same directory as PDF, with the same name of PDF + variable indicating the number of labels stepping

    ;

    saveFile = File (MyImagePath.replace(/.pdf$/, ") +"-"+ myNumberOfLabels +"up"+".indd");

    app.activeDocument.save (saveFile);

    }

  • Problem with URLS in InDesign to PDF

    I have two links in my InDesign document.

    When I output to an interactive PDF and open in Adobe Reader, the link is there, but I get a message that "Acrobat does not connect to [URL].

    I have a clickable link in the document, then I right click on it and in the interactive "Add URL" box do I've done several times, so I am confident that the URL is correct. one of them is my own Web site.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Certainly somewhat ironic!  However it still does not seem good, you say that Acrobat lets connect you to any URL but the drive does not work?  If Acrobat doesn't prove what you do in Indesign to create the link are OK and this is a problem with the drive.  If you can post a link to your file and someone else can check it out, it might not only your player.  BTW, you should be able to check the same security setting preference in Reader as well.

    I'm trying to merge 2 PDF files using the Acrobat JavaScript Scripting Guide script sample, but it does not work for some reason any.

    I can has merged the 2 PDF files manually, but not by script.  I hope that in a script I can forced Adobe XFA forms that I created LCDesigner with the AcroForms.  Merge AcroForms and XFA forms.  I know that in manually may not merge. I wonder if it can it be done through JavaScript?  The doc1 doc2 I have are regular AcroForms

    Thank you 1 million for your help & suggestions

    Trang

    Hi Trang,

    XFA forms (created in the LC Designer) and AcroForms (created in Acrobat) are completely different animals!

    The XFA form is wrapped in a wrapper that runs in Acrobat/Reader. You cannot merge (AFAIK) an XFA form and a PDF (or AcroForm).

    The best that you will achieve is to attach an XFA form into a PDF file.

    Alternatively, you can group the XFA and PDF forms in a portfolio.

    Good luck

    Niall
