  This is my second iMac in three months. I had to return my last iMac due to massive connectivity issues and had the same mistakes with Adobe CS 4. Photoshop is my main tool and why I post here.

  Use the restore license tool. Everything has worked well in the first round.

  Second round, not so much. The tool doesn't start, gives me a message saying "PowerPC Applications are no longer supported.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated because I am confused.

  I have no whatsoever FLEXnet files and permission repair disc fixed nothing.

  The reason for this is LicenseRecovery.app is a PPC application and only works on OS x 10.6.8 with of Rosetta PPC emulator.

  This is why you must open the Terminal and use the license Recovery.py, a python script.

I had already installed on my old laptop and when that broke, I just transferred on an external hard drive on my new computer laptop (OS X Yosemite).   You say that you transferred applications.  They must be installed using installation files, so if you have the disks and serial number you should have everything you need to install and activate.  Uninstall what you have on it now, use the cleaning tool and then reinstall it from your disks (or download: Download CS4 products ).

  "Licensing has stopped working" quite suggested adobe: remove Flexnet license repair tool, disk permissions ext ect. I recently had a new hard drive put in my IMAC, after the failure of a last they improved BONES to 10.9.2, perhaps this has something to do with it? Impossible to uninstall the last hard drive? idk. I couldn't reach anyone at adobe, and although I've seen other people with the same problem I saw a solution. @

  After research on the internet and in discussions with several Adobe service representatives, the answer is so simple! CS4 is not compatible with 10.9.2!
